"Better to buy local products, that way you don't have to send it back to China in order to get a refund.

To buy items from them means you have to be 100% sure you love the product, if you buy it and don't like it... It is an ordeal to send it back to China on your own expense and expect at least 50% refund...As you all know it is difficult to be sure about a purchase if is done online.

"Amazon is great if you order items that are directly sold and shipped by them! Beware of marketplace and third party sellers on the site. Otherwise I have had exceptional service with Amazon. Once a courier just basically gave up delivering my item due to weather conditions. There were some light flurries that week... I contacted amazon through live chat and they re-sent the package same day and it came even faster than expected! It arrived the day after at no additional cost. Every item I have ordered has arrived in a timely manner. They also don't charge you until your product is shipped, which can't be said for many other retailers that hold your money hostage at checkout! I ordered a back-ordered item, found it somewhere else for the same price. Cancelled my amazon order with no worries of money lost. Excellent experiences with amazon.ca and amazon.com. They go above and beyond of what is expected of an online retailer. The biggest gripe with the site is their selection. Amazon.ca has a very poor selection in comparison to the American counterpart. Often times it's better to shop elsewhere for prices and selection. I can only hope Amazon decides to expand in Canada more. But please people! Be wary of who you're actually buying from on their sites! Buying from a third party is risky anywhere, might as well go to ebay.

Summary: Excellent customer service. Keeps promise to customers and fulfills orders to the utmost of their ability.

"Ordered Razer Earphones, Razer mousepads, SennHeiser Headphones, and a hardcover book. All are in excellent condition and came earlier than predicted date. Despite all the bad reviews, I am going to definitely be ordering off of amazon.ca more often."

"If you have a problem with what you ordered, better not waste your time to contact them. Seemingly they couldn't give a damn about you.

Ordered an xmas toy for my boy which was seemingly made of cheap and highly breakable plastic that shattered within 10 min for play on xmas morning. The seller - supernova japan- basically said screw you for their complete lack of help and amazon came back that it was not their problem since the issue occured 14 days after delivery. IT WAS AN XMAS PRESENT!! Did they expect me to open and play with it before xmas?? Then they end the letter with "thank you for your understanding". MORONS!

"I missed out on their Black Friday sale so when the price dropped to the same level again a few days later, I ordered the Crucial M500 240GB SSD drive on Wednesday morning.

ETA for delivery was the following Thursday (which I thought was perfectly acceptable for free delivery)...but to my surprise, the drive arrived 2 days later.

I couldn't be happier with Amazon.ca :)

"the seller of this item is a fraud that works with amazon, they never replied my inquiries about the item , just because they know its fake and not in working condition, amazon charged my card without replying to my complains about the item , even after canceling item i was charged and never got my money back, this is not good, amazon always scam me all the time i purchase from them , fake people/organisation !!! "A very bad experience last wk. Ordered 150$ worth of Ina garten cookbooks. Told to order within 3 hrs to get next day delivery. I ordered within 30 mins n order didn't come thru at all for the nx 3 days. When checking with them, they gave reasons like no one's home etc etc but we were all at home waiting for books to arrive!! Was told it will be delivered the following evening or next morning. Nothing came!! They lied
!! We even left a note to say leave parcel at side door when
we went out to run a short errand!! I had to cx the ord as I
was leaving the country! I won't trust it again!!

"I'm very disappointed with Amazon.ca's delivery service. I actually went with them and not to Babies R Us.ca because I had read positive reviews about Amazon and negative reviews about Babies R Us.

They are not disability friendly at all - I tried to request a specific delivery option (UPS) instead of Canada Post because Canada Post does not deliver to my home. They refused. If you want home delivery, do not expect it from amazon.ca. I am very disappointed in this aspect of their customer service and highly doubt I will be ordering from them in the future.

I gave them 2 stars (fair, not poor) while rating the customer service section of this review just because their customer service representatives were fairly quick to reply to my emails. Other than that they are not interested in their customer's best interests.

"I really cannot understand home Amazon is liked by so many people, it is slow and has many glitches and malfunctions. it is the worst "professional" website I have ever been on. when trying to order more than one item I created an account and added two different items to my cart on two different tabs, and amazon would not recognize that I had 2 items in my cart, it would just show the 1 item on each tab, no matter how many times I tried to refresh the page. I gave up on two different tabs and continued trying on just one tab, first I added the first item to the cart and then I was stuck on the cart page with no "continue shopping" button like EVERY SINGLE OTHER WEBSITE has, yeah fyi amazon that's a really useful button. i figured out how to get past that point and looked for my second product on the same tab and it came up with the same product, from a different seller for $20 more, no thanks i want my cheap one please. i gave up on ordering them in the same order and proceded to order them seperatly and amazon would not give me my total including shipping in any official chart or anything until after i gave my credit card number. I tried everything on 2 computers and this happened both times. I have no idea how amazon has survived as a company with an unorganized website like this."

"Amazon.ca has taken a turn for the worse. They are completely decoupled of vendors on their "marketplace" whose service makes shopping at best, random on their site.
It is regrettable that we are no longer valued as customers there. I guess the order of the day is: just order directly from China, it's probably going to be the same.
