"System was shipped and delivered very quickly. All components arrived in good condition and lift-gate delivery was very convenient. I had ordered a previous system form Alpine Air and had to return and re-order three times to get one that was undamaged during shipment.

Prior to purchase, I called to ask questions on system specifications which were unclear with the information supplied online, since various documents listed for the system did not agree with each other (minimum ampacity, maximum fuse/breaker, and maximum line length per zone). Got an answer with a short wait while phone tech checked with experts. However, the answer listed in the documents and the one supplied by phone did not agree with the specifications printed on the outdoor unit of the system, causing me to oversize the high voltage line out to the unit and almost exceed one lineset length.

Installation manual left a little to be desired in terms of how much additional refrigerant to add to the lines to each indoor unit. Manual specified total length of linesets that the unit's precharge will support, but did not specify individual line length of precharge per split. Installer had to guess how much additional refrigerant to add for each of the linesets, which were of different lengths.

System installation went well and all parts operated correctly. I am very pleased with the system to date. Alpine should pay more attention to the specifications listed in the online specs and supplied installation and owner's manuals to make sure they match the specifications listed on the system itself.

It's All about the experience

"Hi,
I had a fairly good experience with ordering the system. Choosing was easy, lots if information and tutorials. The problem is with the last part of the experience.
The shipping part is a problem. Your competitors have free shipping with lift gate. You guys offer free shipping, but then there's the fine print. The idea that a shipper will bring an item to your house, but can't take it off of the truck is frankly ridiculous. So, you guys will nickle and dime us to get extra money. That part was disappointing.
The good part is you guys have much more technical information than your competitors, that is what convinced me to purchase from you.

Excellent Customer Service!

"I had contacted several other online companies for my air handler needs. One talked to me for a few minutes, but got put on hold and never returned to the phone. Other couple only went to voicemail for a 'return call'. Alpine actually had a live voice who answered and handled things professionally. She took some information before transferring me to a different customer service agent who was familiar with the items I needed to purchase. When the agent got on the phone, he had what I had discussed with the first person in front of him. He answered all questions accurately and quickly. But the best part was, I was provided with a written quote emailed to me within minutes after hanging up with him. The agent even contacted, by phone, afterward to see if there was anything else he could answer. I did decide to purchase an air handler from them. Prices were very good, but even more importantly, the customer service was beyond what I would have expected. Thank you, Nate, for your service!!"
