"A long time computer user but first time builder, I recently decided that building a PC would be cheaper than buying one. After deciding upon my needs and the suitable components I set about finding the best prices. I used pricewatch to do so, and it turned out that AccuPC came up on that list for the majority of my parts.

After all was said and done I ordered parts from 5 different online vendors - Newegg, AccuPC, USDepot, Allstarshop, and XtremeGear.

I have to say that I found AccuPC on a par with the much touted Newegg, the others just falling behind, and USdepot being the worst of the five.

I haven't had to make any returns yet, so can't comment on that aspect of their service, but they were friendly and helpful the whole way along and in tracking my packages.

I would certainly have no problems ordering from them again, and in fact, if I need to, they will be on the top of my list. Buying and putting together my own PC has been a challenge and a little stressful at times - not least some potential RAM incompatability issues I may have to face. If these turn out to be a real issue, I'm at least taking consolation in that I bought the RAM from AccuPC and if I have to change it, I trust they'll make it as painless as possible.

"AccuPC will not ship to any address not on file with your credit card company. This means no shipping to friends, family, or alternate shipping addresses. In fact, AccuPC immediately cancels your order if your SHIPPING, not billing, address doesn't match what is on file with your credit card company. This is simply a major pain, since you go to all the trouble to order, only to get your order cancelled. My credit card company doesn't even allow you to register multiple addresses on your card, so their solution to add the address to your credit card is absurd. The main ecommerce websites all allow you to ship to multiple addresses, in fact they encourage it for gift giving, etc."
