"It's been over 6 months and it's taken 3 James moder chandeliers to be sent that don't look like someone took a baseball bat to it. Crystal broken, arms bent- even received one with an entire arm missing. The quality is poor and not like pictured but I'm also concerned I'm not receiving the quality crystal I ordered. I'm pretty sure the last one came with poor quality glass but I had ordered a more expensive crystal - although I'm not sure how to validate the quality. Just a really disappointing purchase. It took them months to get me my order but refused any discounts and have been contacting me constantly to send back the broken one. "
"When I ordered through Crystorama, i didn't realize i'd be dealing with 1 stop lighting. It's a constant shifting of responsibility of incompetence. This way, no one gets to take responsibility. They held onto my money for a month, I lost money due to this, and I have no product. A month of, "oh, it's discontinued" "oh, wait, it's not" "oh it was sent to someone who didn't order it in a state across the country from yours" "oh, it's not our fault, it's Crystorama's", "oh, it's on back order, we can replace in 2 months", "oh, it's discontinued", "Oh, we sent the last two of a product you ordered to someone else", "oh, it was just a mix up of tracking numbers we'll get you the right tracking order", "oh, it's discontinued and here's you 10% off that we gave to you a month ago when we first said the item was discontinued". I am actually stupid-er for having to deal with them and they did nothing to make it better. They made it out to be my fault for feeling frustrated with their mixed messages and incompetence. "
"Worst experience ever. The sales staff are completely incompetent! I placed an order for almost $10,000 worth of fixtures for a new house and the sales associate struggled to get the order placed. It took 3 days and 9 calls! Two of the fixtures had to have additional chain length and wiring. Despite all of this, the order was still not fulfilled correctly as the fixtures showed up without the correct chain length. I'm now trying to resolve this issue.
Save yourself a lot of headache and frustration...shop somewhere else!"
"I ordered a ceiling part from this store over 2 weeks ago. It was damaged along the way. Never received the order.
I called 3 times and left 2 emails with no response. I was on hold last Friday trying to reach customer service for over a 1/2 hour finally went to the commercial side and got a live voice. He was not very helpful. He told me he would try to get a hold of someone on the retail side to call me back but never got a response.
Going on 3 weeks now and still haven't received a response.
HORRIBLE SERVICE

"I ordered a chandelier for a rental condo, I was remodeling. The online ordering information advertised 2 day delivery which I confirmed for this item by calling and speaking to a member of their sales staff. When I got the tracking number, the 2 days had become 8 days. I had made it clear to the sales person that I would not order the chandelier unless I could get it during the week and I was assured there would be no problem, so I cancelled an order with another company for the same item because I would get this one sooner. I called customer service twice and all they would do is offer a refund which which did nothing to get the chandelier to me as promised. I finally checked with FedEx and found out that the chandelier was shipped by ground from across the country. It is clear that the advertising and promise of 2 day delivery was a lie. I am considering filing a complaint with BBB for false advertising. Next time I will buy through Amazon."
"Ordered a light fixture. I called them immediately when it arrived because it would not work in the area I needed it to. I was instructed to return it. I paid to return it and insured the return. Two months later, still no refund. I called to ask about the status and they had to investigate. After a couple days, I received an email that stated they denied the refund along with a picture of a box with crumpled, broken styrofoam (this is not the way it looked when I sent it back two months ago). After multiple phone calls and lots of time on hold, I was called by a snotty supervisor named Stephanie who basically tried to feed me a bunch of lies as to why it took two months to get back to me (all of which were my fault, of course). Once I stated that I had the paper trail that proved it was returned two months ago, she magically gave me the refund. All this after I paid to ship it back and also had to call multiple times and go through multiple people. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS AWFUL COMPANY!!!!"

"Was shorted two of 3 Eye Hook Loops which connect to each end of three rods which then to hook to main light ring. I reported it this past Monday, Feb 29th. Talked with Matt.
1. Received email Monday that I’d receive notice within 1-3 days when parts would ship, however, No Response/Follow up!
2. Emailed sales@1stoplighting Wednesday, Jan 31st and again received no response. – No Response/Follow up!
3. Called yesterday, Friday Feb 2nd, spoke with Liz who promised part would most likely ship yesterday. And she also promised a follow up call or email update yesterday, however, once again - No Response/Follow up!
A very consistent pattern of - No Response/Follow up!
Liz did arrange a $25 credit back to my cc for which I did see, (thank you for that), but my dining room ceiling is exposed with unsightly wires hanging out from critical missing parts. Would gladly trade $25 back for notification parts have shipped!
Well over one week has passed and can’t even get info when/ if missing parts will ship! Very Poor Customer Service! Will pay more from other merchants before doing business with 1stop. Avoid, do not buy!"
"Ordered a chandelier, however same day I ordered it I found another one I preferred so I called to change the order but was told it couldn't just be changed and I actually had to cancel the first one and order the second one. So I canceled the order and then a week later, it still arrived at my door even though I was never sent any confirmation that it had shipped or tracking number!
I sent it back and am still waiting to be refunded days and days after. Amazon refunds usually done within a couple of days by comparison!
The second item I ordered also arrived on the same day and it arrived in a box that was full of crumbled styrofoam bits all broken up into tiny bits like fake snow that made a terrible mess although I tried to unpack it very carefully, obviously it was a previously returned item.
I returned that as well and still waiting for a refund!!

"I found some lights I liked but the promo code listed on the site wouldn't work. I called and they honored the code with no problem. When I received the lights, one of them had a broken glass shade. I called and they immediately had a replacement sent out. Very pleasant service!"
