It's possible that there was an error and the wrong part was sent to you, or you received and incorrectly packaged part. "Online chat helped me to identify the correct ice maker filter for our Thermador. That required some persistence on her part because I was unable to locate the model number on the unit and the manual was for more than one model. Eventually we did figure out the model and I ordered a filter that fits perfectly. I immediately ordered 3 more in order to have an inventory. For each order, shipping charges were reasonable and delivery was pretty quick. I'm pleased with the entire experience."
