"I had questions about justification for the vendor's RAM recommendations based on operating system as well as quality comparisons to Kingston RAM. The response I received was a URL to their web site that does't tell me what I need to know. I had already been to the web site which is why I emailed them in the first place."
"Ordered memory Jan 23 and finally received an email saying it was shipped Jan 30th at 8pm.
Email says it only take up to 3 business days to process. This is what you are dealing with everyone. Talking to them on the phone is useless since they give no authority to these people to do anything or so they say. Worst service I've ever had.
I could've had another shipment placed elsewhere (NEWEGG) and had it 4 days ago.
DONT BUY FROM 1ST CHOICE MEMORY YOU ARE WASTING YOUR MONEY. "
"Although it took a while for my RAM to get here I am extremely happy with the product. I bought 512 MB of PC 133 RAM from 1st Choice Memory for only $32. The packaging was excellent, it came in a small package inside an anti-static bag sandwiched in between two foam pads. When I had to deal with customer service they were extremely helpful, courteous, and highly professional.
When I finally received my RAM it was brand new. I will definitely do business with this company again in the future.

"I made the mistake of ordering my memory using the us postal service
and it took 2weeks from the time I got the shipping conformation till the memory arived.
But overall I am fairly satisfied with the service
At least with this company when you call you can talk to somebody who knows what they are doing."
"I have purchased a total of 512 memory from this site and at the same time purchased a motherboard from another site, a CPU from still another site, and a CPU fan from yet another site. I have received all the other items that I purchased last week. My shipment wasn't even called into Fedex until th 24th. I still have not received it. I will keep you posted on whether the memory even works or not. I wish I would have come here first before ordering it.
UpDate - 2-2-03
I received my order and put my computer together. Low and behold, it worked. The memory was packed fine and was brand new. The bags were never opened. So I can say this, they may be slow, but they did come through for me."
"This is a GREAT COMPANY. (the name says it all)I am a very picky buyer. I want the right part at the right price. I have been ripped off by other E-stores and now use this web-site before I buy from anyone. 1st choice memory has VERY FAST SHIPPING, very GOOD PRICES and you get the RIGHT PARTS you order. Thank you 1st choice memory and keep up the good work."
"Memory was bad. Had to return it on my dime with alot of needless paperwork. Replacement shipped to me a couple weeks later. Shipping costs were charged to my credit card with out my approval. The most expensive rate was used, without my approval. The replacement memory was also bad. I was told I could ship it back again on my dime for a refund minus a restocking fee. Manager was very rude on the phone and all but hung up on me claiming other customers were on hold. This company does not seem to stand behind its products and doesn't seem to care about its customers. Save the hassel and PLEASE find another company to order from."

** Shipment comments 8 out of 10 **
Their shipping chart is accurate "Ordered before 12PM on Friday with Ground Should Arrive Following Friday - Wednesday". It even falls in the FedEx guaranty that it will arrive within 7 business days.
** Packaging 10 out of 10 **
Very well packaged, box about 9"x6"x2" very strong corners. 2 gray wavy foam sheets sandwiched the RAM, it was sealed in the anti-static packaging.
** Now the RAM 10 out of 10 **
The ones that I ordered G64x64S-PC133 Brand new; no finger prints; the golden connecters are clean and shiny, don’t have the lines that show it was put into a motherboard. And best of all The PC booted the 1st time with the new RAM without a problem.
** Bottom line **
Because of the very well packaging and brand new RAM I will certainly order from them again.

"I bought a 512mb stick of PC133 for only $24 with $.50 for shipping. Took about a week to get it. It worked fine. I'll definately order from them again."
"I purchsed 2 sticks of their "high grade" PC133 512 MB RAM. My order went in on Oct. 7, 2002. My 4-5 day shipping arrived on the Oct. 18, 2002.
Both sticks of RAM were DOA! Their website claims the RAM I ordered would be name brand. The chips were made by some company named LUSTY. I have never seen nor heard of these guys and could find no info on them. Apparently, their version of name brand RAM isn't quite accurate.
I did get through on the phone the first time. The tech acted like this was quite common, and while he didn't admit the RAM was not what I ordered, he did say it sounded like there was a mistake. Either way, 2 sticks being DOA is a crock.
To their credit, I was told they would cover $6 of my return shipping. I haven't sent in the RAM yet, so we will see if the nightmare continues."
"Purchased a stick of pc2700 memory from them. Granted, I didn't get their "memory sent from god himself" grade because their mid-grade memory met my needs (that being CAS 2, reputable manufacturer, etc). When I received the package, I immiediately knew something was awry. Now, call me crazy, but I would think that a DDR333 chip running at CAS 2 would come with a heat spreader. Still, I let that slide because it wasn't THAT big a deal. What is a big deal is that the manufacturer of the memory is certainly no one I've ever heard of. (It was like rybol or something). Second and most important, serial presence detect said that this memory was CAS 2.5. When I tried to override, my machine would no longer POST. I contacted 1st choice regarding the matter, informing them that I really needed this memory and requested upgraded shipping and/or processing. They agreed that an order mistake was made, and informed me that I could purchase a new stick and upgrade the shipping and just return the original. To which I said "okay. But will you refund the complete amount including the restock fee?" To which they responded in the negative. I have to be honest, I can't recommend a company that makes mistakes and then asks their customers to pay for them. I would like to be able to vouch for the quality of their product because a friend of mine has purchased from them in the past. Unfortunately, I can't. "
"Ordered a stick of 512mb PC133 for $34 free shipping., took a chance on the lowest price on pricewatch. And they had decent reseller ratings.
They shipped the memory the next day. And i received it 3 days later West coast to the east coast. Nothing but praise for them!! No problems, It even had a Heatspreader on it."
"Excellent prices, easy RMA procedure, email communication could be a bit better when contacting customer service, phone help was courteous and helpful"
"Best price on the web. Bought 512 stick of PC133 SDRAM for $29. Was sort of in the dark about the shipping, though. They didn't give me a tracking # or anything. It turned out ok when it came, 2 days before expected. Plus, i get a lifetime warranty."
"Quick service, nice website explaining the differences between their different types off memory grades. Confirmations via email when order was recieved and shipped. Good prices, despite not being as cheap as other low end vendors (stay away from them guys they are not worth the hassle). Got a free shipping deal.
I'm a bit disappointed with the quality of the memory. I got their PC3200 DDR Major Brand Grade. I did get a KingMax stick, but I am having problems running it at 2700 CAS 2 on my MSI 645 Ultra Mb. The better category is supposed to be CAS 2 at 3200. I bought another stick from GEIL that boots into Windows at DDR400 2.5 CAS and runs almost stable @ PC2700 CAS 2. Could also be my MB, but I expected more for the 10-15% higher price of the 'Better' category. The GEIL stick was the same price.
I ordered more memory from them, this time going for the cheaper brand of PC2700. I'll update this if the experience is different."
