I am a novice with computer hardware, but I had decided to try my hand at building my own rig. Months of research later, I stumbled into the AVADirect website and looked around. I compared my cost of buying components at the best price I could find with the price of buying a pre-assembled unit from AVADirect and the small difference in cost was enough to convince me to go with the pros.

As a novice, I had many questions both before placing my order as well as afterwards. My calls were always answered promptly and courteously and all my questions and doubts were quickly resolved. AVADirect maintains a messaging system attached to each order. During the build process, my account accumulated over 30 messages. All questions received a courteous, professional response within 15 minutes. I dealt with Joe Mundy both on the phone and by message and he was always responsive to my questions and concerns. At one point I was considering changing one of the components based on internet comments and Joe talked me down off the ledge. My computer arrived packed securely in a padded box within a box full of shock absorbing peanuts with a handy guide to unpacking. Inside the case was additional padding to prevent movement of the internal parts, primarily the heavy CPU cooling tower. I was up and running within 20 minutes.

All parts and packaging were included in the shipping box including unused cables, screws, even the empty tube of thermal compound! Also included were all the manuals. The results of AVADirect's extensive testing prior to shipment were included on the drive of the computer. The total time from order to shipping was 13 business days, but the results were well worth the wait. Rome wasn't built in a day and neither is a computer built with this much care and craftsmanship.

My new computer is a thing of beauty and efficiency. All the wires and cables in the case are out of sight, creating an open case with terrific airflow. My CPU is a 6-core 3930 with a GeForce 670 and I did not want a liquid cooling system. My worries about heat were quickly dispelled as the core temperature under full load with a 26C ambient room hover around 40C thanks to the great airflow generated by the case fans. It is so quiet I hardly even notice it is there. Super fast, rugged, well constructed - I look forward to years of enjoyment using my new AVADirect computer.

I am very pleased with my new computer from AVADirect. In fact, I was so happy with my purchase, within days of receiving my unit, I ordered a new laptop for my wife. It should be arriving soon and I look forward to opening another AVADirect box.

"Just bought my second computer from AVA Direct and once again I am very pleased. This time around I went with an I3770K on an Asus Sabertooth z77 mobo with 16Gb Ram and an Nvidia gtx 680. The AVA team really knows how to put a computer together. The wiring job is amazing. This new rig I had some issues with the on-board sound which turned out just to be a difference with the newer technology. "It has been quite a while since I've owned a good computer, much less a good gaming computer: the cost of buying a higher-end PC was simply too much for me to afford, and what I could afford was at best inadequate for modern gaming. "I never really owned a laptop and I was scouring the internet for a decent website that didn't try to charge me an arm and a leg for every part (Looking at you, Alienware) yeah, they probably have good parts but it was nearly 4,000 dollars for something of similar over there and a bit under half when I bought it from AVADirect. Their website isn't as neat or fancy, but if you took the time to read what they wrote. You'd understand that it put me at ease to give them a try. Keep in mind I never heard of AVAdirect.

Their prices update on a daily basis to reflect on the cost of each part. I placed three orders in the span of three days because I wasn't sure, each one was different from the last by at least fifty dollars. Good or bad, so that's nice. They have an updated pricing system.

When I was building it, I really had no idea what I was doing. But it was pretty simple and with a bit of research I got the idea of what kind of laptop I wanted. Right when I submitted my order, I got a message from Joe Mundy shortly after explaining each part and the compatibility together. (Some were bad and had high failure rates, etc) It was actually kind of nice. He gave me a different set of options and I went with that instead.

After roughly two or three weeks, he kept me updated on how my computer was being made. I think they even send you pictures if you'd like to see it during the progression line. They build it and put it through tests to see if everything is okay, Joe was kind enough to let me know how it was going and eventually sent it out to me last week.

It came pretty secured. A box.. in a box.. in a box with enough cushion to ship a bomb. Anyhow, I ran most of my games on max settings and wow, the thing is smooth and runs like a beast. It didn't have clutter junk or garbage littered on my computer and unwanted programs like my desktop pcs. It was all minimal and even had things setup for me with tests done to it to check on everything before I gave it a whirl. It was great!

I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking to buy a PC of any sort instead of going else where to buy a house or car for the similar parts.
