"WARNING, tries to sell off things that they are not, as many overclockers know the new dlt3c 0309 chips are magnificent overclockers, well this was the onle site i could find that had them for 69.95 a piece (ouch hi for a 1700 but hey you get what you paid for right?) and it is described and very easy to overclock and a great overclocker in item description. well upon receiving my order i get dut3c which if you know anything, is anything but a great overclockers, but technically i guess it didn't say dlt3c on the item, so they were just pulling fast one's on people not paying atention, i will never purchase from here ever again, or will i let anyone i know."
"My friend told me about this store 3 years ago. In 3 years, I've bought four computer systems from them. Their prices are always the best or close to the best; their delivery is always on time; their sales people are intelligent and know their products well."
"I have dealt with Atacom on at least 7 occasions over the last year-year and a half. I like this company. Their prices on motherboards often cannot be beat.
They have great customer service and are not bothered by attendong to the small details. They seem to "get" the idea of keeping a customer happy by truly attending to their needs and what a customer has to say.
Of particular note is Willa, and Jack. Both of whom work in Sales/CS. They go the extra mile.
I had an issue where I was sent a rev 1.0 board just around the same time as the rev 1.1 board came out. I had assumed I'd be getting the rev 1.1 board, that is what I wanted. When I called them up and talked with them I was told "just send it in, we'll get the 1.1 board we just got on out to you".
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. I know I'll be doing business with them again.
Ahh yes, one other thing. They don't appear to look at S+H as a way to make more money, but as it should be - a way to get the merchandise to the customer as quickly and inexpensively as possible.
Two thumbs up.

"Ordered an asus a7n8x. They had the best price I could find, were polite, the board arrived on schedule and worked fine. I am satisfied and would order again."
"I made a mistake in rating this online retailer with bad marks. I thought that they hadn't shipped my product in a timely manner and it was actually a mistake on their website that wouldn't track the shipment properly. I'm changing my opinion."
"I ordered a motherboard. It was shipped promptly, but the motherboard either looks used or has some crazy fungus on the backside. I am not making this up.
It works though, so that is good enough for me."
"Atacom is a good service provider. I ordered a 120GB HDD with External Enclosure. Everything arrived like it was expected and in less than one week, UPS ground though. This was the third time I recieve the right product so fast and in good condition from them. I would choose Atacom for another purchase."
"I rodered twice to build my own computers; however, a motherboard failed after nine months usage. After filled out the RMA form and faxed to the customer service on Tuesday morning and got approval the same day. One week later, I got a brand new replacement of motherboard. "
"I bought a Abit retail version motherboard from this company. The board worked good for five months, and then refused to boot on day. I requested an RMA through Abit because the board had a (3) year warranty. Abit emailed me back saying they no longer support the board because it has been phased out. I sent ATACOM an email with a copy of the Abit email response asking them for some help. That was (3) days ago and they have not even bothered to email me back. My only complaint with this company is their poor customer service. Even if they have no obligation to fix or repair this board because it is under the Abit (3) year warranty, it would have been nice if they would have responded back to me. I won't do business with them again.
Email sent ATACOM, INC.
This Abit Bf6 motherboard stopped working. I bought it on 07-25-02. It was working, now it powers up, then shuts off after 5 seconds. I took the cpu, memory, video card, powere supply, hard drive etc out, put them on another board, it powered up fine.....so it appears the board is not working right......i sent Abit an RMA request because this board has 3 year warranty. This is what they sent me back. What can I do now.....

"I ordered a Leadtek Winfast Geforce3 200TDH from Atacom through yahoo shopping. They sent me the 200T instead. Curtis at Atacom told me they don't carry the 200TDH and they would refund EVERYTHING including the return shipping costs to my cc. They didn't. Atacom did not refund the $25 shipping even though they admitted fault. In fact, had I opened the box they would have screwed me for a 15% restocking fee too.
Since all this, Atacom did post the correct picture for the 200T on yahoo shopping but the product description still describes the 200TDH!.
Other people praise Atacom for their order. Anyone can ship the correct order. The true test of customer service is how the merchant helps out when there is a mix up.

"This is my second time purchasing from this company. Before I made a purchase however, I was unsure of what to upgrade my motherboard to. The technical support person working at Atacom recommended me a very excellent motherboard that onboard firewire and USB 2.0 capability. The price for this mobo was 20 dollars lower other sites that I have been to. "
"good experience, one item was messed up on the shipping address by ups but overall good"
"Nearly a month and half ago I placed an order for a pair of 2200+ Athlon MPs.
Over a week after getting an order confirmation via email I was informed that the product was out of stock.
From that point in time I've inquired about the status of the order twice since I can no longer check it online. I was informed the products had just arrived back in stock and would ship later that day. 3 hours after receiving that email, I received another stating that the product was again out of stock and wouldn't be available until sometime early next year.
After this I've emailed them twice about the status of the order and over a week and a half since the last email I am yet to received an update.
The times I've talked to their support on the phone they were always foreign and hard to understand, if they even understood what I was saying at some times."
"Satisified: The order was processed quickly, correct product was shipped and arrived in two days. "
"I purchased a motherboard from them last week. The prices were good. A couple hours after I placed the order I received 3 phonecalls from them saying my credit was bad. I called the credit card company and got that straightened out, and called Atacom right back. They said OK, they would ship it out.
After 2 days, I saw that it still hadn't been shipped. I called back Friday morning, and was told it would ship that day, and they would send me a tracking number. By Monday it still hadn't been shipped, so I called them back again. This time they said "there's a shortage". I cancelled the order.
I don't fault them for the credit snafu, or even for not having the MB in stock. But I do wish they would have communicated the situation with me. They were VERY quick to call when they thought they weren't getting their money, but when they didn't have the board to ship out, they didn't say a word, even when I called the first time! All this while, the order status page on the web site still said my credit was not good. No mention of the board being out of stock.
It also didn't help that everyone I talked to there spoke very broken English. They were polite, but it's hard to discuss the problem when you can't understand what the other person is saying."
