"I was looking for a Shuttle Computer to do a specific job, and needed a supplier who could help me with the spec and then build the system. A quick phone call to AVADirect confirmed the base model and the configuration tool on their web did the rest. I placed the order, arranged payment by credit card and was given a delivery date. The system arrived on time and as specified. It's a pleasure to deal with a company that keeps it's promises.

A couple of other points:

1. I considered doing the build myself, but the price for the assembled system and tested system was about the the same as my component costs would have been.

2. I was impressed by the quality of the build. I ordered a system without an OS. As part of the build, they did a very compact and clean temporary OS install to check the hardware. This allowed me to verify hardware function before easily reconfiguring for my own needs.

In my experience, it is rare to find a company that delivers what they promise without drama. I will use AVADirect again for my next build."

"Five stars, but not without minor issues, all which were fixed. I purchased a new custom desktop computer. Excellent selection and advice for building your own computer. Almost too much to choose from, but the staff provided great help in areas I didn't know enough about to make an educated choice on my own. I am very happy with the final choices I made.

Note that when they build to order, it'll take one to two weeks before they ship it.

I thought about buying the parts seperately and building it myself (which I've done for my past few desktops), but I wasn't going to save much money, would have to spend the time building it (which I have less of now a days), and not have any of the support and warantee AVA Direct gives.

I encountered minor three hiccups:
1) They did not receive my fax approving my credit card charge, so I had to resend it a few days later. Not sure what happened there, as the fax records show it went through and was received fine to the same phone number.
2) Was charged an extra $10 for an item they added and then removed. It was a bracket they added after I ordered because they thought I needed it, but I pointed out I already ordered a bracket as part of the SSD (solid state drive) kit, so it was quickly removed.
3) When I finally recieved the computer, it did not include that same bracket (we both were wrong and I didn't need it). The SSD with bracket (which I paid for) cost five cents under $5 more than the SSD without the bracket (which I ended up with).

Customer support was very responsive. For the first two, taken care of within a few days after ordering, they offered a couple free games. Then when I noticed the last issue when I got my computer weeks later, they refunded $20, which is more than the ~$15 costs of the two brackets (and less than 1% of my total order). It took a while emailing back and forth, but much better support than other locations I've ordered from in the past. I received the total refund and the two games."

"I was looking around at a few different sites for a new custom built computer and most of them I heard bad things about. I found AVADirect and liked what I saw on the website. I had a lot of choices to pick and I'm not even talking about when I pick my parts. Even before that they have a big selection of computers to start with. "In September of 2008 I received the gaming computer I'm using right now from AVA Direct. It still runs perfect even though some of the games that have been recently released are a bit much for the rig, mainly a hardware upgrade issue but nothing to do with the quality of construction. This system has been nothing but stable and only recently have I had any issues with any games, one being SW:TOR but that game is badly optimized so I run on low settings and it's fine.

The customer service before and after my purchase was excellent, example: I had ordered black tubing upgrade for the wiring in my rig, when I received my computer I noticed there was only the webbed see-through tubing which is not what I had ordered. I called AVA and a rep looked up my system (I think they kept a photo of my completed system on file) and confirmed I had ordered the upgraded tubing but I did not have them installed. I got a refund for the difference of what I had paid for the tubing with zero hassle. This guy did not even hesitate to help me out. That's the way it's supposed to be.

Now nearly 4 years later, I'm ready to upgrade my system and I will be coming back to AVA without a second thought. I've not even had to reinstall my OS or format my HD...not once in 4 years nor have I even moved it, it's sitting right where I put it in 2008. I've built my own computers and I've purchased rigs from the likes of Alienware and Falcon Northwest but for my money, it's AVA Direct from now on.

GREAT QUALITY AND PRICES/TAKES FOOOOOREEEEEVER Okay so I been helping my mom buy our new family PC for about the last month I have been researching it going from company to company checking things out talking to the reps and checking prices.And I gotta tell you AVADirect is the way to go!A lot of the other companies that where more expensive even seemed annoyed to answer my questions and took forever to do so when they did finally answer them sometimes I was just ignored. Now I know the people that are building these PC's are pro at everything with computers so my newb questions can get annoying or sound stupid to them but they arent stupid to me and AVADirect never made me feel that way :) they answered everything and quickly they helped me make right build for me rather than just try to upsell me to more expensive stuff. I was responded to right away and am still in contact with them as my order is still being processed. Since a computer is a such a big purchase I am very glad I chose this company and cant wait until my order is finished processing and my computer arrives... I will update this when it does but from what my experience is so far I am fairly certain it will be just more good. :)



Okay so it took forever... but they did help with all my issues and get them all resolved i thought they had sent me wrong graphics card because they sent me the oem version which has diff product# then other ones so when i went to find another to run in sli i coulnt find one and was like wtf.. but after some research they assured me i can run any evga gtx 680 superclocked in sli with this the last 2 digits dont matter -br or -kr so im happy ... great computer i LOVE IT took forever tho a month to get the pc few days over actually but great pricing and great customer service... so id say it a great buy so far

"This was the second game computer I have purchased from AVA. Both computers are very fast and stuffed with several gigs of memory. I use them as office computers and they run 24/7 all year long. I like to pick the components that go into my computers and have them configure and test them out before I get them. I am a very satisfied customer.

I though that I had an issue with not receiving part of my order however it turned out that the put my extra components in the Motherboard box and I missed looking in side that little box. Customer support pointed me in the right direction.
