"Absolutely wonderful computer. Blazing speed and I like that I can choose which components will go in the system. One minor gripe, their was a small piece of aluminum foil that was lodged in one of the open memory slots. I took it out and all was fine but I believe that it should have been caught during assembly or testing of the system."

"I've been a customer for so long, I can't even remember when my first purchase was!

The first computer system I purchased was an 80386 machine probably purchased in the very late 80's.

Since then, I've purchased 4 additional
machines. A Pentium I 100MHz, Pentium II 450MHz, Pentium III 933Mhz and now
my latest purchase of a Pentium IV 3.0GHz

My 80386 machine is gone, simply obsoleted. I still had my Pentium I machine up and running until recently when it finally failed. I used as a simple Print Server in a small home network.

All other machines are still running. One ViewSonic monitor failed within the warrantee period and it was replaced/refurbished by the manufacturer. One Maxtor hard drive also
failed but outside the warrantee period and I simply replaced it with a new, bigger one.

Not a bad failure rate over probably a period of about 15 years, especially since I am a software developer as an employee of Automatic Data Processing and my own small consulting company. I make extensive use of my machines, they don't just sit and sleep.

As technology improves, so does ABS sales/customer service. I see no reason
to believe that I will not continue my purchases through ABS.

"I just read the comments by law02 and I must disagree. I was referred to ABS by a friend who has ordered at least 3 computers from them and he has had excellent service and support. He has also referred other friends and family and all have been very satisfied. I searched for quite a long time and finally decided to buy from ABS based on my friend's recommendation as well as the reviews I read online and in computer magazines. I ordered my system on May 12, speaking with Eddie in sales, and it arrived on May 20th. They had made a mistake and built the system with the wrong color case, but with one phone call they issued a FedEx call ticket and it was picked up the next day and shipped back to them overnight (at their cost.) The system was rebuilt in the correct case and I received it on June 3rd (a little long, but not outrageous.) I set the system up that night and it was running fine, but then I had a problem where it won't start back up. Tech support walked me through several steps to try to fix the problem, and they have decided that it probably has a faulty video card. They are sending me a new card via FedEx overnight (again at their expense), and I just received a call from Eddie saying they are sending me an upgraded card and a t-shirt for my troubles. Every time I have called the company I have been treated friendly and they have worked to correct any problems. I have been a bit frustrated because of the problems I have had, but I realize that sometimes products fail. The main thing is that ABS has been working with me to make sure they fix the problem. The times I have called and left messages I have been called back within minutes, and so far I have received very good service. I'll update this after I receive the new video card, but for now I have to say I am satisfied with the service I have received.

UPDATE 6/08/03 - I received my new videocard (via FedEX Saturday delivery!) and I installed it easily. Now the system is working great! This is the fastest computer I've ever used....all top brand name components, good looking, good performance, good price. I've received excellent service and support and I now can highly recommend ABS to everyone I know! Thanks again to Eddie for all his help in taking care of my problems.
