"The seller here acknowledged that the "brand new, never used" P90X dvds were packaged in a box that was full of lint. The dvds had scratches all over them & the seller enclosed a note saying the kenpo disk acts weird when starting but works. The 2 bonus dvds supposed to be included were missing. After I asked for even a partial refund, the seller replied twice accusing me of lying, being beligerent & unworthy company. After prodded to refund my money, she told me to send it back (menacing words included) and "then" she would determine how much if any refund I would get. I contacted Amazon because I did not feel it right for her to "determine" how much of "my" money she owed me after lying to me, harrassing me and then planning to give me a partial refund after I gave her the full return. Amazon stated that she had the right to charge me a "restocking fee" and all shipping both ways was my expense (even though the seller was fraudulent). When I contacted Amazon about the unfairness of this, they ignored me and denied my claim. BEWARE!"

"This review is specifically for Amazonwireless.com. This site is extremely unhelpful. We have made two separate orders for the Samsung Captivate, which they offer for $.01. Each time the order has been canceled due to some problem. The first problem was that AmazonWireless claimed AT&T would not port our old phone number. This was not true. We called AT&T and they said this would be no problem. However, because AmazonWireless automatically canceled our order we had to re-order the next day and due to 'high demand' the phone we wanted was now on backorder. The second order was automatically canceled due to a problem with driver's license information. Just canceled. No explanation beyond that. I will not be placing a 3rd order with AmazonWireless."

A couple things about amazon, they have 'prime' shipping, where you pay a nominal amount, say 80 dollars, to have all your shipments arrive in 2 days, and on the rare occasion you need overnight you pay only 3.99 per item for every item in your cart for overnight shipping (MAKE SURE YOU ONLY HAVE ONE ITEM IN YOUR CART OR THE $3.99 APPLIES TO EACH ITEM AND you can be in for a shipping surprise)

Amazon has 3 ways to order. The old cart system, which i like since I can review my order at many places, they have a "payphrase" like "my dog is hungry" combined with a 4 digit pin 1234 - that is sufficient to ship the order all by itself with your pregiven prefferneces as to shipping speed and address, or they have one-click shipping - you click on an item and it ships to you. I don't like that one because if you dont want the item you must cancel or return it, both of which are difficult at times.

Amazon's service is 24/7/365 and although outsrouced to who knows where it has improved recently. I use their service when a package is lost or damaged in transit, or the one time in all the stuff I've ordered when I bought a neck countour pillow and some 1000 thread per inch pillowcases. what I got was an air powered machinegun for plastic pellets and my pillowcases. I called them and they overnighted me my pillow. So service is pretty darn good. Order fullfilment needs some help because a bb machinegun and a foam pillow don't look alike.

Pricing:

Pricing changes less than hourly. Their pricing computer looks at how many orders are comming in for a product and attempts to maximize profits. A good way to find out how often it updates is pick 50 items you might buy - but add them to your wish list not your cart. Every time you enter you cart you will see the changes on you WISH LIST pricing like "Olympus fl50R has changed from 569.96 to 597.33 in your wish list" Sometimes prices can change while the item is in your cart, so if it is a hot item buy it right away, you can always cancel the order! You can also cancel the order if the price goes down

There is a grace period after ordering where cancellations are no questions asked, but after that you'll need their service on the phone to cancel the order if it hasnt shipped. If it has, just refuse the package from the carrier and you're set.

I've used amazon for 4 years now and generally been happy wit them. 95% of their goods come from china - some are good, some not so good - thats why they have reviews. I review things I buy so people can tell if the item is junk or good stuff at a good price. I recently bought a powered (electric) grease gun for 60 dollars from china - exceptional workmanship and design, 6500 psi lube pressure, flexible hose, coupling, 2 batteries, and charger. You could not get this in the usa and I only need it for 14 zerk fittings on my off road truck and on my gates around my home.
