"Atacom sold 2 complete Mobo/CPU/Fan sets that they recommended as their best.
Little did I know how INCOMPATIBLE their Athlon Fans were (illegal per AMD specs) or they would fail and destroy the CPU within a few hours of booting. The FANs are too heavy and break the plastic tabs on the Mobos. Atacom refused to replace the parts unless I agreed to send them more money.
No resolution after 10 months. They have my money AND my parts. Complaint filed with CA attorney general."

"I too have been ATACOMED ... I bought an Abit KR7A-Raid motherboard, when I received it I immediately noticed the exterior ports of the board had a nice collection of dust on them, being located the furthest inside the bag, I thought, I don't think this board is new .. Then I noticed the parts that come with the board, (cables USB connectors etc) did not match the checklist in the manual .. finally I hooked the motherboard up and it didn't even work! DOA all the way ... I am currently in the process of getting a replacement .. however I have still contacted the Federal Trade Commission, it is under their advise that I allow the company to right the wrong one time, after which a formal complaint will be filed with the FTC, the BBB, and my credit card company. As some of you may be aware, if enough people file a dispute with your credit card company, ATACOM stands a chance of having their credit card merchant account revoked.
I urge to you to email me so I can add your names and email addresses to the complaint, this will insure that ATACOM will have a full investigation launched into the advertising and marketing practices it employs. More specifically see Section 5 of the Federal Trade Commission Act ... ****@****

My returned KR7A-Raid motherboard was received 9-24-02 by ATACOM. I have sent two emails to ****@**** with no response … that’s two days now they have had the returned product! Yes another update, forgive the poor grammer, I am mad .. Atacom faxed me test results saying my board was OK, can't argue with that, however testing by a third party will be done after I get the board back .. it took 4 emails to get 1 reply .. at least they didn't charge me for the tech support and testing .. still don't think everything is Kosher ..
Final Update 10-30-02
After having the motheboard tested at three different places, all of which said it was bad, I began the RMA process of sending the board back to Abit .. Abit got the board, and told me yes it is defective ... SO once again, please don't buy anything from Atacom, first they sold the board to me, made me pay all shipping cost to and back to me after I got it and found it was DOA, and then lied and said it was OK ... well call me weird but I trust Abit who made the board, a little more than Atacom .. You guys can stop emailing me now, I have over 200 people to put on my list going to the FTC and BBB thanks ...
