Bought my Samsung HL-T6187S from Amazon.com on 9/23/2007. For a 61" LED DLP TV for $2100 it was a good price. I came from a 15 year old 32" CRT TV so this was my treat. The TV was slated for arrival on 10/2 or 10/3 by Eagle USA. Came on 10/2 on time and in working order. No physical damage. Couldn't turn on the TV because electrical work was being done to my house. Kudos for Amazon and Eagle. Turned on the TV and my eyes were as giddy as a school boy.

"I ordered a batch of memorex dvd+r discs from amazon and they turned out to be mostly all bad discs. I sent an email to amazon about it and the next day I received an email saying that a full refund has been issued and already in progress. I will only shop at amazon from now on if they have what I'm looking for. Sometimes amazon costs a little more but if you have a problem with your product(s) they will make it easy for you to resolve the problem and not make up stories on why they cannot issue a full refund unlike some other online stores I've dealt with. I will certainly only buy blank dvds from amazon from now on that is for sure!"

"Cancel order, amazon claims store must issue refund, store claims amazon must issue refund.
I am out 197.00 and amazon keeps replying with the same canned email that the seller issues refund and doesn't address the issue at all

"I've ordered from Amazon numerous times. Despite super saver shipping sometimes taking awhile, it is always within amazon's stated time frame. Prices are reasonable, however, individual item prices can fluctuate by 30% on a day-to-day basis."

"I've placed almost 20 orders with Amazon since 2005, never had any problem. Very fast shipping, good packaging. Have yet to call Customer Service.

Only negative is that the items NOT sold directly from Amazon.com appear to not combine on shipping, plus you might get into some shady dealers with a bad reputation. I try to only buy directly from the Amazon.com inventory.

On order #21, they d*cked me over. GJ amazon, just lost another customer.

"I have been a customer of Amazon.com since the first year they were in business 1995. I am completely satisfied with this company. They have satisified me on every order and I have placed hundreds of orders! I find that if you have a problem they will satisfy you. If you get a customer service rep overseas just call back and you can get one in the US. "

"I have ordered several items and have been really pleased with everything. I always receive my items 3-4 days after the purshace and that is with FREE shipping so it is an excellent deal! There is only two DVD stores that I shop online and Amazon is definitely one of the best! Not always does Amazon have the best price but I usually will only shop there because of the great cudtomer service and fast shipping, usually Amazon is cheaper but sometimes they can be quite higher so you just have to browswe around online. For instance on there pre order DVD's you can't beat the prcies so I never even have to hesitate to order my box sets all the time because Amazon is so quick and the price is the best on the web... "

"I ordered a Sigma 17-35mm f/2.8-4 EX DG wide angle zoom lens from Amazon.com, for a price of $237.09. The same lens from other reputable New York camera suppliers lists for $419.89 - $479.00.

I opted for the Super Saver shipping which cost nothing additional. The order was placed and shipped to me in one week. The lens is a new, fully warranted (4 year limited warranty) lens from the U.S. distributor.

Am I happy with Amazon.com..? I'd be stupid if I wasn't!!

"I've ordered several times from Amazon.com and have yet to be let down. Even through the Amazon marketplace, I've had complete success, which is even difficult for Amazon to do, since it doesn't have direct control over those sellers.

Amazon has pretty much everything you can imagine, even food now. Do your own searching, Amazon doesn't always have the lowest price, but if it does, feel safe to buy from them. I highly doubt you'll be disappointed.

"My experience with amazon started many years ago. I still have an "amazon mouse pad" that I won as a gift in one of my first purchases. I never really had any serious problem with them until recently and I always enjoyed the free delivery (actually, included in the price, so I read it :-)) and usually, despite being free, the shipping and delivery time were always good, sometimes very good.

Lately, amazon.com is taking too long to ship. I had to cancel one order because the items wouldn't arrive in time, and I bought them in a physical store. Note that the delay was not because it was free delivery but simply because they were taking too long to ship. The items remained in the "not shipped yet" condition for ten days, when I finally decided on canceling them.

What upsets me most in amazon is that they have three stages for the delivery: "not shipped yet", "shipping soon" and "shipped". You can only cancel an order if the item is in the "not shipped yet" status. When it reaches the "shipping soon" status, you cannot cancel it anymore, but you can return (wait until it arrives, and then return and pay the shipping both ways). It's a hassle, specially because I had one item, worth 400 dollars, that stayed in the "shipping soon" status for more than a week! How come! I was willing to cancel it, so angry I was at the delay, but I couldn't, because it was "shipping soon"...

So, I had amazon as a great store until recently when, after 25+ reviews during the past 8 years, I wrote a review about the Kellogg's Cereal SMORZ. In that review, I explain that Smorz does have transfat (despite the label that says zero gram per serving!), and that buyers should be aware (more info, visit bantransfat.com). Well, I think I hurt amazon's business because they refused to publish my review telling me that I should focus on the product. I was focusing entirely on the product but truth be told, they didn't want me telling the truth.

So, because my review, my opinion, was not published, I decided to delete ALL my reviews and so I did, gladly. Now, I avoid buying from amazon at all costs. If they didn't publish a true review because it could hurt their business, I can't trust amazon anymore. So, for me, they deserve no more my money and I don't recommed buying there. There are too many good online stores.

Update: well, after some months, my angry towards amazon has faded and I am back to buying from them. But I am not writing reviews anymore and I read the ones that amazon show with suspicious now because I know that they will only publish reviews that are not going to hurt their business too much.

Update 2011: I keep buying from amazon. Angry against them is gone because, aside from the horrible "shipping soon" policy (that is still the same), I rarely have a problem with them and, when I have, customer support has been very helpful.
