"Although the problem with the freezer light was NOT the door switch that I purchased from Appliance Parts, it was necessary that I replaced the switch first to see if that fixed the light problem. It turns out that I bought a replacement for the light at a local appliance store because it was not clear that the light that I wanted to buy was the right one (from your diagram). It turns out that the one I purchased from the appliance store worked. It's easier to return the light to the store rather than from Appliance Parts, it it had been the wrong part."
