"It's huge - 48 x 36" and looks fabulous over my sofa. It arrived very quickly and was packed well and delivered in perfect shape. (Purchased 10/19, received 10/24) I had looked at literally THOUSANDS of pictures on line when a friend suggested Art.Com. It was the very first landscape picture I saw, and fell in love with it immediately. I kept looking, but kept coming back to this one by Childe Hassam."
"I ordered a large framed print. It came quickly and was packaged well. Unfortunately, rather than glass, the art is framed with a sheet of acrylic. When I called to question this, I was told that it is the only available option. That is not made clear anywhere on the website or during the ordering process.
In addition, now that the print is hung, there seem to be air bubbles developing at the top underneath the acrylic as though the print is not adequately affixed to the backing.
I would not recommend ordering this large size. Be aware, that glass is not used for framing, only acrylic, which looks cheap."
"Provided the company my email address and now it sends me 4 emails a day and it’s unsubscribe does not appear to work- steer clear there are far better art companies out there"
"While they have a nice range of art prints available, their custom framing and customer service are both poor in quality. I’ve purchased prints and they were fine, but when I ordered custom framed prints, the framing was a mess. One image was crooked, another poorly cropped. However, one framed print came with a big chunky white border remaining around the print even though the preview image in the order showed the white area removed and nicely cropped. When I contacted customer service to return it, they told me it was my fault because I didn’t select the right option (despite the preview image not matching what I received). They provided no directions on how to make a return and certainly did not offer to pay the return shipping. They later followed up with a generic customer service survey and I provided some very frustrated feedback and there was no follow up. So, if you want to buy a print, fine, just avoid anything custom like framing or matting.
Update: After I posted this review, Art.com contacted me and issued a refund for the framed print I previously tried to return. That was appreciated. I am updating my review from 2 stars to 3 stars."
"My experience with Art.com is nothing short of an abysmal failure. Their horrible communications, lack of inventory controls, refusal (or inability) to answer questions. I ordered twelve prints totaling close to $2,000. Four of those prints were "unavailable" or "discontinued," one of which wasn't communicated to me until ten days after I placed the order. That's 1/3 of the full order. Why are these items available to purchase if they're discontinued? To make matters worse, two of the prints I was told were "discontinued" were actually delivered. What if I went ahead and ordered replacement prints? I have an e-mail string between myself and several individuals from their "customer service" group that contain conflicting and completely inaccurate information. The left hand obviously doesn't know what the right hand is doing. The reps provide robotic, scripted replies, and there is absolutely no inventory control. The final e-mail came from someone named "Pamela" who apologized and acknowledged that their communication was unclear and incomplete and there are blind spots between her customer service team, her merchandising team, and the vendors. I'm not unreasonable. I know things can happen, but their customer service is non-existent. Excellent customer service is not the absence of issues but how those issues are handled and resolved. "
"After two month I waited and contact this site, none of the items I bought has received and my account still waiting for the refund.
It took a bit but my account was refund but still no items. "
"I ordered a Giclee premium Monet print and paid almost 70.00 with shipping. The print arrived and was only partially printed and only covered a very small section of the order canvas size. It cost me 12.00 to send this "junk" back to them. The guy at the frame shop was amazed that they actually shipped it. Ultimately, I was out 12.00 and a couple of hours of my time. Beware!!!"
"After ordering I requested they leave the Art.com sticker OFF the back of the pieces because they are for resale, impossible to take off, and damage the backing. I was absolutely assured there would be NO stickers on the back of the order. Guess what? All the pieces had their dumb sticker on the back. When I brought the issue up with CS on chat they gave me the runaround, told me the sticker wasn't optional, then basically called me a liar regarding the past chat. 100% satisfaction guaranteed, huh? They offered me a 10% discount on my next order. You'd think a company called ART.COM had heard of white label packaging. I'm never giving them another dime. Complete BS."
"Purchased a Palouse Evening Abstract acrylic painting in April 2016, professionally hung, no earthquakes, no house settling issues to speak off and the acrylic art is cracking!!! Contacted Art.com - they no longer sell items from this vendor, they did offer a discount (discount amount not given) on framed art. Paid over $300 for this piece plus shipping and now its crap!!"
"Received painting on time and was satisfied, will purchase again. "
"Ordered a 16x20 canvas print and am incredibly disappointed with product and response in a remedy for my problem. Canvas over-stretched and shoddy workmanship."
"Constant harassing emails after unsubscribing. Stated time to "not" receive emails was ten days. More emails are being sent after unsubscribing ( 3 to 4 per day). We would never, not ever recommend dirt such as this business to anyone.
* We have now reported art.com to the Federal Trade Commission."
"Ordered two custom framed prints online. They looked great and I was very pleased. Hung them today. After about 15 minutes on the wall, one print fell down crashing into the other print and damaging the frames. The wire on the back was attached to a small piece of metal screwed into the frame. The screws fell out of the frame. There were more holes there where they had tried to attach the metal piece and failed. Not professional guys! Where was the quality control? I will not buy from them again!"
"I placed an order and only received one of my pieces. One piece was several weeks late arriving and they never sent an email updating me on the second shipment. Other than that, the website was very easy to use and the artwork came very secure and looked great!!"
"Amazing experience with Art.com THANK YOU!"
