Easy ordering and good communications regarding delivery

"The search features on the AC Wholesalers website made it easy to find what I was looking for, and the shipping company they used (Old Dominion Freight Line) was great to work with. The shipping company called me a couple days before delivery to provide a delivery time estimate, and they even worked with me to allow the A/C to be delivered without having someone there to sign for it."

Website purchase easy, customer service HARD to get through to

"It was easy to research heat pumps on their website and choose the unit needed for our home. It was also easy to compare units to each other to see which one better met our needs. They offer full manufacture warranties. I was satisfied with my purchase in the end. BUT I needed to contact Customer Service on two different occasions. The first call was to ask a question about the air handler I wanted to purchase but no one ever answered after and extremely long wait. The second call I waited on hold for a half hour before someone answered. The lady talked so fast and put me on hold to transfer me before I could even answer her. I was on hold another half hour and no one answered. I called back on a different day and waited a half hour again, because the freight company lost half our unit in shipping. A lady answered and this time listened to what was going on, I asked her to please help and not transfer me because no one ever answers after being transferred. I was transferred anyway and told it would be a short wait. Well another half hour later, someone answered. They processed my lost item and told me they would need to contact the freight company and that the unit would have to be lost for 3 days before they could reprocess the order and reship it. The unit was found by the freight company and did arrive a couple of days later...after they lost it twice. The person that was helping me did take down my phone number and called me back because we lost connection, so that was nice that I didn't have to wait on hold again. I would use ACWholesalers again because they do sell good products with great warranties, I would try to ask my questions by email and hope to get a response that way; especially if I couldn't get through by phone in a shorter amount of time, and I would most definitely request a different delivery company. "

What a nightmare in the Texas heat

"I spoke to a very nice man when I contacted ACWholesalers. I explained to the man exactly what I wanted, he told me what to order. I am very excited when it arrives. A few days later we open up boxes and realize its the wrong unit. He had me order a horizontal unit instead of a vertical unit. Trying to get this corrected and the correct one sent out has been unpleasant to say the least. I called to get things moving and I have to wait until someone calls me back 24-48 hours."

"Ordering was good and easy. Delivery was not good. It sat in the shipping company warehouse for 3 days. They couldn't contact us cause they said HVAC gave them a bad phone number. They tried to contact HVAC by email and never got an answer back. I got ahold of the shipper and they were only 30 miles away so I went and picked it up. Not a very good experience. Sorry but someone should have emailed me to let us know they had a bad number but no one did. "

"It took over two months to get the correct parts to repair a split system still under warranty. These folks don't have a clue on providing customer service after the sale- stay away if you have other options!!! "
