"I rented a budget rent a car via atlaschoice and everything worked well. No complaints. I was going to make a change at one point before the rental and I believe that would have been expensive. But in the end I didn't have to.

"After using Atlaschoice 4-5 times in the past with great satisfaction, along with promoting the company with friends, I was quite disappointed with my recent experience in San Antonio, Texas. The car I reserved was a "Ford Focus or similar, 5 seats, 4-5 doors, etc." When I arrived at the Dollar counter, I was informed that the only car they had for me was a Kia 2-door, with a hatchback, no power windows or seats, "a very small car" I was told. I responded that that car would not work for my family.
We needed a roomier car that a small Kia so I asked if I could get the next larger car. Only one car was available in that class, a Hyundai Selantra, which was satisfactory, but for an additional $41.40. I reluctantly paid the additional amount but received no apology or any kind of calming words from the Dollar representative. I was definitely disappointed in that experience.
On another smaller, but disappointing scale, the fuel tank was not full when I got the car. The gauge, showing numerous bars indicating fullness of the tank, did not go to the very top. During my time in San Antonio, I filled the gas tank once and noticed the bars going to the very top of the guage. I estimated at least 30 miles driving before the top bar disappeared--nothing major but noted more so because of the rental counter experience.
I will likely attempt to use Atlaschoice in the future but the San Antonio experience was not good. Thank you for providing me the opportunity to respond."

"A few days prior to arriving at Lisbon Airport for a winter break we received an e-mail from Atlas concerning discounted car hire. For 4 days we were quoted in the region of 6 pounds to 20 pounds. We decided this was cheaper even with fuel and tolls than getting a cab. We went for the dearer quote as the office and pick-up was in the terminal. Car was clean and new and fuel was full to full which was good. No complaints all went very smoothly. "
"This was my first time using Atlas Choice.
The attendant at Dollar (who I rented from), did not seem familiar at all with AtlasChoice of resellers in general. When I offered him the form, he did not even want it.
Also he seemed totally unfamiliar with the outside protection I purchased.
Other than that it was very easy and I ended up with a solid 2 door 4 seater Ford.

"I went through Atlas Choice's website to reserve a rental car for a trip to Atlanta from Denver. Not only was it a terrific rate, but the partner in Atlanta (Dollar Car Rental) was great to work with. No problem with the reservation at all.

"Did not have an issue with booking the rental through atlas choice, the issue was with who atlas choice chose to be my rental agency. Fox was the rental car company..it was AWFUL! Waited in line for over an hour just to pick up the rental car and sign paperwork. Once the paperwork was signed and they finished trying to sell extra stuff, I had to wait for them to clean cars so there would be one available for us.
When I came to return the car, there were 2 ladies standing outside who told us where to park. We then unloaded our luggage, and assumed we had to go inside since the ladies gave us no direction due to them talking and laughing. We go inside and wait in line for an hour ( almost missing our flight) when we get up to the counter , they tell us we need to go outside and find the ladies who will check over the car. It was a terrible experience. "

"At times when it was nearly impossible to get a rental car from the usual providers, I tried Atlaschoice online. I didn't expect to get a car on such short notice (next day). Yet, the booking online was quick, the confirmation for the car turned up in the morning before my flight.
The info on the voucher sums up everything nicely and worked a dream when picking up the car. I expected a somewhat reserved way of treating me as "cheap customer" by the rental car companies when picking up the car. To mu surprise in both cases, the providers were friendly professional, and helpful. I even got an upgrade and was made aware of insurances included and excluded. Great service. Smooth transaction. Only thing I would recommend to change is the number of emails when booking. I must have got 5-7 emails related to the booking of which only 2 are really relevant: the one confirming the booking and taking the money of my card, and the one with the voucher. It would be great if not more than 3 emails are sent. Otherwise information is lost in drowning by email. I'd also recommend to attach the voucher as pdf to the email, instead of forcing customer to go to another website and initiate a print of the voucher.

"I was a little put off the first time because of some negative reviews, but took a chance and am glad I did. I have booked rental cars with Atlas for years now without a problem, ever! It is very rarely that they don't save me at least 30% or more over the best rate that I can find elsewhere for a rental. I recently booked a car for a month in Hawaii and I paid less than most people pay for a week for the same car at the same rental agency."
