"Purchased a Casio camera and paid for the item as requested with the understanding that the item was in stock. I couple of days later, I received an email asking me to confirm my payment information. After 4 calls, I was finally able to get someone on the phone. They began to tell me that the battery that comes from Casio only lasts 20 minutes and that I needed to get a more durable battery from them. They immediately tried to sell me additional batteries and memory cards that were "mystery" brands at retail prices. I quickly declined and asked for just the camera, etc. as it comes from the manufacturer to be shipped to me. I just received "another" email telling me that the order will be shipped in 14-21 days when they receive the camera (remember that they said it was in stock...) The email also says that I can cancel my order if the wait time was too long. It seems to me that this company advertises really low prices and then once you decline any other items that they try to sell you, they try to get out of selling you the item you ordered by trying to make the wait time unusually long. Seem like the real reason is that they don't want to waste time on an order when there is no big profit in it for them. I plan on calling them tomorrow to see what is going on. Every customer is not "yutzi". Shame on these guys!!"

"This was my first purchase with Ajrichies.com. I love the prices. Most of their prices you can't find anywhere but some things like lenses and flashes you can find cheaper elsewhere. So not too shabby. My only problem was I was told over the phone by on of their sales people that my product would ship on the day I could the very next day i got an email saying my product would not be ready for a potential 14 days. That inconsistency in info is frustrating. All in all I am very satisfied."

"Received the "billing information/upsell" call. Stated that we didn't need any accessories and then received the e-mail stating our product was on backorder. We were disappointed, but decided we would wait the 14 to 21 days stated to receive the camera. However, I then googled AJ Richies and read numerous accounts of this same thing happening. Also read that while shipping is free, customers were charged (without their knowledge) anywhere from $20 to $200 for handling and insurance. Ended up cancelling the order because I don't think they ever intended to ship the camera for the low "bait" price.
Additional info: Order placed 11/19, upsell call 11/21, item backordered email 11/21. I contacted them via email with my concerns on 11/30, they again send me backordered email as reply on 12/2, I cancelled order on 12/4, posted this review 12/7, receive form letter looking email from Adam 12/7 my camera is *magically* in stock and he can ship it right away. This is too late as I have already ordered from another company and the camera is on it's way. Before cancelling order I had also tried to email customer service as opposed to sales, but it was returned as undeliverable.

"I was VERY pleased with follow up by customer service. Not only did they give viable reasons for staying away from cheaper aftermarket products (batteries), They offered a better deal than they had listed on their site. I appreciate good info. and a good deal. I got both from Ajrichies.

"So I was definately leary to say the least of what to expect from Ajrichies. In fact, I was downright scared for awhile to make my camera purchase after reading so many other reviews of this company. However, I made sure that I was educated on the exact product I was receiving through the company by pouring through a ton of other reviews and I am GLAD I DID!! Before I tell you the short ins and outs let me first say that I purchased the Rebel T3i camera kit with lens through Ajrichies and SO HAPPY I took the plunge!

Here's what I did and what you might expect as well:

1. The Rebel T31 that Ajrichies offers on their site (as I am sure most of their products are) are grey market products. Meaning they are meant for consumers overseas and do not come with a US manufacturer warranty. Instead, they come with a 1 year warranty from Ajrichies themselves. However, after reading MANY reviews I knew that by talking to a rep I could get the US version of the camera WITH a manufacturer's warranty for $100 extra. And even with the extra $100 I was still getting a pretty awesome deal.

2. Many consumers stated they were contacted by a rep following confirmation of their purchase who tried to upsell them on the US version of the camera and other various accessories. I got the jump on the company and called them first so that I could verify that this product was in fact a grey market camera. Indeed it was and I was then told that for $100 I could get the US version. No surprise there! The sales rep I spoke with did certainly try to sell me on other products such as another battery and an SD card. But quite frankly, any other company you speak with will do the same thing. It's just good business to try to make that extra sale. He wasn't pushy in the least by the way...but I am sure that will vary depending on who you talk to. Just stick to your guns and learn how to say NO!

3. I have to be honest that I was pacing the floor and checking my UPS tracking number several times a day waiting for delivery. I am completely happy to say that I ordered my camera on 11/25/2011 and it arrived yesterday on 12/6/2011. A day early even! While I haven't had much of a chance to play with the camera as of yet I can honestly say that I am completely happy with my purchase.

To recap...educate yourself on the product you are getting. It doesnt state on their site that it's a grey market product so you need to do the footwork yourself! Once you do this...decide if it will be worth it for you to pay the extra cash to get the US version. I'm happy I did and I will certainly be looking to purchase more products through Ajrichies in the future.

"First, know that a person will call you to try and get you to spend more on your order. My big problem with the company is their shipping policies and their RUDE customer service people. They offered me "expedited" shipping, but never defined that term. Shipping terminology is NOT explained on their website, nor did the person that called me explain what "expedited" meant. It turned out to mean UPS Ground! They use their own arbitrary terms. Everybody understands UPS GROUND. Nobody understands what you mean by "expedited shipping" when you are the only ones using that term and don't choose to explain yourself. When I called to complain, the customer service rep SCREAMED at me. I have been told he has been reprimanded. AJ Richie isn't any cheaper than the other guys. Buy your cameras somewhere else. These guys are totally unprofessional."

"Originally a had some issues with getting my order processed, it took a long time and it was very difficult to get a hold of the company (put on hold for long amounts of time and calls not being answered). Then a manager contacted me and we were able to get the camera shipped that very day - he was very helpful and worked with me on it. However, while talking to this manager I was told the shipping would be upgraded for free and my camera would arrive in 3 days. After making a special trip home to get it and it wasn't there, I looked online and saw it had been shipped UPS Ground and wouldn't arrive for another 4 days. I called the manager who had helped me and explained my problem. Instead of trying to help or apologize for the misunderstanding, he talked over me and told me I was wrong and he had not said it would be there in 3 days. Even if he hadn't said that (which he did), you don't tell your customer that they're a liar.

This company has great prices on their products - the lowest I could find anywhere on the internet for my Nikon D5100 (including shipping). They also all come with a cleaning supply, table tripod and one-year warranty.

Despite the great deal, I will never shop from here again because I was very offended.
