"I ordered from a merchant through Amazon.com. The seller completely ripped me off. I placed the order on August 28th, and by the 22nd of September I had still not received my order. I filed an Amazon.com A to Z claim against the seller, and in a little over a week, Amazon.com refunded the full price of my order. (Including Shipping!) Although the seller was a joke, Amazon.com was very easy to work with. This time I will order directly from Amazon.com."

"Very good service. I recieved my package like 5 days early of expected arrival. And they shipped it UPS even though I got the free shipping. Usually other sites ship USPS for free shipping to lower cost, but that takes like forever to get. The only thing I didn't like about the shipping was the package was damage, but that's was OK because it was only the covering of the items which was a battery charger. I think it was damage before, thus I think it was not UPS fault, but the charger still works."
"I've been buying from amazon.com for at least 5 years, and have never had a problem that wasn't resolved to my satisfaction. Once they sent two books, different titles but same exact content. They accepted return and refunded all costs for the other book. Until the advent of "Amazon Prime", a fee-based program that provides free 2-day shipping, I always used their free shipping on $25+ orders, and received quick delivery. However, with their new fee-based program, their free delivery takes upwards of a week before shipment. Once shipped, still get order within a couple of days, just have to wait for shipment. Kind of a pain, but oh well. The last order I used one-day shipping, ordered on 9/20, and had the item on 9/21, excellent, and not excessive shipping charge. "

"You can't count on Amazon to provide reliable shipping.Even if you choose next day or 2nd day shipping, your item may not even be processed to ship out for 3-4 days, even though the website states "usually ships within 24 hours" and even when they use advertising such as "need it by this Wednesday?" etc. When you phone them to try to find out the status of your order, they never have any information other than it is processing or has been sent to fulfillment. They can never tell you when your order might ship or even when you should expect to receive it, until it actually ships out. The Customer Service Department has little to no communication with the fulfillment or shipping departments at all.
By they way Amazon.com's customer service 800 number is 1-***-***-****. They do not publish this anywhere on their site for their customers.
While Amazon sometimes has very good low prices, their shipping and customer service leaves a lot to be desired. And should you have a problem, watch out, they most likely won't be able to help you at all."
"Recently I have been searching for an Xbox 360 to pre-order that did not require me to purchase an expensive bundle. While surfing the web I came across just such a thing on Amazon. The premium Xbox 360 system for the retail price of $399.99.
I placed my order and received the order confirmation from amazon within minutes and I elated. The order stood for three days until an email appeared in my inbox stating that the order had been canceled due to a system error.
That's fine I thought. I would continue to watch the site and when the product became available again I would re-order it. That's what I thought at least. The product is still listed but, no pre-order tag is present.
Today I went to Amazon.com to find they are pre-selling Xbox's in bundle form. This annoys me.
The fact that I ordered the product, was told they weren't selling the product, and it turns out they are. My satisfaction really isn't important to them. "
