"I like the convenience of buying things online, but have had some bad experiences. No so with Amazon. Everything I order from them has been shipped quickly, prices are great, and I will check them out first for anything else I buy. I've never had to return anything, so I don't know how well they do with that."

"One of the problems of selling everything is that you generally have a store layout that's massively inferior to specialty shops. Walmart has that problem, Target does, and so does Amazon. Unless you know EXACTLY what you're looking for, trying to sift through Amazon's refining features is like shoving your hand into a dark pit full of cobras in search of a measly dropped penny.

That said, the prices are low enough, the number of items that qualify for free shipping is encouraging, and I've received everything I've ordered without too much hassle.

"Easy to deal with.Easy Site to navigate and l would buy from them again whether it is this one or the UK or Austrealian one.
Prompt details sent to you re item sent,tracking if applicable and they deliver fast.
You may a little bit more here than a cheap Chinese Site but at least you will get what you paid for or refund.

"I ordered two Textbooks and a lens cap from Amazon on December 13, 2010. All items came directly from Amazon, not via a third party/merchant store. They shipped via their free service (USPS), scheduled to arrive December 21, 2010. The package (via tracking) has been sitting in one place since December 16. I called on January 14, 2011, still waiting for my order.

The agent gladly sent a replacement via one day shipping, and refunded me for an item they did not have in stock.

This is how I love to be treated when things go wrong, which the usually do not. This is why I am a dedicated Amazon shopper.

I blame the bad shipping on the courier, not Amazon. They handled the situation beautifully.

"Cheapest price for item I purchased but shipping was slow. Bought an Ecofan as a gift. Got an email saying that the shipping time would be later then expected after the purchase. (at least they emailed.) Thankfully it arrived just in time. Still it was about 20% cheaper than any other seller so I am mostly satisfied."

"I'll keep this brief. If you every want to steal something, all you have to do is buy it from a seller who sells on amazon and then say the package came but the item was missing. Amazon always rules for the seller. They will simply refund your money and charge it back to the seller. Free Ipod! Free laptop! You name it--Free!

I used to be a big amazon shopper and seller. I reviewed products, I bought, I sold, I used amazon Japan and amazon UK. I bought groceries on the subscribe and save program. I spent usually more than $5000 a month on my amazon credit card. I bought kindle books. Amazon was my go to place for everything I bought....Until...

I sold my daughter's ipod on amazon and a new first time buyer said the package arrived empty, stole it, and told amazon she didn't get it. Amazon wouldn't look at our profiles. Me, a loyal amazon buyer and seller for a decade and her a new first time buyer. First time buyer because she probably kept stealing stuff and kept getting a new account.

They was no reasoning with amazon in any way. They think most sellers will just lose the money to keep the privilege of continuing to sell. I just sold some of my personal items---and I had 100% positive feedback---but no more amazon for me! This happened around August 2010 and I haven't bought anything from those aholes since.

I will tell everybody I know. I will blog it. I will post reviews like this on resellerratings. Amazon stole from me.

"I've been using Amazon for over 6 years now and have been extremely satisfied. Their delivery times have always been quick, I've never had an issue with getting wrong/damaged products, and their prices are typically some of the best around. My only gripe was one time when I needed to use customer service and it was clearly outsourced overseas to someone who spoke very little English.

If you do order a lot from them, I'd highly recommend Amazon Prime. Speeds up delivery for a flat yearly fee that isn't bad. It's allowed me to save on things like razors that I'd otherwise buy locally at a higher price.

"I'm not very happy with Amazon's recent change on their shipping policy. I live in Alaska and have been shopping at Amazon.com for years. I just found out that they no longer do AmazonPrime to Alaska and shipping for a $7 optical mouse is about $10. My last order was shipped to here for free (I placed the order a week ago). I am very disappointed and furious about the fact that they they changed the policy without any explanations. Amazon.com is located in Seattle, WA and flights to Anchorage only takes 3.5 hours (compare that to a 5.5-hour flight from New York to Seattle). They ship to New York free for qualifying orders, but charge outrageous rates to Alaska. I did not mind it when they did not want to ship heavy equipments up here, but applying harsh shipping rates to light products and media seem unfair. This is a clear discrimination and needs a further explanation. Alaska is a US state and not a territory. I hope they are aware of that. "

"I love buying products through Amazon.com because they offer exceptional prices, they're quick to place and ship my orders. Also, they offer price matching!! There are few instances where I run into problems with the vendors, but not necessarily Amazon. And contacting these vendors directly are quite frustrating but Amazon usually tries to accomodate its customers in any way possible which I really appreciate. "
