"I have only bought once from this company, they are kinda pricey, and the motherboard I ordered was backordered, and got delivered late. They are ok, but there are much better places to buy computer components"
"Although their prices are not as good as they used to be, I have no qualms about purchasing a product from Axiontech.com again. All their stuff always ships on time, and Customer Service (despite what others posters say) is great.
For example, I bought a scanner from them (Umax 2200) which I thought was not working correctly. I shipped it back to them, and within a week, got a new one back.
Online order tracking, many shipping options, and their "no profit on shipping" note add up to make a quality vendor. I have noticed Axiontech representatives on these boards here trying to solve some outstanding complaints. Now, what other vendor does thoat??
[BTW, I don't have an Invoice Number because I don't have it offhand. I will eventually fill that field with a real order number.]"
"UPDATE on my situation with Axion...
After further frustrating me to the point of swearing, none of my questions about my late motherboard were answered. I still did not know what "missing part" they told me about, and they didnt seem to know either. In fact, they were totally clueless about the entire situation. On a funny note, I e-mailed them to cancel my order, and got the reply "How can we cancel something you ahve in your hands" HAHAHAHA funny!! the motherboard that they told me they hadnt shipped was now suppose to be in my hands??? A JOKE, absolute joke. I cleared things up, told them I'd never do business with them again, and canceled the order. Today, found the same exact intel 850 based socket 423 motherboard at Piranha Tech for $29, compared to Axiontech's $59 for the same EXACT motherboard. Not only expensive, but disorganized and just pathetic excuse of a company."
"This company is great.
Before I place my order, I was looking at a couple other companies that also has the simular type of item I wanted to order.
Axion Tech. was ranked the highest among the 3 companies I was looking at. Both the other 2 companies have rather bad reputation.
The item I was ordering was just a cheap piece of USB keyboard that only worth $10 bucks. I was thinking, this isn't a high-tech item and there isn't much thing can go wrong with it, so I guess it shouldn't be a problem even order it from a "bad" company with bad reputation.
However I finally decided I don't want to take any risk even its just a 10 dollar deal. I want to sit back and relax while waiting for my item to come to me.
And Axion sure didn't let me down and proved I made a correct choice.
They didn't just go cheap on me even it was just a $10 business (total $20 with shipping added).
Right after I made my purchased online they immediately sent me a confirmation e-mail about my online purchase.
I then received another 2 e-mails that told me they processed my order and sent out my item, and gave me tracking number.
The keyboard arrived on the exact date they told me. They also packed it so well even it was just a cheap keyboard. The packing sure protect the keyboard very very well. They overdone it!
This is a great company an I sure will order from them again."
"I have purchased from them 4 or 5 times as a walk-in customer. There prices are OK but Newegg.com is always cheaper. I have only purchased from Axion when I was in a hurry because I could get the item that day.
The problem I have had with them is that they never reply to emails. Also, they have an interactive chat client that you can use to talk with their sales people but they never respond when you send them a message.
Currently I am wanting to purchase a DVD burner from them. I tried to use the chat client to speak with a salesrep to see if the item was in stock and got no response. So I sent an email to the Salesrep, no response. A few days later I sent a copy of my original email to all 3 of their Managers assumming this would get their attention, but amazingly still no response.
That just shows that their lack of customer care starts at the top of the company.
UPDATE TO MY ORIGINAL POST:
I just read Axions reply to my original post. Here is the text of their reponse (in case they decide to change their message):
9/12/02 3:22 PM
My name is Andrew Nurcahya with Axion Technologies.
I would like to clarify why our reply emails never reached you. If you check your reply to email, you will see ****@****. Even though this looks like a valid email address, I do not think this is right. It is almost IMPOSSIBLE for anyone to have their FIRST NAME ONLY for their Road Runner email address. I have an account with road runner, my email address is a combination of my first initial and lastname. So is my brother's and friends.
We also have tried to call you, but we have a phone number ***-***-**** which is also impossible. How can we reach you?
This bad comment about our company's service will not have happened if both your email and phone number would have been correct. I hope you would at least contact reseller rating to revert this comment.
I also would like the opportunity to talk to you in person. Please contact me (Andrew) directly at ***-***-**** ext 107.
Thank you
Andrew Nurcahya
MY POST CONTINUED:
How stupid can they be? To actually think that it is "IMPOSSIBLE for anyone to have their FIRST NAME ONLY for their Road Runner email address". Somebody is going to get that email address so who is to say it couldn't have been me?
Andrew, did it EVER cross your mind that maybe 4 years ago when Roadrunner was first introduced in Houston that maybe I was one of the first people in line?
I emailed 4 people (3 general managers) at your company and never got 1 response. Are you telling me that all 4 employees had the same idea, that my email address was fake? Why didn't anybody think to try sending me a response to see if it worked?
For your information, the email address ****@**** is 100% correct. You can also reach me at ****@****, or ****@****. (3 prime email addresss because I was one of the first roadrunner customers)
The phone number in your records is 100% incorrect. After years of being bothered by telemarketers I switched my phone to an unlisted number. I refuse to give out my phone number to anybody that does not absolutely need it. I told your employee that when I purchased from you but he said he had to have a phone number in the system so he made up ***-***-****. I would suggest your modify your computer system to allow your employees to enter "customer declined" in the phone number field.

"This is the second time I ordered from them. The first time I was impressed. The prices were a little bit higher this time but I was still able to find some components matching the price of the other sites I order from (and since the others are far away and ups takes a week to deliver ground from them, I opted for axion). Well the shipping prices now are pretty ridiculous. Also one of the products I ordered was out of stock. I recieved an email several days later saying one of the products I ordered was on back order and requesting I reply to let them know what I want to do about it. Well, the next day the rest of the components arrive, and I recieve another email telling me item is on backorder, the same email I replied to the day before and got no answer (I send email where they tell me to I just get no response). Anytime I called their sales dep I just got put on hold on long distance for 15 minutes. Repeat and rinse. I've gotten 3 emails; I suppose its an automatic mailer, but its more of a slap in the face to repeatedly get told what you already know and can't resolve due to their incompetence. I've replied twice on 2 different email accounts and been put on hold numerous times, and I have yet to reach a living person at axiontech. If my product had been in stock (it was on call for status - more like get put on hold for status); my experience would probably have been as good as my first experience with them. I can handle throwing a couple bucks down for shipping, but I can't stand companies that have no ability to communicate. Worst thing is I will have to deal with them about my late mb. I'm not sure if I will give them another chance. I was able to accept the higher prices and shipping thinking that perhaps their lightning incident forced them to do this. I really dont know if this is the case as it has been over a year since my first order. But no support to me is a killer."
"I have purchased from them 5 or 6 times over the last couple years. Their "no profit" shipping seems to be more expensive than it used to but they have been very easy to deal with. They answer the phone and they have always notified me of any out of stock conditions. I'm a happy customer."
"I have ordered from Axion TEch before and they deliver and they are CHEAP. I will order from Axion again, and I reccomend everyone else who is looking for cheap computer parts to look to Axion. "
"Order a "Retail Boxed" 810LMR motherboard, received a bulk-pack board with no cables, I/O backplate & no AMR modem (which is bundled with the retail version of this board). To add insult to injury, the board was of an older rev, too (4 instead of the current 5) While they did process my rma for refund, they refused to refund shipping for something which is totally their fault. Axion used to be a good vendor...I guess I'll stick with NewEgg from now on.
Your joking, right?
"According to the original web order transaction the motherboard you =
selected did not specify that it was retail boxed, but merely that it =
was boxed."
A description which states "boxed product" and does NOT state OEM =
would lead anyone to think that this is a retail board, not to mention =
IT WASN'T EVEN IN A BOX! Just a static bag. The customer reviews for =
this item on your site specifically mentioned getting a retail product =
with the included retail accessories.
"These mistakes were not performed by Axion Technologies, but were merely the result of poor research."
No, these mistakes were the result of poor customer service on your
part.

"Ordered a generic slotket, decent HSF and an OEM 1.1 ghz celeron to upgrade my gf's PII 450.
Had emailed them about the slotket earlier and they had gotten back to me within 24 hours.
Thursday the order arrived. I did not know it was even on it's way as the offices had gotten struck by lightning before they notified me of the tracking number/shipment.
I thought they had forgotten the processor (as I couldn't find it in the box), and waited a week before I could email them again (due to the lightning strike...last year when bunta tech burned down, my order HADN'T gotten out the door and I waited 3 weeks for it, but that's another story).
I emailed them, and within 24 hours I had a reply that it should be in the box. Turns out that the OEM processor was shipped in the OEM tray, packed in some bubble-wrap with the slotket. I could have sworn it was a retention clip, but I was wrong.
I have previously ordered a motherboard from them, that went off without any problems. I remember buying it at axiontech because they had the cheapest prices for that particular mobo.
I would likely do business with them again."
"GREAT COMPANY!!!! We have ordered from them many many many times and always had great service... AAAAA++++++++++"
"As of August 15, 2002, the Axion Sales office was hit by lightning and burned severely. Just an FYI "
"When things go right, AxionTech sells a variety of computer components at good prices and delivers rapidly. However, if things go wrong, you can expect next to zero support and you will have to pay for everything, including return shipping and phone calls to find out what went wrong.
I have ordered over $2,000 of merchandise directly from AxionTech and have recommended this company to many of my friends, who have also spend a fair sum of money there. No longer.
In April, 2002, I ordered an Asus motherboard, memory, fans, heat sink, and an AMD CPU from AxionTech. They arrived and everything worked – for a while. My friend decided to put a heavy heat sink on the CPU and things stopped working.
Here is where a company with good support comes in.
I shipped the bare motherboard back to AxionTech. Nine days later, it came back in the same condition I got it in, with no explanation or notes on the work they performed, if any. AxionTech also charged my credit card for their return shipping! I called Axion's tech department (a long distance call) for a status report. They said that the motherboard’s CPU socket was cracked and therefore my new motherboard’s warranty was null and void! Why didn’t they write this on a sheet of paper and include it with the motherboard they charged me return shipping on? They also said that even though the motherboard’s warranty was null and void, they managed to make the motherboard work. I tried my CPU on it. Nothing.
Next, I sent in for testing the CPU I bought from them. Unfortunately, I sent it by regular mail. My fault. Two weeks passed. No word, no CPU. I called them again (long distance) and they claimed they never got it! I then had the post office execute a trace. A word to the wise: always ship UPS, FEDEX, or if using the post office, get it CERTIFIED, RETURN RECEIPT REQUESTED!
ONE MONTH LATER, the CPU mysteriously and unexpectedly showed up on my doorstep. Again, no explanation, and again, a charge on my credit card for return shipping. I made yet another long distance call to find out what happened. The techie at Axion didn’t speak English very well and was difficult to understand due to a strong Asian accent. He told me that the CPU passed all benchmark tests and was okay. Again, why couldn’t they have written this information down in plain English with the CPU? Perhaps I just answered my own question.
Since I ran into a dead end with AxionTech and was possibly out $350, I called ASUS. They’re wonderful people there. I shipped them the motherboard (frequent flyer mileage on it by now) and they replaced it no questions asked, no hassles, and no charges on my credit card for return shipping!
Now my system is up and running again, despite the lack of timely tech support from AxionTech.
I will always deal with ASUS. I will NEVER deal with AxionTech again, and I hope you don’t either.

"Bought a floppy drive and DVD drive from them on Monday, shipped from TX same day, came to my house in CA Thursday. Good prices, products arrived fine. Would buy from them again."
"I ordered an Epox 8kta3 from this site end of last month. I must admit I was pleased with how quickly the order came(about 3 days), and the cost of the item, since it's a good quality board. But the night after I had installed it my center tab broke off the ziff socket. I had no prior warning that this would happen, I even inspected the socket after I installed the heatsink. So this left me with a dead machine. I called axiontech, hoping in good faith that they could replace/exchange my board. I would've even bought a more expensive board from them. But as soon as I called tech support and told them, they were very crass and rude. Offered no advice, or help at all. I felt like I was being rushed off the phone. I know it's not Axiontech's fault that my heatsink fell off, but the situation left a bitter/bitter taste in my mouth. Every company owes the customer a certain level of assurance and satisfaction.
But get this....I called Epox(the manufacturer) by EMAIL(fast response too), told them about everything, and they offered to fix/replace my board with no hassle whatsoever.
This company does not care for the customer and hides behind their "customer damage" policy. Read all the other posts as proof of my warning. My advice, be careful buying certain products from this company, because you may be left out in the cold when something goes wrong."
