"I have ordered from Amazon.com probably 15 times and I have never had a problem. My items have always arrived promptly and in excellent condition. I have had to go thru them twice about problems with 3rd vendors: once from a used book seller, and once from a merchant. Both times it was easy and amazon was prompt in their response. I love them!"

"I would have never throught it possble, but they tried to steal $16 from me. I placed an order for $30 (subtotal was $46, but I got $16 credit for slow/free shipping). Product was backordered, so they told me to wait. Few months later I check the status of my order and find out that I had "returned" the items and was issued a refund of $30 - $16 = $14. Only problem is that I never even got the item.
Basically, I pay them $30, they cancel my order without informing me and give me $14 back."
"I ordered an assortment of 6 schoolwork portfolio's priced at $.99 for my son. I recieved 1, and it was creased. I sent Amazon an email about it. They sent back a "form" email to me...

department in our company for consideration.". Basically i got the option of returning it, if "the item is of no use to me", as my only recourse in that email. Like im going to pack up something, find a way to print a shipping label (printer is broken), and then take to ups/post office, for a lousy 99 cents.

"Item did not ship on scheduled date, I upgraded to 2 day shipping, yet the item is estimated for arrival on Oct 31st, it was picked up on the 26th, hardly 2 day shipping. The customer service is definitly not located in the United States and appeared to lack the ability to address any form of problem other than apologizing for their delays.
Price wasn't good enough to justify the small amount of savings for state sales tax.
If you want an apology for having a very common item at MSRP several days/weeks late then by all means purchase from Amazon.com, however if you want something on time, buy it anywhere else."
