"I purchased some workout equipment, on amazon.com and it was purchased directly thru Amazon. I even chose to pay extra just so that it was direct from amazon which didnt help me at all.

When I received the merchandiser it didn't work at all and the description was completely wrong. So i complained and the response received was. Unfortunately we only use information supplied by manufacturer, please contact manufacturer. So i did and they told me to get it refunded threw amazon. he point is bot places bounced me around and in the end NOTHING WAS RESOLVED.

To make things worse Amazon froze my merchant side so i cant even sell my own stuff and explained its due to negative feedback, which i had received months ago. so not only did they screw me with the product but they also held my money from items i sold for 6 months.

"I've purchased several items from Amazon over the years. Shopping at Amazon is always a good experience. Even when I had to return an item, they make that so easy.

I recently purchased "Mega Man Anniversary Collection" video game for my son. As usual, it came in good packaging, and was as described.

"Amazon was my favourite online merchant but recent changes in pricing policies makes it loose my trust.

Several times in the last few months I noticed the issue when product price increase when product is placed in cart. Thinking about technical difficulties I spent some time deleting and re-adding the product only to find out 10 -15 minutes later that price increased on the product page as well.
It becomes even worse when someone use 'one-click' purchase button. In this case you just buy the product only to find out later that you paid price higher than what was on the product page.

I contacted Amazon - but all they did is referred me to the pricing policies.

In terms of product availability, shipping and other features Amazon is one of the best online merchants, but the way how they monitor and change prices is very bad.

I believe trust is the most important thing for any online retailer. Well, Amazon is slowly loosing my trust.

"I have used Amazon for years now, probably at least 10 if not more. I can't think of a single problem I have had with them. I am in the US Air Force and have been stationed from one side of the globe to the other, as well as doing stints in Afghanistan. Let me tell you - they treat military RIGHT! My packages, regardless of where in the world I am, ALWAYS get to me in seven days or less! Their prices are outstanding, and the few problems I have had, they bent over backwards to fix. I wish I could get everything I wanted from Amazon.

Amazon - keep taking care of us military the way you do, and THANK YOU!

"I tried to upgrade my phone through amazonwireless. The sale went through fine, but within two hours their "review team" cancelled the order. I wasn't given any explanation for the cancellation and I was referred back to my service provider to make this upgrade. My service provider (sprint) confirmed that I was eligible for upgrade and that there was no problem that they could see with my account. Amazon customer service refused to tell me what the problem was with the order or why they wouldn't process it. Sprint had no idea why amazonwireless was not allowing the upgrade. This was my first experience with Amazonwireless and the only reason I was going to purchase the phone through them to begin with was because they had the cheapest price on the phone I wanted. I will never do business with them again based on this experience. "

"Amazon is GREAT. Fast shipment and the use of Prime is well worth it. (not to mention they throw in all the movies and stuff) I always go to Amazon 1st. Even if the price is a 1$ or 2$ higher. "

"Ordered a hitch (for towing). I received the first shipment with a missing ball mount and the item was not in a box but was just the bare hitch with many scratches and the parts bag was taped to the item and the parts bag was open. The Amazon return process was very simple and not the stress i expected. A few days after submitting my return, i received the second shipment and this time just the hitch arrived with no ball mount and no parts bag, just a bare hitch. I submitted yet another return request and my replacement order was not automatic as with the first return. A call to Amazon was very pleasant. American customer service rep (YEA!) who was very helpful and said that i would receive a refund and could order the item again once i received the refund if i would like but Amazon policy is two returns of the same item MAX. Apparently, Amazon pulls all items and inspects them when an item is returned more than twice. Not exactly what i wanted but not bad customer service at all!

I waited for my refund which came within days of shipping the item back and then i ordered again. Item received with all parts.

"ok, real quick. the shipping time are horrible. 5 work days pass before item ships. i shouldn't have to pay for "prime" service.

also they ban new retailers for no good reason whatsoever.

"Amazon is fast and convenient, especially if you use Amazon Prime for two day shipping. Prices are generally competitive, though you can often find a cheaper price if you look hard enough. However, the huge inventory and convenience make Amazon the first place I look when comparing prices. When everything goes well, Amazon is great.

Unfortunately, Amazon customer service is horrible. You might as well be dealing with nameless, faceless robots. I received multiple correspondence from "a customer service rep" who was also quite rude. Good luck reaching customer service through the phone or getting your message returned. Also Amazon can arbitrarily terminate your Prime account without refund if it thinks your buying habits are abnornal--even without proof of misuse. Finally, the return policy states Amazon is not responsible for items once they are turned over to the shipping company. So if you order an item that arrives broken, according to Amazon's return policy, they have no obligation to replace or reimburse you for the item.

"My review is specifically for the items sold by Amazon LLC and not the third-party sellers as they vary from each seller.

I'm a doll collector and I have ordered lots of items from them, mostly shipped to India and some in USA.

Every time I was satisfied with everything! They always sent correct items (my luck), their payment process is quick, shipping is good and best of all is their staff.

I only contact through email (chat only for small info) and they always help. Many times I had questions about their promotions and sometimes problems with some price dropping. But their representative gave me refunds, free international shipping and high gift credits!

Their prices are usually retail prices or sometimes a little higher and their only problem is that they have high import fees or something, and they mostly pack well with air packs except in some rare cases packaging is not so good, but my items were okay anyway.

Their cancellation process usually works, although I haven't returned anything yet so I don't know about return facility.

A good thing about big stores is that since they're so big they don't mind giving credits to their customers. Although we can't say this for third-party sellers, but Amazon themselves always help.

Amazon is currently the best online shop here, at least compared to the other ones like Toys-R-Us which are just horrible.

Long live Amazon!

"I have ordered probably 100-200 products from Amazon and NEVER ONCE received the wrong item, was charged incorrectly, gotten any defective item, or any other problems. Outstanding. When I order from other places I have all kinds of issues. Prices are good. Whenever I need something, I will always check Amazon first."
