"Purchased an Inception DVD. I was pretty frustrated after spending an hour or so trying to get it from Best Buy because they would not accept my $20 Discover Credit/Gift Card. I tried the purchase on Amazon.com and their system recognized the card immediately and finished the purpose in minutes. I was pleasantly surprised to get an email telling I had immediate access to the movie via their online video service. In addition they sent me a promotional code for a $5 to their online video store. I had to pay for shipping of the DVD but got a better value overall with the access to their on-demand video service. I also purchased a couple electronic parts and cable recently on Amazon. I paid around 5 bucks for each which is much cheaper than anything Best Buy can offer with their limited selection. Have never had any major problems with Amazon in the past and will continue to shop there in the future."

"This is my recent purchase experience with Amazon.com:

If you're a shopper like me, then you must realize Amazon been advertising and making claim that if you order on a specific dates, you should receive your stuff by December 24th. I placed my order on the 18th with Free Super Saver Shipping (one day before the deadline for Free Super Saver Shipping to receive on the 24th). But it turned out my order just sitting and "processing" for almost 2 days until it leave the fulfillment center. When I made a complain to the Amazon Customer service, they said I should be receiving my stuff AFTER CHRISTMAS! How outrageous is that? On top of that, since my stuff is already in the "processing" phase, I can't cancel it. Up till this point Dec 24th, still haven't got an update on the Amazon tracking.

On the contrary, my order on Black Friday was incredibly fast: placed it on Saturday and got it by the following Monday/Tuesday (also used Free Super Saver Shipping). It is questionable that Amazon actually cares about Black Friday than Christmas.

Here's a warning for fellow shoppers: unless they offer Free Overnight Shipping, AVOID ANY RETAILERS CLAIMS ABOUT DELIVERING YOUR STUFFS TO YOU BY CHRISTMAS.

"I have just had a typical experience with Amazon customer service. Contacted them by Email and got a response resolving an issue to my satisfaction within 15 minutes.

In the last year I've had over 70 orders with no problems and at prices that basically can't be matched by anyone else. They are by far the best online retailer I've ever dealt with and I shop online extensively.

Keep it up Amazon and you'll have a customer for life.

"I used to use multiple websites to shop for what I want, but my experiences with Amazon, Amazon Warehouse, and Amazon Customer service dept. has been so POSITIVE, that I now start every search at Amazon, and usually order from them. I probably order from Amazon 30-40 times a year, and my experience has always been good. When I have had a problem, their CS dept. has always made up for any disappointment I might have had initially. For instance, I ordered a typically $100 online item about 5 months ago that was listed in Amazon Warehouse (broken box item) for $80 (great price), but CS kept telling me that it was not yet in the warehouse. So I cancelled the order after 4 weeks. I couldn't find that price anywhere else, so I ordered the same item again, and the same thing happened. Frustrated, I called Amazon CS, told them the story. They appologized, and sent me the item new, in perfect condition for $60, and in only two days! Amazon is the benchmark in online customer service and satisfaction as far as I am concerned."

"I bought "Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 AT-X Pro DX Zoom Digital Lens + UV Filter + Cleaning Kit for Nikon D50, D70, D80, D90, D200, D300 & D300s Digital SLR Cameras" on December 16, 2010, around 9 pm from Amazon.com but sold by Cameta Camera. About 1 hour later, I clicked on order summary and it said the package was ready to ship and couldn't be canceled or changed. I was really happy and hope either Amazon or Cemeta would have shipped my order on the next day.

Unfortunately, the order from Amazon sold by Cameta didn't ship it on the day expected and I do need it before X'mas (12/24/10). Even worse, today (12/18/10) my order still hasn't been shipped yet!! I do wish Santa would give me a best gift before the X'mas is gone.

****Update****
My order was shipped on Dec 21, 2010, and will be delivered on Dec 28, 2010, based on UPS tracking information. Very dissapointed with process of shipping.

Nothing I can say but too long! For buyers, you need to have bunch of time if they said 3-5 days standard shipping or you might go for 1-3 days expedited shipping which is cost you double for fees.
