"Bait and switch personified. I ordered, on line, a Panasonic fz200. When I called about it, I was told that I had ordered a "wholesale" pack, not "retail" and that it had only a sample battery that lasted about 1/2 hour. I'd need to also buy a battery or pay $80 more for the "retail" pack.

I ordered a new nikon d5100 with manufactures warranty for my wife for Christmas.
First Lie: On the advertisement they claim the camera comes with a 1 year manufacturer warranty. NONE of their Nikon products have Nikon manufacturer warranties because they are NOT AN AUTHORIZED DEALER THEREFORE NIKON WILL NOT HONOR THE WARRANTY! Nikon only warranties products sold by authorized dealers. That is straight from Nikon and we have it in writing as well as pictures of the 3 separate times on their site that they claim their customers get that warranty.
Second Lie: This was not a new camera, according to Nikon the marks (dots) next to the serial number indicate it is a remanufactured item, though not by Nikon because they checked their records for us. That got us curious so we snapped a picture with our "new" camera and checked the shutter count, it came back as "225 count". We have pictures and documentation of the shutter count, the serial number plate and the Web site where it says "condition: new".
Third Lie: We purchased an accidental warranty claiming it covers drops, spills etc. checked with Nikon and they will not honor this either. Go figure. We have documentation on this too.
Fourth Lie: One of the other reasons they claim on their site that you should buy from them is the "30 day easy returns" Our receipt came in the box saying we had 7 days. This is documented as well.
This has also been the most drawn out and difficult return I have EVER experienced!
If the lies weren't bad enough we are now dealing with their customer service department. What a nightmare! We contacted AjRichies and after 5 attemps finally got through long enough to demand a complete return. The rep stated that there would be a re-stocking fee of 15% (on a $550.00 order that was not what I had purchased) I stated that would only apply if I simply did not want the item but this was not what I had ordered as it was a remanufactured /used camera with no valid warranty. the rep stated they do not sell used cameras. They also would not give a return authorization number or return address.
We have made over 25 repeated attempts to contact in order to resolve. My wife managed to get through one time only to be told that the entire customer service dept. had been involved in a bus wreck and would not be in "call back monday" Our calls have been directed to voice mail ever since. We have also sent an email informing them of my intent to return this item with a brief description of the actions I would take if they did not repond with a written statement including return authorization # and shipping address. NO RESPONSE.
Update:
The manager of card services contacted ajriches directly and reported back to me that they received the same run around with customer service that we had as well, mfg transferred several times placed on hold several times until she finally called back several times and contacted a customer service rep. Once she got through she demanded a return authorization #as well as a valid address to return the item to. they finally complied with her demands. I immediately took the item to a UPS store and documented the entire shopping process with notes and photographs. I then proceeded to post the first copy of this review on which it was flagged and removed within an hour of being posted as well as a rep from aj riches
Called and asked what it would take to resolve this issue...funny how that happened almost immediately after posting a review and the card services rep jumped down their throat but yet for several days prior they blocked our calls. Ajrichies has yet to refund our money a week later and if you read the reviews that have been popping up since this was posted I believe they are stacking their reviews in order to get a better reading. Be warned....These people are nothing but crooks and I will not stand idly by and allow them to continue conning people out of their money. I am and will continue to actively pursue criminal charges against this company and its owners.
Resolve
1. Filed debit card dispute.(IN PROGRESS)
2. Contacted Nikon Legal in regards to fraud and the unauthorized use of their registered trademark and illegal reproduction of Nikon Warranties.
3. Contacted the USPS mail fraud div. reported several counts of mail fraud. (under investigation)
4. Contacted FBI and filed a report for consumer and internet fraud. false advertising. etc
5. spoke with my attorney in regards to filing suit as well as possible class action criminal charges.
6. Currently working with IRS in regards to possible tax related charges."
"Very disappointing service!!! Website says "Fast Shipping". I ordered my camera online, and was contacted 3 days later to confirm the order, but really to try to sell me all kinds of accessories and add-ons. Every time I said I wasn't interested they brought up another product to sell me going as far as telling me this camera took a VERY special memory card, that I could only get through certain places like them, which it doesn't!!! Finally they stopped and told me my order would ship shortly. Almost two weeks later I called to check on my order and was told it had shipped a week ago, but they didn't have a tracking number because not all orders they ship have tracking numbers, but it was shipped UPS. (Which should have had a tracking number). I called again the next day and was told a different story, but still no tracking info, then finally on the 16th day I received a shipping notice and tracking number. Since the phone calls, I also sent 2 emails to customer service that have yet to be answered. I ordered this camera for a Christmas present 2 weeks before Christmas and was told it would arrive well before Christmas. When I called to get a tracking number the gentleman told me they never said that, and it would arrive before New Years… It finally arrived on the 7th of January, a week after New Years and 2 weeks after Christmas. This company has no customer service quality, lies, and extremely slow shipping. 5 days short of a month to get my "Instock" camera. Never again, don't let the prices fool you!!!"

Awful Experience from Start to Finish
- Sent order confirmation and then never shipped product
- Calling Customer Service lands you in voicemail almost every time
- When you do speak to a representative, they are short with you and rude
- You have to speak to a sales rep on the phone before your order is placed, and then the sales rep tries very hard to upsell you more product
I have ordered many things from other online retailers and have always had good experiences. This retailer is not about the customer at all.
