"Well built computer for a great price. Second computer I have bought from AVA. Got almost 4.5 years from first one. This computer was packed super nice and started right up out of the box. Would order another one again. Can barely buy the parts and assemble for what they charge for doing all the work."
"Every facet of the process was handled extremely well. I was amazed at the many and varied options available to me for build options and at very good prices. I was even more pleased with the level of customer support after the order had been placed. Joe Mundy was extremely helpful and efficient with taking care of any issues that arose and making sure my computer turned out perfectly. I sincerely thank him. I will also reccomend AVAdirect to any of my friends and family. Thank you for a job well done and done faster than I thought."
"Great Company to work with. Gave me advice about my build before I had even placed an order through their forums, and then took care of things when their website mysteriously canceled my first order. Great experience overall!"
"We were excited to find a well-reviewed company where we could build a computer with only the components we wanted for a reasonable cost. We had become frustrated with several computer companies because of having to include features we did not want just to get some we did, which added to the cost. With AVA we were able to pick exactly the components we wanted, and the customer service rep was very helpful in guiding us when we had questions. The only hiccup was that one part they received was defective, so they had to order another, which delayed shipping. They did not let us know about this delay until we inquired about the order status after 10 business days had passed and we had not heard anything. We would have preferred for them to be proactive and let us know about the delay. This was only a minor issue, however, and we certainly appreciate that they found the defective part before the computer was shipped. So far, we are extremely pleased with our new system!"
" I am very new to the custom computer world, and this was my first time ordering a PC. After spending several weeks researching several companies, including; (Digital Storm, AVA Direct, CyberPowerPC, and others), I finally narrowed my choice down to AVA and Digital Storm...based on mostly on consumer reviews and ratings, and prices for systems. I decided to order from AVA Direct and not Digital Storm, based mainly on price.
The price difference was only around 2 to 3 hundred dollars, but being a full time student, with a wife and two dogs to feed:) that extra money was definately needed.
The overall service I recieved from AVA was generally very good and helpful, and I will most likely reccomend them to others, but there are a couple of (MINOR) problems I would like to see fixed...(and again, I stress MINOR! PROBLEMS)...just annoying at best.
The first minor problem I had was when I was talking to their staff about different options I could get with my system. They were a little on the annoyed side with me, most likely because I asked a lot of "newbie" questions in their eyes, which I could understand when having to deal with "newbies" all day long:)...But regardless, a little more niceness and understanding would have been appreciated. This in my opinion, was something Digital Storm had the upper hand on...better general attitude with customers and their questions.
My second, and other issues, came after receiving the unit. The unit was delivered to my wifes work, and she told me the FedEx guy was literally flipping the box over on end to get it to her front door! Nothing was damaged at all, but what surprised me was that the word "FRAGILE" was not written anywhere on the box? After talking to a customer service rep about this, he gave me a good answer...basically saying that there is nothing they can do to change the way companies deliver, which is why they package it so good. Which makes perfect sense to me, and in fact they did an excellent job packaging it!
Also, I was dissapointed that when I put a Blu Ray in my system to watch it...it didnt work, even after trying to research the problem and fix it myself. After talking to "Vedran" with Tech support...(WHO DESERVES A RAISE FOR EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE...if any of his bosses are reading this!:))...He said that I should have received an install CD for the device that would fix the problem. He said they do not install it themselves b/c they do not warranty the device, which made sense to me. Unfortunately, I can not find the install CD anywhere, and I consider myself to be a very organized person. So I am waiting on a response to the problem sent by me today, to see if I can get one sent to me to fix the issue.
Finally the last minor issue I have encountered with AVA is getting in touch with TECH SUPPORT. On numerous occasions I have called and been put on hold, ranging anywhere from 3 to 10 minutes at times, only to hang up from frustration after not being able to get someone on the line. I would also talk to CUSTOMER SUPPORT and they would tell me someone would call me back after a short time, (usually they would say 15 minutes or so), but the two times I specifically remember them telling me they would...after 2 or 3 hours...I would have to call back to see what happened and to let them know im still "waiting" on the call back. I did read about this being an issue with the company before, but I decided to roll the dice and take my chances.
In closing, I do want to say that when I finally do get in touch with a Tech Support Rep...mainly Vedran, the customer support service and explanations I recieve from him far exceed my expectations, and I again want to commend Mr. Ikonic (Vedran), for being so well informed about the inner workings of the products he sells, as well as detailed information on superb trouble shooting issues I have had! If you do not get that raise or promotion your deserve, I hope my gratitude and appreciation will suffice.
The last overall impression I want to tell people about AVA is this: From what I understand and feel, they are a very small company doing a very big job, and they are doing an overall very good job. If you can get past waiting a bit to get in touch with a service representative, then I feel you will have an overall very pleasant experience "playing with your new toy" as much as I have."
"Joe is the man. He walks you through your choices and quickly responds to any question. The build itself was priced very competively with almost every option available. I highly recommend them and will most certainly buy from them again."
"I have recommended you to several already. Thank you for how you handled the experience. BBB mattered to me. The email dialog, the easy access by phone the email updates. I paid about $500 more than I wanted, but I am betting on quality now based on the great service. I'd suggest that in custom build comments would help - being able to talk about specs there you'd like. Also, the path to custom build was a bit tricky as I had to find the i2700"
"At ACube Systems we want to deliver the best products to our customers so working with AVAdirect was natural as their support was perfect."
"What can I say? I'm happy. Good computer, good service. Very nice people."
"I was extremely pleased with the customer service that I received when I custom ordered my computer from AVAdirect. Joe had great technical knowledge and good recommendations regarding the final build for my system. His input was very welcomed. A protective foam layer kept the inside of my desktop snug so that parts didn't move around which was nice to know since I had a liquid cooler installed in the system. I plan to purchase all my laptops and computers from AVAdirect from now on. Thank you AVAdirect staff and employees on making an awesome system!"
"This is my second custom PC bought from AVA Direct and I can safely say that I will be coming back when it's time for a new system. From initially building the PC I wanted, through the order processing and delivery, everything is first rate. Without a doubt though, I think the thing that sets AVA Direct well above others is their customer service. Always easy to get through to, quick with answers and help and very accomondating to the customer. Anyone looking to put together a custom system should check out AVA Direct."
"I'm really pleased with my new Silent Gaming Machine. It IS very quiet, especially compared to my trusty old Alienware PC. It took a couple weeks to be built, in part due to a defective video card, but works great upon arrival. It was packed very well and opening the case to remove some packing materials it was hard not to be impressed. I did my due dilligence and based upon professional and buyer reviews, I really didn't see how I could go wrong."
"excellent computer. runs fast, cool and quiet
Joe great in sales -- solid knowledge and efficient
so far, great..."
"Great Custom PC Builder. Nice compromise between selection and price. I ordered a small Windows Home Server. I was notified that motherboard that I selected was out of stock (actually not available anywhere - I checked) so adviser helped me select an alternate. Small quiet, efficient, and so far reliable. Delivered just as I ordered and expected. Will definitely look here first next time I'm in the market for a new PC."
"AVADirect Custom Computers is the best place to buy a custom build. This company responds to questions you have very quickly, and thier staff truely wants to make you the computer of your dreams ON YOUR BUDGET. I can not thank AVA enough."
"I am extremely plesed with the PC, website, and service. I would have preferred it if there was a way to store a configuration for a period of time on the AVA Direct website. As it was, I needed to build the configuration from the ground up several times over a period of a week or so before I was satisfied with it. I always had trouble remembering which system to start with that had a specific video card available (Quadro 4000) so that I could do high end CAD and BIM. My second suggestion for improvement would be to notify me immediately that there would be a problem with the configuration instead of waiting until it is being assembled. In my case I wanted to have two SSD drives in RAID 1. AVA Direct was unable to to do this because of error messages, but they stated that this had been a problem in the past. If I had quicker feedback on the configuration that I submitted, I would have had more time to come up with my ideal, possibly different configuration."
