"A friend called asking if he could bring a laundry load over as his new washer got fried during a power failure while running on a noisy generator (let that be a lesson - no wash during power fail). A day after he left our washer squealed and would not empty, just cycled again and again until we noticed. When I moved the washer the problem was obvious... pump belt on the ground.... along with a split sheave. Figured out the parts, and ordered them before the boss was even out of bed! On expedited arrival, installed in just a few minutes and then tested. It really helps if you don't mix up the hot and cold hoses.... which took just a few more minutes. First breakdown of our 33 year old Maytag!"
