"The part (door gasket/seal) arrived quickly and in good shape, but without the promised installation instructions. I asked for the instructions in a chat before ordering, to make sure I would know how to install it, but the rep could not find any.
When I received the part I called back and asked for the instructions again, which they sent by email. But the instructions do not say how to remove the door; it only says refer to the manufacturer's installation instructions. However when I called Kitchenaid, they have no such instructions, and referred me to a local service/repair company to call.
There was an installation video online at the web-page for the part, but the video was for a much different refrigerator. The video described removing the door to install the gasket, but removal of the door on my specific refrigerator is very much different than the one in the video. Removal is more difficult, and now I will have to call for a repairman to come remove the door, replace the part, and reinstall the door."
