"I got the m17 The first alienware i bought and love it"

"I have been an avid gamer for some time. I have always liked the Alienware concept and found myself inexplicably drawn to anything that involve aliens, Elvis, or Las Vegas. In addition, Alienware computers are assembled here in South Florida.

My laptop was shipped prior to the estimated ship date and arrived in perfect condition. I purchased an Alienware M17 and am extremely pleased with the build quality, looks, and performance of this laptop. In addition, the packaging and accessories were all very nicely designed and constructed out of high quality materials.

This was one of the few laptops that I could find that actually had a Blu-Ray drive and I am very impressed with the quality of the playback.

In terms of game performance, the two ATI video cards, working in conjunction, crank out some pretty decent gaming performance, for a laptop anyway. I have found Crysis, Half-Life 2, and Left 4 Dead, all to be very playable.

The screen is 1920 x 1200 and sports Clearview Technology. The screen is very bright and lighting is consistent.

The laptop appears to be fairly easy to upgrade. All in all, I would say that Alienware has exceeded my expectations and built an excellent machine.

The only thing is that I wish I could have afforded that quad-core processor..."

"I got the M-17 and I am very pleased with the choice, it will play any game I put in it! Stalker- as fast as you want to play it it does it with out a single freeze. My desktop wont do that and it is just a solid peice of work yea its HUGE but I take it on a plane with me with no trouble,
its the best pc I have ever had and I have had a few, I will have to say I am very Glad I picked Alienware for my PC.

"I would like to say first and fore most the unprecedented craftsmanship and quality that goes into building one of these custom machines and the care and packaging it is delivered in. I was shocked to see how well everything was packed and supported from being damaged. But besides the packaging, the machine in itself is an amazing feat of technology. It run's amazingly and has made my PC experience unlike any other. The customizations you can choose with your machine is limitless, whether you want a casual PC or an extreme gaming rig, Alienware has what you want and they know how to build it and do it right! My only complaint is that I didn't order this PC sooner, it is everything I expected and so much more. Thank you Alienware for building me a custom machine that sets benchmarks other companies strive to even get close to.

"So far so good,nice package area51 m15x. Pros 1.Power setting for battery and cpu. 2. Dual graphic card-Intel/nvidia 3.Smart bay - DVD, blue ray drive, spare battery, hard drive. 4.Driver support on the web
Cons - 1.the price 2.media reader-limit to 2gig 3.volume control, not sure how it works. 4.command center software, I wanted more control for the lighting feature - what stay on or off.
Would i buy another alien in the future...yes
suggestion for the next are51 x15x
4 usb...reader card- compact sd mmc all high capacity...1 esata port...upgrade to 16 gig of ram...better video card - daul...better speakers with bass...9 and 12 cell battery...more extras stuff...thats it for now.

"If you are in the market for a desktop computer (never had one of their laptops, so I dunno), this is the only place to consider. Cutting edge hardware for less than it would cost to build your own comparable system, with none of the headaches. The website did a good job of keeping me up to date on the order status, I never lacked for information. The computer arrived in excellent condition ahead of the estimated arrival time. Fit & finish are top notch, everything is nice and neat inside the case. Customer service is excellent. Easy to select the desired hard/software & accessories on the website. "I purchased an Alienware Desktop for home use. I have to say the system work very well and does nto struggle at all with multiple applications running at the same time. I have not pushed it graphically yet... but i intend to! This system can handle it and i am quite pleased. The order arrived earlier than expected and i purchased a video card which may have delayed the delivery. It didn't!
