"I ordered a motherboard and P4 2.4ghz processor combo from them in December. I had a coupon for free USPS shipping, but on check out accidentally switched it to UPS shipping. I emailed the company that night and asked for them to switch it, which they said they would without a problem and my price would be adjusted to reflect the coupon. WRONG! They charged me still for UPS despite TWO e-mails confirming the switch. I also ordered pre-testing on the motherboard, given the fact that I spent nearly 200 bucks on it. So, I get the board and take it all to the local computer tech up the street from my house, who is going to install it for me. I trust this place, they buitl my computer for me over the summer......well, they told me my board was DEFECTIVE, yet I had it PRE(AS IN BEFORE SHIPPED)Tested. I went through the RMA process, returned it, and then had a new one sent to me. Also, a glaring mistake was noticed when I received my package, all the upgrades including cooling gel, upgraded fan and anti-static cord were NOT THERE. So, I called them regarding the upgrades and getting my pre testing moneya nd shipping money refunded for which I was overcharged. After EIGHT attempts, my dad got through and was told that they would REFUND the upgrade cost, shipping cost mistake, and the pre-testng money. It is now March, have I received the refunds? NOT ONE PENNY of the money I was PROMISED WOULD COME BACK TO ME HAS. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and have sent three e-mails to them attempting to obtain my money back. I have been IGNORED by them all three times. I get the automated response saying they will get back to me within 24 hours. THEY HAVE NEVER GOTTEN BACK TO ME ONCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM, IT WILL BE A PHENOMONAL WASTE OF YOUR TIME, THEY WILL SCREW YOU OUT OF YOUR MONEY AND FAIL TO DELIVER THE SERVICES YOU PAID FOR. At this point, I have conatcted the California Attorney Generals office concerning the business practices of BZBoyz.com. They have opened a file pending further complaints regarding BZBoyz.com. To file a complaint with them, please go to the California government webpage, www.ca.gov and go to the Attorney Generals office, they have on online complaint form that can be filled out. It may take them about a month to respond, but they say with further complaints, an full investigation can be done."
"Ordered a Pentium 4 processor from them on 1/29/03. I had ordered motherboards before from this vendor without incident.
On 2/3/03, I received UPS tracking number.
On 2/7/03, I contacted BZBOYZ as the UPS web site showed my order was "delivered" to South Bend Indiana. Great, except I live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
On 2/11/03, four days after I contacted the company, I received a note saying the "shipping department" was looking into the problem. That's the last I've heard of them.
I have filed a complaint with the BBB, but I doubt I'll see my $$180 again!

UPDATED: 3/19/03:
Received a message saying my order had shipped. Funny since it was canceled. I don't know...should I accept the package or refuse it? Ideas anyone? I know longer need the parts and I have filed complaints with every agency I could think of. "
"ordered a motherboard from this company and specifically requested that no upgrades be added.
prior to receipt of my shipment checked my credit card account and noticed a second charge from this company for and additional $50+. when i questioned, this company suggested that the upgrades were ordered. not true. this company does not ship what is ordered. please be careful when ordering from this company."
"I ordered a Athlon XP 2000+ combo with a MSI motherboard, only to find the motherboard to be defective. I tried to contact the RMA department 3 times by email, 5 times by phone, with no luck YET! The "RMA department" has its own unlisted phone number, which it took them 3 times to tell me the right number. None of their numbers are toll-free, and the answering machine picks up during normal business hours.
I HIGHLY HIGHLY discourage anyone from buying from these con artists."
"I COULDN'T BE MORE UPSET WITH THIS ORDER.
I ordered a piece of ram with a pricewatch coupon, totaling 48 with free USPS shipping coupon.
Although...on the order page, there wasn't a USPS delivery option, so I assumed "ground freight" meant USPS.
No - It means UPS. My mistake. Eitherway, their 12 dollar USPS coupon was the same overcharged price for UPS.
Overcharge on the shipping.
NOW HERE'S WERE I GOT REALLY MAD.
They deducted the shipping cost from my card the next day!! How shady can they be? Like, I don't watch my statements online???
I tried a complaint department email, which they said I was out of luck since it already shipped, and they would give me a coupon for adjusting a future purchase price based on their estimate - I'm assuming they would give me a couple of bucks...
I'm sorry I ever bought something from them in the first place. Get them off pricewatch!"
"Horrid customer service! This company was unable to take a telephone order, even though the prices listed on their web page disagreeded with the prices they had published on pricewatch.com. I was therefore forced to explain in longhand what products I wanted and the pricewatch.com prices and the differences to the prices on their website. After this little annoyance they actually sent an email stating they had tried to call me regarding a problem with the order. That was a lie as we have no record of any incoming call. After calling them back to inquire about the "problem" with the order I was informed by one of their associates "Vernon" that they could not ship the order without insurance until I had "confirmed" that I did not want insurance. I asked how much the insurance was and I was told that insurance on my postal order was $10 for a total order of under $150. I called the post office and they say insurance for such an order with tracking would only be $3.20 for insurance and only $0.55 delivery confirmation (yep thats less than a can of sodapop) I told "vernon" that I would take my chances without the over priced "insurance". "Vernon" then said that they would have to send me an email to "confirm" that I did not want the insurance before they could ship the product (appaarently they wanted something in writing? My verbal ok was just not enough?!?! Vernon then said that I should receive an email "later this afternoon" regarding this shipment and that all I would need to do would be reply to the email. Having wasted a fair amount of time already I grudgingly agreed. TWO FULL DAYS later (today in fact) I had still not received an email regarding my declination of insurance. I called and "Vernon" answered the phone! He stated that "they" whoever "they" are?!?! had not sent they email out. I asked him to explain why and he could not. This company is a sham. You take your business in your hands to order from them. I lost TWO full days on an order for a CUSTOMER. NEVER AGAIN! BEWARE THIS COMPANY! "
"I should have read the reviews first. Bzboyz acted as predicted by the other reviewers. The old bait and switch game - good price on-line; I ordered an ECS XP 2100 combo at a good price. Then they call me up and say there's a problem with the order and there will be a delay unless I "upgrade" to a retail box and better fan and warranty for $26 more. Truely bogus - but I accepted if the package is sent out today. Even at the higher price, it still beats other prices -especially locally. I will report back on the shipping to see if they followed through.
This is evidently a pattern with them."
"I was looking for a Motherboard and CPU combo on pricewatch.com and landed with BZBOYZ aka TUFSHOP aka whatever other name they go by. The orders we're placed -LUCKILY I READ THE DISCLAIMER AT CHECKOUT AND UNTICKED ALL THE XTRAS THEY ADDED ON-. I received a vague call back after the first order whereby the gentleman claimed to call about a problem with my order. Many tries later I finally got someone to pickup the phone and I was told the CPU as such was not available but "he had spoken to the highest manager" and they had the option to make me an offer to buy the same processor for 48$ more. This would include a fan ..." yadda yadda. The person would not let up and I finally told him to just cancel the order and I would shop again for another CPU Motherboard combo.... the same thing happened: a large retail company just bought all our stock but we have another "version" of the same processor yadda yadda....
I cannot prove it but I feel strongly that this was a standard sales tactic: lure you in via PriceWatch and then aggressively corner the consumer over the phone with a carsalesmen approach.
Bad bad bad business if you ask me. Luckily I cancelled both orders but I am carefully watching my CC for charges.
Update: 02/19/2003 there is indeed a memo posting on my Credit Card now from these guys for my cancelled orders. When calling them to make sure the memo posting was taken out I was told simply that they did not do that (although Mastercard confirms it is www.bzboyz.com). I finally had to get really rude and threathen with legal action and a fraud suit in small claims court to get the guys to "take it back to their manager"."
"Don't trust this company! I order 3 things from 3 seperate companies. All 3 were in stock items and ordered on the same day, in the morning. Crucial Memory shipped the order Fedex and it arrived 2 days later. CDR shipped the order 2 day Fedex and it arrived 3 days after ordering. I ordered overnight Fedex from BzBoys for $55.00 and it is 5 days later and not even a tracking number. One email giving order # and telling me a 9 hr delay of orders in the inventory dept. Give me a break. $55 overnight is expensive!"
"What a joke. No communication. No service. Late Delivery, even if paying for express methods.
No method for contact, email not answered, lack of return phone calls.
Not a good experience!"
"I ordered again from them, again, this time, order came faster than i thought, that's one of the good parts. While i was waiting for the parts to come, i was reading postings for this place, not so good, i was getting worried, turns out, everything came, except i think something is missing from the order a fan upgrade, but the original cpu comes with a fan, so i'm not sure if that's what they call the fan. Maybe there's something that i don't know about, but can you sepearate the items in a box to sell? like the cpu and the fan??? i'll call tomrorow to find out, but otherwise, i'm happy the items arrived, now it's a matter of testing the components, check back on this matter soon..."
"My experience with BZBoyZ aka PartsPC.com aka Tufshop.com aka MicroX was PERFECTLY HORRIBLE. My main computer died over two weeks ago, which left me searching for a replacement motherboard on pricewatch.com.
BZBoyz had the best price on the particular model, so of course I bit and proceeded to order. I wish I had spent some more time on the website, especially reading their "mission statement". They call themselves the Warriors of the Internet Wasteland and they "Want to take as many of you with us while saving you monies along the way." It is laughable, an 8-year old child could write in a more professional manner. It is people like this that work for these companies who deserve no rights to citizenship in this country because they cannot properly function in an English-speaking society, much less a business who's main goal should be communication with the customer.
Well, my order process seemed to go without a hitch, aside from having to un-click all the extra options they tack on with your order, essentially trying to make you slip so you order more than you're after.
I immediately received a confirmation e-mail after my order and figured everything would be okay. WRONG. First off, I went back to their website to read their policies page. It was so long that it took me about 20 minutes to get through all of it. Half-way down, they say that if you don't choose their "Platinum Order/Insurance" option you will have to wait 2 TO 3 WEEKS FOR YOUR ORDER TO ARRIVE. My face turned purple.
Well, I waited a week. A second week then passed by, and still no motherboard. I then found out about resellerratings.com and investigated the rest of their site and promptly e-mailed them and told them not to charge my card, and after that I put them and their many aliases on alert with my Credit Union. What did I get after e-mailing them?
Your order has been shipped. Your order has also been canceled.
UM, WHAT? Seriously, these two statements were in one e-mail. At least I know they won't be able to charge my card. These monkeys are so disorganized I wouldn't be surprised if the motherboard arrived here anyway.
SAVE YOURSELVES THE TORMENT AND AVOID THESE FRUITS AT ALL COST !!!
"
"I have a defective CPU. E-mailed them and got a RMA#. They received it 1/23, had it ten days andon 2/3 I called them to find out what was going on. They said it had been tested. That's it. No expectations of when I could expect a replacement. All they wanted to do was send me e-mails delayin my replacement. This is a tactic used for legal reasons. After gettin angry over the phone and several long distance calls to them, they finally said that they would sent a replacement out to me. Waiting......"
"BZBoyz sent me the wrong stick of memory and I had to send it back to them through the RMA process. When they got it, they took over 35% off the price I paid and gave me the rest back as a "refund". After they stole my money, I went through the better business bureau. They won't even respond to them. I've been waiting almost two months since the BBB asked them to resolve this. BZBoyz is the worst company I have ever dealt with. "
"I ordered from them, but they called me back saying they will upgrade my order for free, because teh product i ordered was on backorder, but wasn't free, i saw the total, so i said to cancel my order for now and i'll reorder after i've decided, they went on trying to keep me, but i refused, so they said they will cancel it, but i asked if they should be giving me any numbers, and they didn't respond, they've already hung up, no "bye", "thank you"."
