--Quality of the case?
Very impressive! For a $25 case with free UPS, I got a much better case and bargain than I expected.
Fit and finish was very good! I was suprised by features like black button actuated doors to hide the beige drives.
Everything assembled perfectly! Even the hardware was good.
--Quality of the Power Supply?
Amazing! 2 fans! Quiet!
Good 3.3v, 5v, 12v amperage and voltage within spec.
Running a 1900XP processor, and the normal compliment of HDD, CDRW, FDD and cooling fans in WinXP. Is it a 500W PSU? Maybe not, but it seems like at least 380W -400W.
Cons- Minimal amount of connectors, and the drive plugs are only acceptable in quality.
Temper the comment in terms of price: $25 free UPS shipping. I did not have high expectations, and I wanted to avoid spending $37 for a case with $15 shipping. This is as good as what I expected I'd get for $50.
A great case for the money...and an excellent choice for building a bargain computer for a friend or family member.

Fast, good tracking. The extra box for $3.00 is advised. Received in 3 days and no damage despite the typical UPS brutality!
Packing and taping of boxes could be better...but it was a good as as packages from Staples. Could use some air bubbles as filler.

"The price I paid for what I bought was good, but the shipping was horrible. After I bought the items, I received an e-mail confirmation that I ordered the items. However, the e-mail did not give me a tracking number, so I could not track my shipment at UPS' website. After I e-mailed them and asked them to send me a tracking number, they e-mailed me back a day later and said that I should receive it soon. I received my tracking number almost two days after I ordered the items, and tried to track my shipment, but UPS said that the tracking number does not exist. Too tired to contact them again, I just waited for the shipment. Four days after I ordered the items, I tracked the shipment at UPS again, and this time it worked. However, the entire time, it just told me that it has been shipped, and it wasn't until I received the items that the tracking service was updated, and said I already signed for the items.
I should have taken this company's bad ratings on ResellerRatings.com as a warning. I probably will never buy anything from them again. Too much of a hassle, especially when I could get the items I bought from this company at newegg.com for just about two dollars more."
"Purchased an Inno3d GeForce4 ti4200 from them from a great price, good shipping, and received my product in under a week. Package came with full retail box, including CD, card, and DVI adapter.
The card itself worked great for a while, then started locking up in 3D games like CS, Splinter Cell, and others.
Tried Inno3D's tech support, and they worked with me to figure out the problem. In the end, they recommended returning it to the vendor for an RMA replacement card.
Got the RMA with minimal hassle, which was nice. I sent my card to them in early May 2003 - I still do not have a replacement for it as of August 18, 2003.
Not a bad place to order from, but you better hope your equipment doesn't go bad.

"I had two separate transactions which I've mixed up, so this comment applies to both of them. In one, I ordered Win XP Pro with the quick installation cd. Package arrived fairly quickly (within 3 or 4 days), but no Quick Install CD. A quick email to them about it generated no response, but lo and behold a couple days later the quick install cd shows up. I was very pleased about that, but rather annoyed I never got a status on it.
The second was a video card. Again, showed up fairly quickly. Only beef about this was the card itself wasn't really held down in its box, it was cushioned by the anti-static bag and the miscellaneous documentation in there, but that's not really adequate. But at least it worked fine when I plugged it in. Overall-a positive experience.
I didn't discover this site until after the order. Reading their reviews makes me think I was one of the luckier ones. I will also double check the working stats of my card to ensure it is in fact what I ordered instead of a cheap version. We will see...this post may get updated later."

Ordered a computer case from them the end of June and they shipped a substitution even I said "I would NOT accept a substitution" in my order.
Never notify me that my case is back order.
I even have to pay for the shipping to get the exchange. They said they will send me the return label but more than two weeks, nothing.
Now is Aug, I still have the wrong case.
It's true that they have great price.
But most of them time, you may not get what you want or order.
I know the shipping is free, but I should not have to pay for the shipping for their mistake.

"I'm very displeased with the customer service provided by Amamax. I would recommend that no one order products from them over the Internet.
I've not received my product that was ordered as "same day" nor has the tracking number they provided me with tracked any shipments. Repeately I've called their long distance phone number. The majority of the time I'll just get a message mail box for customer services. I've run the gambit cycling through sales, to customer service, to the operator. I reached a live person once who said she'd forward my call to Thomas because he was at his desk, but again my call was forwarded to a mailbox. No one is willing or able to talk with me at their company to get my issue resolved with my now two week late order. I left my contact information on a few messages and also E-mailed them for further inquiries. It’s been nearly two weeks of this type of communication. Unfortunately, I’ve been billed by them almost immediately but received no order and no further information about my order(except an initial automated E-mail). Hold on, I received one E-mail from tracking stating that my tracking numbers would be sent to me in the evening to verify the shipment but there was no follow through on this by Amamax. Initially, the tracking information they’ve provided in the first automated E-mail message to me could not be verified by UPS the alleged shipper. I've sent the required E-mail in to cancel my order but expect the same poor communication and service. I've since contacted my credit card company to file a formal dispute. No product, worse than poor service, but they'll take your money in a heart beat.
Thank goodness I'm canceling my order. I placed an order for the 5200fx card that PengDoRi ordered. Where a speedy card turned into a 64bit card with the speed of 6ns versus 4ns without a heatsink. The BBB looks out for false adversiting by the way. You can contact the BBB in Houston if you've been mislead by a falsly adverstised product. They'll do the work--you just need to let them know what's going on.
Say Amamax, why can you seem find the time to respond entries on this web site but neglect your customers? It doesn't seem like you've got any resources or time to spare with anything but your line of business.
08/05/2003 Update: After being displeased, I sent in a request to cancel my order using their procedures. However, they ignored it and now finally are shipping the product. I dread trying to send the product back just to get the same poor customer service. Imagine trying to use the product to find out it's defective and having to contact the company to replace it. Too bad I'm a senior I/T member at a major hospital who influences purchase decisions. Amamax will get the anti-recommendation. I highly recommend blacklisting Amamax. It's better to pay a higher price at a local retail chain than to purchase from Amamax. Trust me, you'll appreciate the customer service more--it counts for alot.

"My NVIDIA Ti4200 card died, and I attempted to replace it under Amamax's 1 year warranty. I opened up an RMA, and sent the card back to them. This was over two months ago. The post office confirmed that it was delivered. Since then, Amamax has not sent me a replacement, and has not returned my calls or emails!"
