"I placed an order of Logitech MX Revolution mouse for $36.99 on 11/23/2007. I got an Amazon email on 11/30/2007, stating that there is a delay of shipping. However, another Amazon email received on 12/1/2007 notified me that the order is cancelled due to a pricing error. This is very strange because the price was only $3 less than that advertised by Amazon. I can accept the price increase by $3 instead of cancelling. Please note that other customers got cancellation email as early as 11/25/2007. You will ask why Amazon still sent me a shipping-delay email on 11/30/2007. I believe this is their trick of getting off the transaction contract. So this is a very bad business practice that Amazon uses its legal cover of so-called pricing error to get away from the transaction contract. People, do not buy anything from such a bad retailer."
"Absolutely Horrendous!
Ordered the following on Black Friday, after staying up till 3am waiting for their advertised sale. Item was in stock and ready for shipping long after I ordered. Waited a week only to get an email after my original delivery date, saying it will be delayed for a week. Only to get another email saying they will not be honoring their Black Friday advertised sale.
This is not what I expect from a reputable online company. I will never do business with Amazon again! Stay away!
Shipping estimate for these items: November 28, 2007

"Updated Dec 10: After several emails with Amazon CS representatives, I have got my orders shipped at original prices, plus a promo discount as compensation for the invalid rebates. Amazon's customer service is getting better now... I'm happy with it.
-------------------------------
Amazon is lying to their customers. They cancelled my Logitech MS mouse and Quickcam and told me (and hundreds of others) that they were pricemistaked. It's hard to believe because the items are Black Friday sales, and they were advertised on many websites. In addition, Amazon kept sending me email about order delay so it seemed that the items would be shipped. I missed many good deals on other sites because of this."
"Amazon has completely screwed another long time customer with shoddy business tactics and horrible customer service! During last months Black Friday advertised deals, they offered some Logitech computer peripherals at a discounted price. Yes, I'm talking about the Logitech MX Revolution Cordless Laser Mouse! It wasn't until about a week later that I was informed that they would not be able to ship me my item because of a supposed pricing error on their website... HOGWASH! Now I'm out of luck due to Amazon ignorance and incompetence. I've yet to receive any type of compensation for their inconsiderations!"
"I am changing my review because in my case Amazon has attempted to correct the issue and is making it right. There was a Black friday sales promotion at Amazon.com that was advertised all over the internet and even on the front page of Amazons website for several items. I attempted to buy The Logitech Quickcam Communicate Deluxe at the advertised $18.99 sale. I called the company several times and have emails from them to ask if I was satisfied with the answer to my questions and at the time as I was assured the sale price was correct. Then suddenly I received cancellation notices for my items and they are using the excuse this was a pricing error and they are covered with their pricing policy. After having spoke with customer service many times and writing them, they are fulfilling my original order at the advertised price. I always Loved amazon in the past and this had me feel strained. I feel better now though and feel someone at least in Customer Service Cares About its customers. "
"I am really dissatisfied with Amazon.com's consumer service regarding this order. I am certain that this product was not a price mistake because it was part of Amazon's Black Friday sale and that thousands of customers have ordered this product for the same price. I am aware of this fact because I have read hundreds of online bargain forums which stated this product was indeed selling at this price by Amazon.com and that the majority has already received their orders. I was really looking forward to receiving this order and after almost two weeks and three emails later I get a cancellation email!? I do not believe that Amazon.com is so incompetent that it took so long to caught this "price mistake." I have also ordered the Logitech VX laser mouse from Amazon during it's Cyber Monday sale for about the same price as this product and it has already shipped. I have been a loyal and frequent costumer at Amazon and have been very satisfied with all of my previous purchases, but now I will be hesitant to make future purchases because of this terrible experience. How can I trust a company that can backtrack their way out of things by simply sending "We regret to inform you that an error caused the following item(s) to
be displayed at an incorrect price:
Logitech MX Revolution Cordless Laser Mouse
In accordance with our posted policies on pricing, we are unable to
offer this item for the incorrectly posted price. Therefore, we have
cancelled your order for this item," when I know that this is not true. I am seriously considering reporting this awful experience to the Better Business Bureau because I am so displeased right now. I hope I am the only one that was so unlucky to have this happen to me because I know they will be extremely dissatisfied as well if this was the case.

"Very dissatisfied. Amazon canceled my Quickcam deluxe after saying that their promotional BF price was an error. After talking to the CSR, even the ESR, they refused to accept their mistakes. I have filed a complain with BBB. "
"I am VERY DISSATISFIED!
Both my orders has also been cancelled for the Logitech MX Mouse and Logitech Quickcam Communicate Deluxe webcam.
Just received the famous e-mails today. This is BS, yesterday I received an e-mail from Amazon.com to approve a later delivery time for my products which I did approve.
Amazon.com $@$@ us all. On BF I saw so many awesome Webcam and Mouse deals from other companies after ordering from Amazon.com.but I didnt get them, because I already ordered both the webcam and mouse already from Amazon.com and I was one of the first ones to order them.
Now my friend has a VX (which I gave him the link for) and now I dont have anything. The VX was super low priced too from Office Depot I believe it was or maybe Staples, anyways I wish I went for the VX instead of trusting in Amazon.com for my MX.

"My problem with Amazon.com is very similar to kwonster's. Amazon.com is very dishonest and has a very unfair business practice. People who paid extra for shipping got their orders at Amazon's "mistaken price." Others who chose free shipping did not get their orders but instead got a notice lying to them by claiming it was a "price error" a whole WEEK later. I'm quite surprised it took Amazon a week to realize a "price error" after shipping out a number of orders. "
"Amazon customer service reordered/credited account for price difference for a sale item that was canceled on this order. "
"Bought from Amazon several times and have always been pleased."
"WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD WITH AN E-MERCHANT !!!
On October 15th I ordered a CE Labs video distribution amplifier, which included free shipping. The Web page stated the shipper was Antonline.com and the product was NEW.
Received the order on Oct. 19th, but it was an obviously used, open-box item, sent from the Amazon merchandise returns department -- not a new one from Antonline, as the Web page still stated!
Emailed Amazon CS about this and they were very apologetic; they agreed to X-ship a NEW one right away and issued free return shipping for the used one.
Close to a week later what did I receive? ANOTHER USED ONE FROM THE AMAZON RETURNS CENTER !!! (No, this was not the one I was supposed to return. Still had it.)
Emailed Amazon CS AGAIN; got connected to a chain of out-sourced CS agents from India who were very confused and not very helpful. At one point they told me I couldn't request another RMA because I bought a bed frame set with the same order... where the H did THAT impression come from??? I had never ordered a bed frame.
At this point I had two used video amps and had been charged for one NEW one. Amazon refused to assist me further until I had returned both amps to them. They gave me a 30-day deadline from the first order to do so, or they'd charge my Visa the NEW price for the other USED amp.
Sent everything back. About two weeks later, I get an email from them acknowledging receipt of the first amp, but not the second one returned at the same time. They went on to write that since I still have the second one, they won't refund my $$$. I had enough at that point...
I contacted my bank to do a credit reversal and launch a formal investigation into Amazon's fraudulent advertising of this amp as being NEW and being shipped by Antonline. Later, on the same day Amazon sent me an email apologizing for this latest screw up and announced I'd be credited the original purchase price ASAP! (They also quickly removed the fraudulent evidence from their Web site -- even though I'd already saved the page for my records weeks ago.) I did eventually receive the credit I was due...
Beware of electronic items advertised as NEW with free shipping -- Amazon will probably send you someone else's RMA...
Will I ever again attempt to order ANYTHING from Amazon? I DON"T THINK SO !!!

"Amazon has the best customer service. They are very professional, and they do care about customers. Returns and refunds are very easy. Prices are right. This company is on the right track. They operate in a condition of abundance, meaning they give you little bit more then you’ve paid for. I recommend this store to everyone. "
"Why bother ordering from Amazon, newegg, frys, ebay, when you could go directly to your local shop and get the same item for not much more $?
I mean why bother with Amazon + 3rd party merchant + UPS?
I just went thru a real hassle with Amazon.com
about a DVD burner. I was charged, it was shipped by UPS, but I wasnt home when UPS arrived, so for some strange reason
it was immediately shipped back to the seller.
After asking them to re-ship the drive, they instead refunded my $, but not the s/h fee. An email sent to me by Amazon.com
did state s/h fee will be refunded, however, they offered me store credit or something instead.
Had I just went to my local computer store, I would've had a DVD burner 2 weeks ago.
Utter BS and a waste of time!

"Amazon is really bad for APO users living overseas. Half the stuff I try to order comes back with "sorry, we can't send this to an APO". I then go to other reputable websites like newegg.com, bhphoto.com, cvs.com, or jr.com, and they gladly send the exact same product to me. I work exclusively in US Embassies overseas, and tell my fellow diplomats that they should use Amazon.com only as a last resort. The rest of the internet market has no problem sending me the items I need, but Amazon obviously feels that they make enough money already and don't need the business of several thousand foreign service Americans. Too bad, as the other companies have no problem supporting Americans working on behalf of America overseas."
