"I was nervous about the installation. I had never installed a split system before. It was easier than I feared. I spoke to a few people who had and was warned against it. Of course they all were A/C guys. It took me about 8 hours all together including running the electrical. I saved approximately 4k doing it myself. The only issues I had were some factory flare fittings that leaked. (Mine worked fine) Easy fix. Some of the installation instructions were vague or didn't match the unit I bought but was close enough to figure out. I did hire a local A/C guy to check my work and to pressure test, vacuum and the set up. It cost me $300 and was well worth it to give me peace of mind. The system works great. 110 outside and a cool 78 inside. We are very happy with our investment. Alpine was great to work with. I had one question during the install and a tech quickly answered it. The delivery was delayed due to a Holiday but not Alpines fault."
