"Tuesday, May 14th: I searched through some online stores for a good price on a new camera and stumbled across AJRICHIES. Their prices looked good. I placed an order for my Canon 5D Mark III, plus 2 memory cards and a warranty on Tuesday May 14th. I selected to have expedited shipping of 1-2 days because I had an event on Sunday May 19th that I needed to use the camera for. $2799 total. Directly after placing my order a status bar at the top of the webpage popped up alerting me that due to a holiday (none of which Im aware of in mid May) that AJRICHIES would be close on May 15th and May 16th, and that all orders would be processed on the next business day Friday May 17th. I was now worried because I needed the camera by May 19th which was a Sunday and mail does not come on Sundays. They also had a banner on the page stating that if you ordered 2 accessories then they would upgrade your shipping. I had ordered 2 memory cards. I tried to call directly after placing my order but the number stated that they were closed and to call back during normal business hours.
May 15th and 16th: The next two days they were closed.
May 17th: I called first thing on Friday morning and was put on hold for 15 minutes. Once finally able to talk to someone I asked them if it was possible for me to receive next day shipping since I paid for the 1-2 day shipping already but also ordered the 2 accessories and the site promised that it would upgrade your shipping. The gentleman then stated that he wouldnt be able to do that because they just opened this morning from the holiday and the order takes 24-48 hours to process, but that it would ship on Monday and take the 1-2 business days and be to my home by Wednesday May 22nd. He then told me that he would send me a tracking number. To my surprise I was now being charged $3404 instead of my original $2799, so I called back to ask why the changes. He expressed to me that I order a low speed memory card and with the full frame camera I need a high speed card. I went ahead and upgraded both memory cards. He also told me that their is a %6 on shipping because they are in New York. I thought it was strange but agreed to the tax fee and the upgrade of memory cards. I stayed calm and told myself that this was OK because ordering from Canon directly would be $3500 and Im now getting the camera, plus memory cards and a warranty for less than that. He told him that he would send me a new invoice with the totals. I thanked him and hung up. I never received any emails with tracking number or new invoice of charges.
Monday May 20th: I waited all day Monday May 20th for a tracking number to be sent to me. Nothing came.
Tuesday May 21st: I called Tuesday May 21st to check on things since I still hadnt gotten any emails. After being on hold for 10minutes someone picked up and then hung up without saying anything. I called back again and this time waited 20 minutes on hold. Finally someone picked up and I explained to them that I was calling to see if I could get a tracking number for my package and invoice. I provided my order number and the gentleman told me that the package was shipped yesterday (Monday May 20th) and would arrive to me by Friday May 24th. I immediately asked him why it suddenly is going to take 4-5 days to ship when I already paid for the 1-2 business day expedited shipping and had already spoken to someone on Friday regarding the shipping who had told me it would be at my home by Wednesday. As I was explaining that I called on Friday the man interrupts me and tell me theres nothing he can do. I asked him to allow me to finish talking and that it was rude for him to interrupt. I then began speaking again and with only 2 words in he interrupted me to defend and deny that I called on Friday. I also began to realize that the voices matched and that I was talking to the same person I spoke to on Friday. I mentioned that to the man and he immediately denied it. I told him that Im 100% positive I spoke to him on Friday. I asked him his name and he refused to tell me. He then called me a liar. I asked to speak with his supervisor and told him that hes not giving very good customer service if hes calling customers liars. He refused to let me speak to a supervisor. I then expressed to him again that all I want is my tracking number to track my package. He told me that he would email it to me right away. I asked him what day is the package going to come and he said Friday. I again told him that I paid for expedited and that I expect it to be here on Wednesday like I was promised. I expressed to him that I was going to come and write a bad review. He then became very apologetic and said that he would call the carrier (FedEx) directly and make sure that it gets changed to be here by Wednesday instead of Friday. He asked me if that would satisfy me and would I not write a review. I told him that if everything comes on Wednesday as promised and there are no defects or things missing then I would be satisfied. I then again asked for my tracking number and he said he would email it to me. An hour went by and still no email with tracking number. I wrote an email to ****@**** expressing that I am in search of my tracking number. 5 hours later I receive an email from AJRICHIES telling me that my package has now shipped, but there is no tracking number attached.
I am extremely irritated that I am getting the run around and also not receiving any information regarding my invoice or tracking number. I should have read all the reviews on here before placing my order. I am still hoping and praying that my camera comes in one piece and not defective so that I can enjoy and not have to go through the process of returning it and getting a refund, which I know will be another headache. I will update this in a few days on wether I have received anything.
UPDATE: Received a tracking number this morning, May 22nd. Went to FedEx website to track package. Information shows that package was sent at 9:14pm on Tuesday May 21st from Brooklyn, NY. So that means that it wasn't sent on Monday May 20th like promised, and was only shipped AFTER I made my phone calls to verify that I would receive it by Wednesday May 22nd. "

"Placed an order for Nikon D600, the price was very good, I did receive a call second day confirming the order and try to sell me extras, I politely decline as I have all the SD cards and battery stuff, Scott then said OK, and that your order will be shipped to you.
5/17 checked online, showing the order was processed, called 3 times with long holdings, finally one sales person told me that your order is not in stock, and try to hand up, I insisted on possible future available date, he said a week later and hang up on me.
So I will wait a week and see what happens, so far, it does not sound encouraging. I will come back to update the review.
5/20 Called and talked to Gary who promised me that due to the delay, they will send in my order with 32gb SD card and a battery and will try to get it over to me before my trip on 6/6, will update on results.
5/24 Called 5 times and each times was transferred to a voicemail or was told the products not available, then being hanged up.
5/28 Called whole morning trying to get to talk someone, each time was rudely transferred to a non service extention, and was disconnected right after the transfer, so it was ordered 16 days ago, since I did not buy any accessories, they just totally ignored my order and give me the run around, today, finally I sent an email to cancel my order as well leaving a message to request the cancellation."

"Order of Nikon D7100 placed on May 7 2013. Could not finalize order on website?? had to phone them on the number that was on the site. Usual try to sell me some extras. Only accepted insurance since website quoted 2 years extra when you ordered 5 years. Sales rep Micky then quoted total price about 120 usd higher than expected. Told him to look at his own site and he corrected it. He offered free shipping with FedEx ground since I bought by phone. Told me ordering via web ships with USPS. Would take 5 days. Called him on May 9 to ask for tracking number. It was not processed yet , that would take 24 to 48 hours.. Told him I would possibly not be able to receive after May 17. Micky said it would be there in time. Checked with VISA and the payment for the camera was "pending"
May 10: called customer service. Asked for tracking number. Not there, but they said it did ship today. Checked VISA and could see that the money was now taken out of my account.
May 13: checked with FedEx ( we have an account there ourselves ) they had nothing from AJ Richies for our address in the pipeline. Sent email to Richies. Answer " it will take 10 to 12 days from when the order was processed to when it arrives. You asked for this form of shipping" emailed back that I did not ask, but was offered. Received new email telling me to call Customer service. Did this and was told it would arrive on Wednesday May 15, but they did not have the tracking number??? when on Wednesday FedEx came and the camera was not there I tried to call Customer Service again. The email said that Customer Service was open from 9 am to 7 pm EST. called at 4.47 EST and got tape that asked me to call back during business hours.
Up till now a very disappointing experience. I will continue this story when
there are new developments ( or no developments )

May 16 2013. At 10.55 AM EST I emailed and asked more info since it did not arrive yesterday. Offered them a way out with cancellation if they did not have the camera in stock or were having other problems. Warned them again that as of tomorrow there will not always be someone around who can receive package. At 5.14 PM EST still no answer on email.
I will leave for a business trip tomorrow, but I will check my email and keep this site up to date.

May 17 2013.11.40 AM EST Still no reaction on my email to AJRichies. But two things are happenning. A. They claim that they did not do business with me. So I just faxed the creditcard info to Resellers as proof. B. although AJRichies has still not provided a tracking number, I found out through FedEx that a package from Brooklyn will arrive here today. It seems that at AJRichies one person has no clue about what another person is doing.
May 18 2013. Arriving in Netherlands I got the message that the camera arrived yesterday. Also an email from AJ Richies. someone named Raymond, telling me they were sorry to hear I was disappointed and asking me to call. Sent email back explaining that I was abroad and would check the camera once I was back home.
June 3 2013 back home and check of package. The camera appears to be new. The box is from a package deal with an 18 - 55 zoom lens. The lens has been removed ( fair, since I did not buy that ) but the manual has also been removed and the warranty is for camera's up to 1000 usd. That is not enough.
Sent email to Raymond asking him to correct this. Since I leave again for Europe in 4 days I asked him to react in 3 days.
July 3 2013 back home and no reaction at all from Raymond or anyone else at AJ Richies. Today I bought a manual that I can read on my IPad with a kindle app. As far as I am concerned AJ Richies can drop dead. I am also going to place the story on my FB page and ask my friends to share.
