Frustrated Customer

"This is an update to the first disaster with Ashley!! The bed that I ordered in November !! Well, the bed is still propped up in my bedroom... Because the first time they attempted to assemble the bed, it was missing pieces!! this was after I waited several weeks for the right pieces to be delivered, well I got the delivery, but this time it was short of a whole set of screws for the left side of the bed!! I'm totally exhausted from this whole experience!! Now, the new date is the 20th of this month!! I would love to just go to the store with a sign to worn people to stay away from ASHLEY FURNITURE STORE!! I beg you to stay away from this store!!"

Terrible customer service and lies at selma tx location

"I will start with my in store experience, we did a sleep study to learn which mattress would be best. After we picked out what mattress we were getting we talked about picking it up on the 2nd because they could not deliver until the 8th. When I went to pick up on the second they did not have my order. Immediately I call and a text my salesman and I get no reply for 3 days! During that 3 days I call numerous times to talk to someone about my issues but I keep getting passed around to 3 different people who all tell me they are the sales manager of the store! The first guy tells me he will work on it and please give him 24 hours to fix the problem, after 24 hours I call back and I talked to another gentleman who also told me he was the sales manager. He told me he was very sorry and he would refund me the price of the pillows that I paid for. (The problem is the pillows were part of the rebate), and that he would make sure my order was on the way or I could go pick it up in Houston! The next day I called back to talk to the same gentleman and he is not there so I talked to a lady who tells me she is also the sales manager of the store and that she is so sorry and she will get me my money back on delivery ... problem is I didn't pay for delivery I was going to pick up my item. After I tell her to just please cancel my order and I will find someone else low and behold my salesman text me and tells me he it is looking at my information and since they cannot get the mattress I want they will upgrade it free and I would be able to pick up on the 5th. Reluctantly I went to pick up my items when I get home and unbox I realized my mattress was never upgraded but someone and entered the wrong SKU number and my mattress had been sitting at the pickup location since II! This company is an absolute joke and all I want is your money. I really wish that I would have done some reviews before dealing with them. Don't make the same mistake I did ... go somewhere else and save yourself a lot of time and frustration"

Dining room set and dresser and night stand

",I purchased a dining set from Ashley furniture. They came and unassembled my dining room set, destroyed it and put it un garage .Then assembled table and chairs. Workers unable to communicate due to language barrier. When they left ,one chair very wobbly. Called Ashley furniture, had to set up an appointment to get chair fixed. Gentlemen came and said,screws not put in.Now again in January scores have fallen ot of chair. VERY POOR QUALITY FURNITURE. Also my mom who is 86 years old could have fallen due to screws out of chair.Also color came off within a month .called them and they came and colored it in with pen.Lastly purchased brand new dresser and nightstand.Nightstand missing parts.U've been calling for over 3 month zaz to get parts.Still haven't received parts.Be aware th iui s furniture is put together in your home and very poor QUALITY. "

Worst service

"Paid for furniture that took 30 days to be delivered. And came broken and missing the feet called and ask them to overnight the feet They won’t they have what the wanted from me my $$ and I have broken furniture. Will never buy from them again or recommend still waiting on my replacement parts . "

Lies

"Bought a kids set and Horase Henderson said he will have it delivered 12/23 with a loaner frame and a second delivery of 12/29 so I called about info and they said none of it will be delivered till 12/29 even though it is all in the warehouse. Blanca at customer service said nothing will be done and if I want it that we can pick it up in 2 hrs. So we went and no one calls the warehouse so we waited another 2 hours plus. I proceeded to call Horace Henderson at the store and once hold them why I needed to speak to him he refused to take my call. Poor service all the way around and will not support them anymore. There are far to many options to go with (living spaces,IKEA, Havertys) than a company that treats people with disrespect. "

Worst Experience during the Holidays

"Taking back the below review. THIS HAS BEEN THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY ENTIRE LIFE. Do not buy from this store. Delivery was terrible and is still an on-going process. Delayed furniture, lying customer service reps, huge run-arounds, damaged furniture (literally every piece I bought), and horrible communication. I cannot wait for this nightmare to be over, thank you Ashley for ruining my Holidays and not allowing for me to have family over. DO NOT TRUST ANYTHING THEY TELL YOU. Still waiting for my gift card I was promised too. All lies.

At first I was very turned off by this store because the first two salesmen we had were very pushy and lied about a few things to try and lead to a sale. We decided to go back on Black Friday because we were in love with a dining room table and they had great financing options. This time around our salesman, J, was amazing! We ended up buying a whole dining room set, sectional, coffee table, and entertainment center. We got great financing and an awesome deal on clearance chairs for the dining table. We are waiting for delivery, hopefully that goes smoothly! Could not have asked for a better experience this time around. Can't wait to get our new furniture!!!!

Bad customer service ever

"Worste company to deal with
We bought entire house furniture when we moved to Michigan from Westland store. They promised delivery with in 2 weeks and it’s going on 10 weeks .
They gave us wrong furniture
Damaged missing parts and they won’t fix it. STAY away from that location

Worst customer service on Earth !!!!

"I purchased a theatre recliner over $2,000 purchase. I called their c/s tO schedule an appointment for someone to come out and fix it. I started calling c/s at 11:00 AM on Thursday. First I was on hold for over 33 minutes. I waited awhile and called again. It is now 5:05 PM and I still have not reached c/ s. You are on ETERNAL HOLD. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE ON EARTH."

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!

"My mother recently had her knee and part of her femur & tibia removed due to cancer and wanted a table that did not have legs on the corners to help her mobility. There was a pedestal table at Ashley she liked but the display model was counter height. After explaining the situation to the sales rep, she showed us the back of the pricing guide where the table came in regular height, so they ordered that model based on her recommendation. I was present for this conversation. However, when delivered table, it was regular height but had corner legs. My parents told the deliverymen it was the wrong table but they told them to take it up with the store. They called the store and were told they should have refused delivery. They also said the regular height version of the table did not come on a pedestal, therefore the table received was the one ordered and if they wanted to return it they would have to pay a restocking fee, the delivery fee was non-refundable and a pickup fee would be charged. My trusting elderly parents believed the sales representative that the lower table was just like the one on display expect for the height and would meet their needs and they trusted the deliverymen who told them to take up the issue with the store. Even if the table ordered was indeed what was received, the sales women and the deliveryman, all employees of Ashley Furniture either outright lied or were unfamiliar with the company’s products and policies. Either way this is on Ashley. Numerous calls have been made to the local store and even the corporate office in Memphis (Connie & Jenna) to explain the situation but the company refuses to take responsibility for the actions of their employees and make it right. In addition, the chairs that came with the table are uneven and rock. DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY! Their products are sub-par and their customer service is reprehensible! "

With a little more detail/care in manufacturing this would be decent furniture.

"We purchased a Ashley Signiture Series Larkenhurst Rocker Recliner thru Amazon recently, & there is very little padding on the chairs arms where Your arms rest, to the point You can actually feel the frame of the Chair more so than the padding-it is annoying & uncomfortable. Also there is very little lower back support. The depth of the seat is all wrong also-I have long legs, & usually if anything the chair depth would be too shallow for Me-this Chairs depth is too deep. The covering is/looks nice but haven't had it long enough to speak on the longevity of it as far as wear. We got the chair on a decent sale price that was a good bit lower than the normal price (had We paid full price I would have felt worse about the purchase) but it looks like with some simple changes in the build process as to what They are doing now & also better materials this could be a decent Chair. At the price point They have on this Chair I believe You could do as well or better by shopping other Brands and end up with a better made Chair for the same if not less than This one. "

Electric Recliner Purchase

"My sisters and I purchased a recliner for my mom who was in the hospital and due to come home. She would need assistance getting out of a chair so we went to the Ashley store in Fountain Valley, CA and found one and purchased it. We set up delivery so it would be at the house a day or two before my mom was scheduled to come home. No time during the purchase did anyone say we could not return this item if we got it home and didn't want or need it.

Unfortunately, she never came home. We called the store to ask about having it returned and we were told they would not accept the return. The store manager claims he checked with their Headquarters and they confirmed they would not return it. We went to the store and spoke to the sales manager face to face and he said that he had already contacted Headquarters and there was nothing else he could do. I went on-line tonight to check Ashley's return policy and see that it each store is independently owned and operated; therefore they set individual policies regarding returns and exchanges.

Please think twice before purchasing anything from any Ashley store, especially the Fountain Valley location.

Wrong color/Bad Delivery/No Returns

"Ordered table for 2K mid Oct, some order arrived to my house within days, chairs arrived over a week later needing assembly like a low end piece (despite when before you click "pay" the online site says it comes assembled). Just after final delivery of pieces, we set up...the table that was gray on the showroom floor, and in all their pictures, and NOWHERE did I see a brown version, (nor was there ANYWHERE that gave a color choice when ordering) was BROWN...it does not match my house. I called and was told I had 72 hours to return but they would have to call me back, which despite another call they never did, and then I was told it could not be returned. "

"I purchased a bedroom set from Ashley furniture. I put it on layaway the customer service was outstanding. I was called when my items were on sale. Delivery was on time and set up perfectly. I will be purchasing other items from this store. "

Even 1 star is too high for them (DO NOT PURCHASE EVER)

"I just got married. We rent a brand new house in Aurora (Ontario) and made a purchase of 12,000 from Ashley. Before I purchase, the store staff were calling me none-stop. They kept requesting for me to go in and kept promoting. After my purchase, they informed me that the delivery is gonna will take place in 3 steps. Product got delivered damaged. The chairs were in different color (Which I still said its fine). The driver carriers have damaged my whole hallway. After all, the second round of delivery, the whole product was staind and damaged. The driver said himself that they will take it back and the products didn't even get off the truck and got returned. I kept calling and the last time I called, the customer service hanged up on me and said you talked to the manager and you yelled.
They promise but never do what expected.

Broken furniture and stolen property

"I ordered bedroom furniture from Ashley Furniture online. When the delivery guys came to set up the furniture, they split the wood to the headboard by screwing it in too tight and didn't provide the appropriate amount of slats to where our mattress was falling through the frame breaking the bed even more. While they were in my house, one of them asked for a drink of water and while getting them the water they stole my diamond earrings off of my dresser. Since then, no one from Ashley Furniture has been helpful but rather extremely rude to me, the police officer, and the detective working the case to get my earrings back or prosecute the thief. They have refused to provide information such as the whereabouts of either delivery guy, their names, or which warehouse they work for. I believe they think by refusing to provide information on these people I'm going to let this go but I absolutely am not going to do that. I would recommend shopping anywhere else than Ashley Furniture. "
