"Pro’s Alpine was great, Blueridge mini split works great , heats a 1000 sq ft 16 ft ceiling garage with no trouble.
Con’s instructions were poor ( alpine tech was great) . 3 ton unit like mine requires a floor mounted indoor air handler. The semi hard copper 5/8 line requires a 90 degree sharp bend to hook up to air handler. Manufacturer needs to make a line set designed for this install that has 90 degree bends on one end of the line set. That would make for a much easier install. "
"Great people to help me and work with that's one reason i bought furnace from Alpine"
"Great company always delivers "
"Working with Alpine 5 years. 12+ units, various parts, 2) Warranty issues, 2) part upgrades, and technical info on line or phone they are always there. Every inneraction, I give 5 stars.
I have good local venders, but the expertise, service, and sales is great from the Alpine Team!"
"I retrofit my home built in 1973 in Milford, PA. It had been using oil as the primary heat source, although the reality was more of a mix of electric baseboard, wood burning stove and oil. As I've gotten older using wood to heat has become to much of a chore. The last few years have been primarily with oil and electric. For perspective, during the coldest months I was typically spending close to $300 for electricity, plus $300-$500 in oil For 2750 sq/ft home including a heated Garage. That was usually being conservative with temps and hours of use. Last year I switched over to the Blue Ridge Hyper Heat Air Source Mini Split Heat Pumps. One 36k BTU unit with 3 heads, and one 27k BTU unit with 2 heads. I also have another brand of 18k BTU heat pump in the garage, but I only started using that unit this so energy use does not include that space. My approach was to keep the house as comfortable as I wanted. Since I work from home that means I've been keeping all 2000 s/f of living space at around 70-73f, 24/7. So far the worst electric bill was $298, maybe $320 including the Garage. I also replaced my hot water heater to a heat pump type so there is that to consider as well, but all in all there has been a clear reduction in the cost of heating and air conditioning my home. My only negative finding, hense 4 stars, is that the units are terrible at temperature regulation. No matter what mode, the temperature swings are drastic. Quite different than the typical thermostat driven climate control system. That said I've followed some user suggestions. Never use the auto functions. Only set to heat or AC as needed. Also do not get hung up on the number. Adjust the temp as you feel fit. The electricity savings are not enough to skimp on a degree or two. Also, While I do have the Hyper Heat Models that are spec'd to -22F, they clearly start losing much of it's capacity when below 10F. The key is to simply turn the set point temp to the max 86F. Much like a old heater that simply has a low, med, and high setting. That seemed to be the trick of being able to maintain 70ish while it was a balmy -2 outside. Do they work? Yes. Do they save money? Yes. Is it really set it and forget it, for the most part until your really really cold. All other temperatures you really don't need to think about it. But if you know it is dipping below 10F later that night, go head and crank up the set upoint to max. You'll by nice and toasty then next morning. I did splurge on the wifi connectivity which makes adjustments a breeze. The NetPlus Home app also integrates with an automation app called IFTT. (If this then that) Basically it allow me to change temp setting based on the outside temperature. It will automatically make the adjustment to a higher set point if the temp gets too low outside. The home insulation and build quality is an important factor when choosing these. I may have gone with the Ultra Heat versions had I known or especially if my local temperatures get down to 0 more than a couple of times a season. The last big piece of the puzzle is reliability. Time will tell. So far after one year, they have been working without a fault. And I'm really happy to not be burning diesel fuel or even wood. For those of you that live in a state that allow you to shop for your energy supplier, I highly suggest doing so. At minimum be conscious of your supplier rate. That will have a big impact on your bill. Albeit electricity prices are way more stable than oil or propane. Ranging 10-20c/kwh."

"Alpine was great. fast shipping, great product. Had some issues with the wiring, but all is good. Purchased for our newly built studio and the heat works great. Looking forward to summer to test the A/C. I barley hear the unit fan at all. Very satisfied and will recommend to friends and family. "
"The customer service representatives at the chat were knowledgeable, courteous, and responsive to our questions when deciding the unit to get to ensure we got the product we needed"
"I placed my order and they then call to confirm. My order arrived earlier than expected. Even the delivery guy was really nice "
"Having worked in a customer service industry for 50 years, like many people I'm saddened by the lack of professionalism and curiosity that are displayed by many company representatives, these days.
Dealing with this company was a breath of fresh air, from start to finish.
The first representative I talked to, listened to my needs and communicated clearly and precisely what I needed. Not only that, he communicated to the sales team of my needs, and within minutes the phone rang to fulfill my order. From one phone call to 2 days shipping, I had my new wifi adapters in hand.
Now that's what I call FANTASTIC customer service. What a great place this must be to work at.
Thank you for your kindness and professionalism. You've got a customer for life.

"Ordered my unit on Friday and received it on Monday. Was impressed with the fast and free shipping. Unit was as described and was a breeze to install. Would recommend for any HVAC equipment you are having difficulty finding such as a PTac unit."
"We needed to replace a 20yr old furnace in my son's art gallery in a 100+yo building in Chicago. Gave the specs on the existing furnace to Alpine and they recommended a good replacement.
Furnace was shipped next day and arrived in 3 days -
Installed furnace with no issues - good quality unit, very clear instructions
Furnace fired right up and is quite quiet
"
"First TPAC unit shipped was damaged and not accepted for delivery. Called Apline and shipped new unit that day. Arrived two days later in perfect condition."
"I'm really bummed about this product. The thermostat doesn't read accurately the temp and the unit doesn't heat up to the set temp. I reached out to CS at Alpine. The rep said that the manufacturer was aware of the problem and that I should try a regular thermostat to fix the problem.
Alpine spends a ton of time telling there customers not to install these units with regular thermostats but then when a unit is not working properly it's there go to solution?"
"Good pricing and fast delivery...I would buy again from Alpine home air products...No issues with installation...very quiet furnace."
A rep from Alpine Home Air Products, Alpine-Home-Air-Products, has responded:
