"I was somewhat apprehensive at the idea of going with a smaller company instead of the usual Holy Trinity (Dell, HP, Gateway); in fact, it seems that you can find good and bad reviews for any computer companies these days. What decided me is mostly the price; I could get the same computer (Awesome 3500) with some upgrades for about $200-$300 than the previously mentioned companies (notably, added 512mb of RAM for $83 instead of $200 at Dell!). In the end, I must say that I was very nicely surprised of the whole experience with ABS. Despite some problems concerning my billing address (my bank's fault), they solved the problem smoothly. The computer shipped on time and in excellent condition. Everything works beautifully, the job done is very professional, and they even provide a binder where they put all the software/documentation relevant to the computer. All in all, a great deal both in terms of price and quality! Based on my personal experience, I can only recommend ABS."

"I purchased a pretty well customized box from ABS, which required placing the order by phone. The sales person who took my order was very well versed and helpful. For some reason, there were complications between verbally placing the order and what appeared on the invoice at first, but that was straightened out (before the order went through) with a couple of phone calls.

My only other problem was that the casing came in the wrong color. I didn't try to contact them to fix since this I preferred to keep it in that color rather than send it back for the cosmetic change.

I haven't had the need to try their tech support.

If you're looking to pick and choose your components (as oppposing to buying from and HP or Dell , etc.) I have no problem in recommending ABS."

"I purchased an Awesome 3240 in March 2003. Overall I have been very happy with the quality and performance of the computer. I had one problem and tech services solved it very quickly. I was on hold for less than 10 minutes and the problem was solved in about 3 minutes. This was much better than with my previous computer whick was a Dell. The only problem I had was trying to make McAfee Viruscan which I purchased with the computer work. After many e-mails back and forth with McAfee I gave it away as ABS wouldn't refund the $14 it cost since I didn't complain until after their 30 day return period."

"Summary: This was a good purchase experience and am very satisfied with the product. Ordered a Sensation 1300, deleting some items such as speakers from the base $859, for a great price of $706 on an extremely fast computer (tower only). Would I buy from ABS again? Definitely.

This was the first time I ordered a PC from ABS. Ordered on Saturday 8/9/03, and received an e-mail from ABS on 8/14/03 explaining there would be a slight delay in shipping my order due to an overload of orders. This was understandable, as the weekend of 8/9/03 they offered free shipping as a back to school special. I jumped on this offer, and apparently many others also did.

My order was received from Fedex on 8/21/03. The box was in good shape and there was no damage. Opened the tower prior to powering up to check for connections which might have come lose in shipping - everything was in good shape. The ribbon cables and some of the power cables were banded with plastic quick ties, and this kept them from flopping around in transit.

Was particularly happy with the Organizer binder containing the software and documentation, video card, Windows, etc. each in it's own color coded ziploc bag. Thank you ABS.

The hard drive already had the operating system and all drivers loaded, and as a bonus there was an image of the drive copied into another partition as a backup.

The PC is working great. No problems at all. Love the 10 bay case, it's going to be easy to tinker and do upgrades in the future.

My only complaint is that with three fans (side, top, and power supply) there is a little more noise than my previous computer. For noise control am experimenting with a small piece of egg crate foam on the wall behind the tower, and this has helped.

"I spent 6 months researching a new computer purchase. I had a laptop P3 so wasnt in a rush. I even considered the cost of building my own and Abs was still cheaper. The best part is they use all high quality parts. The machine I bought (Awesome 3550) p4 2.53 ghz, 120 gb hd, 1gb ddr ram, 128mb video, sound blaster Audigy, Klipsh 400 watt speakers, dvd rom, 52 x cdrw, wireless keyboard/mouse, Msi motherboard, exta fans...all for under $1200(back in april 2003) I havnt had to call them once...everything works great. The computer runs just as quiet and fast as day one even though I have installed tons of stuff! My friends paid so much more a t dell, gateway, Micron. Do yourself a favor build to your specs at ABS..Dont waste any more time. I will purchase a DVD burner from them shortly. "
