"I purchased the Epox 8k3a+ motherboard from Bzboyz because of pricewatch. I then found out this site and I began to worry. I did have problems with them. They told me they did not recieve my money order, and after a while, I checked with traveler's express and they did infact cash it. I let them know about this thinking that they might have tried to steal from me. I got a call from them and an apology. I wanted my money back, but decided to give them one last chance. They sent the product FedEx 2 day, it arrived on time and the product appears new and works perfectly. I think they need to improve on keeping records of orders though. Don't know if I will do business again. But they did redeem themselves on this one and I am pleased in the end."
"I had ordered an ECS and athlon 1800XP combo from Bzboyz thinking it was a great idea of saving money. Well next day i get an email giving me 3 possible reasons why there was a complicAtion with the order. First of all you would think they would know the problem right? Anyway it was too late to call them. That night i figured I would look on newegg.com i found a better deal with a better motherboard. Next day I call them up got hung up on the first time. Call them back get through first person askes me the problem tell him my order number get put on hold. Comes back askes me for it again i give it to him. Get forwared to the next person, could barly understand english, tell him my order number get forwared to the next person. Now he tells me that the OEM was out of stock AMD didn't send them a shipment(which I now found out was pure bull), on the web site i believe it said retail, so he tells me you can ether wait for AMD to send them a shipment. I tell him I'd like to cancel he says okay. I sent an email for confermation later that day that it was canceled. It has been well over a day now and i need them to give me the credit back cause I am 14 and I am using Visa Buxx. I sent them a long complait 5 min ago if I don't get my credit back by tonight I am gonna flip!
I was just reading up on bbb.org they have 2 addresses the california one has a clean reacord but their Wisconson one has a bad record i assume they keep the california one clean there were alot of complanits about them you can check it for yourself.

Well i got my money back after a week or so....But don't say your only from CA you also have a weisconson address which was found on BBB site and had a huge list of complaints just telling everyone DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!"
"Sometimes Pricewatch is a mixed blessing, and lately that's what it's been. It seems when looking for a cheap motherboard+CPU combination, the "low price leaders" (EconoPC, Accubyte, and SonicParts to name a few) are running a bait-and-switch scam where you place the order, then they call you back informing you that your OEM processor is out of stock but they can upgrade you to retail for a premium. Of course, ALL of their OEM processors are out of stock, even though the websites will have shown them in stock for months. I guess this is their answer to the inclusion of what used to be overinflated shipping charges.
After canceling my order with the previous two vendors, I decided to order from within CA so I can get my shipment somewhat faster. I figured what the heck, I tried Bzboyz.com. Surprise, surprise, 3 days later I get notified that they were out of stock on the OEM Athlon. Of course the local computer shop down the street has been getting plenty of stock on OEM Athlons, can't be a worldwide shortage on the darn things.
Alright, I wasn't going to cancel my order for the third time. I just decided to bite the $45 bullet and place the order.
On the positive side, I spoke with Kim who was VERY friendly and pleasant on the phone. When I had a question about the new total in e-mail, she responded immediately (within 2 minutes). After having OK'd the upgrade (insert eye roll here), they did ship the items the same day, so my stuff arrived two days later. Wasn't expecting it that fast so that's good. Stuff arrived in working order as expected.
You all seem to like NewEgg, I'll try them next time."
"Purchased a mobo and CPU on a sunday, parts shipped on a Wed which was allright... mobo worked, CPU is bad, went to fill out an RMA when basically what is a 3 page contract is sent to your e-mail to print and sign. I guess they are trying to protect themselves... I'm sure the CPU is bad because everything else equal, I tried a different cpu and my system posted fine... What I didn't like is that for $20 they'll process your RMA in 3 days, otherwise it's 3 weeks.... When something goes wrong, even though it's an AMD part and AMD's fault, I don't understand why they can't just do their best to get EVERYONE'S parts out ASAP. Also, since a CPU is easy to test, and I am allready on my second one, I asked them nicely if they would test it for me for free... I'll keep you guys posted...
**********************************
UPDATE:
**********************************
Since I last wrote I got another AMD XP 2000+, tried it in my system and everything was fine, proof that it wasn't a configuration error. So, I get an e-mail back from bzboyz and sure enough they found nothing wrong with the cpu. They said they would replace the cpu if I paid $5 AND shipping back? ALSO, they want $15 to test a replacement? $15?????? for 45 seconds of effort??? There is no doubt in my mind it's a defective CPU, everybody is slamming these guys for a reason..."
"(I can't be sure of the order date)
I purchased a package deal from BzBoyz - a "Dream System". All I really wanted was the Shuttle AK31 mobo, but I figured that I'd get everything from one manufacturer and save on shipping. If only I had known about this website - I would have never spent my money with these failures.
The case I specified in the online order form was beautiful - 3 3.5" bays, 5 5.25" bays, full tower design. Once I placed my order, it turned out that my debit card wasn't accepted (there was a spending cap placed on it by my bank for my protection). I was called by a customer service rep a week and a half later to verify the debit card number. I ended up calling my bank to have the cap removed, and the order proceeded, but it took a month and a half to get to me.
The rep who assembled my system (Sam) called me two weeks after I placed my order to recommend a different case - the one I chose didn't have good enough internal ventilation, he said, and the case he had in mind would normally cost more, but he'd get it for me at no additional charge.
The case Sam chose for me has no 3.5" bays. I ordered a 3.5" floppy drive and a 3.5" internal Zip drive. The floppy came installed in an adapter, the Zip drive shipped separately (and the Iomegaware CD was broken in shipping, as it is wider than a Zip drive and was placed on top of the drive).
I requested rounded IDE cables for better internal air flow - I got one, not three (primary, master, floppy).
Because my Zip drive couldn't be installed (remember, ZERO 3.5" bays in this BETTER case), the DVD drive I chose was slaved to the HDD, and the CDRW was the secondary master. The DVD and CDRW shared a power cable.
The ATAPI audio cable on the CDRW was obviously broken - one of the wires had pulled free.
I called BzBoyz with my complaints, and the woman I spoke to on the main contact number didn't care about my problems - there was an emergency at BzBoyz (including an ambulence), and she asked me to call back. Understandable - I called back.
I was told when I called back that RMA's couldn't be done over the phone - I would have to spend my own time online filling out a form. Turns out, however, that if you have problems with a case, monitor, or complete system, you have to e-mail BzBoyz and have them call you back. I did this.
I was called back July 2nd by Raj, who told me that to return everything there would be a 15% restocking fee (comes out to about $200). Raj wouldn't do anything, though, because Sam was the rep who assembled the system. He couldn't tell Sam when to call me back, because Sam wasn't in right then, but promised that he'd have Sam call me back. Today is July 8th, and I haven't gotten a call back from Sam. BzBoyz failed me as a customer - hopefully I'll be able to get parts replaced and have a system that works - the motherboard died on me last week."
"LET'S SEE IF THEY ARE TRYING TO DO BETTER, OK? Bought an Asus P4s533 motherboard that arrived DOA. I have RMA'd it the next day after receiving it (July 6)and will come back here and post complete details of this transaction... happy or angry... either way.
UPDATE: Well they can't find anything wrong as of Friday, July 12th but will continue testing...OR pay them $5 plus shipping and they will stop checking and replace the motherboard. I have notified them this is not acceptable. I will post again when this progresses. You have to wonder, don't you?
WELL THE FINAL STRAW... Friday, July 19th I called VISA and asked them to proceed with a charge back for the full amount, including shipping. Why? Try this... First they shipped me used and defective merchandise. Then, just like other comments posted here, they offered to "stop the RMA process" and ship me a replacement if I would pay them $5 plus shipping. Then, after I refused, they tried to credit my VISA less a restocking fee. I objected to paying for used and defective stuff. Next they asked if I wanted a replacement. Huh? I gave up. BE CAREFULLLLL... these folks are not wired right. Thanks to PRICEWATCH.COM for this lead. I have already told them. Do somebody a favor and let them know, too if you got to BZBOYZ via Pricewatch.
THE BOTTOM LINE: Well, VISA is going after the full amount, including shipping. I responded to one phone call from Raj at BZBOYZ and he offered a refund for the motherboard only. A month ago, I'd have agreed, but not now. VISA says they will get it all, so I said go get 'em. Never again! Recommend BZBOYZ as a tip to your competitors & enemies. Newegg or Mwave are my choices.
THE LAST STRAW: Today, September 26, I received a note that BzBoyz is contesting the charge back already issued. Their faxed memo to the bank is pure fiction and I have documentation to prove it from prior emails. Incredibly, they lied about every step of the RMA process. Amazing. THESE PEOPLE ARE DISHONEST... STAY AWAY!!!"
"What you think you're getting by the description online and on the invoice is not what you do get. They are pretty fast in service, but they never respond to your emails when you have issues/questions. I paid 51.21 extra to get a better fan and "Additional 3 years warranty" but I received an oem processor and no paperwork for any "3 years warranty". When I emailed them to ask about this, they never replied to any of the emails (even the email to management). Also, I had paid the 9.99 to test products before shipping and they "forgot" to put the faceplate back in my mobo box. Minor irritations, but they simple fact that they NEVER RESPOND TO YOUR EMAILS makes me never want to order from them again."
"DO NOT BUY FROM BZBOYZ
My stories long so ill cut it down a bit. I bought a asus a7v133 and a xp processor combo. The motherboard was dead on arrival (the cpu worked, i tried it in my other comp). They said i did it. After agruing they said they would replace it for $40 i said fine. I recieved the new one and it worked for a couple hours (i swear it was used) I told them the problem and they said send it back. I did and didnt hear from them for a month. So i put up a complaint on pricewatch.com on them (since its been 5 months since they originaly took my money and still no board)Thats when they finally contacted me and told me the never recieved even though fed ex said they signed for it. From what i can see they are crooks. If they do ever compensate me the complaint will be removed. i am out $190 for the board and rma costs BEWARE "
"Ok, these guys are HORRIBLE!!! DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!!! I ordered a MOBO in early April, was defective upon receipt. Sent it back. they sent me back the same NOBO and charged me $20 for an RMA fee. Sent back again. They then tell me that my MOBO is on back order. It is May 31, and my order is still not straight. Absolutely NEVER order from BzBoyz.com!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"This product (Mobo/CPU/fan) arrived DOA, after waiting an extra week for them to confirm "cost" price - I paid extra for 3 day shipping. I RMA'd it and was told that they "tested" it and found nothing wrong. I paid shipping for an "exchange/replacement" and received the same DOA CPU they sent the first time. If I pay shiping on another RMA and shipping to receive another "replacement" I will nearly equal the price of the CPU at local retail. I'm looking into filing a complaint with California Attorney General and the United States District Court - they violated their own RMA policy - for internet and credit card related fraud. I will NEVER buy from them again, and I will warn evryone I know to avoid them."
"Quite possibly the worst company I have attempted to do business with. I ordered last thursday. it is now wednesday and my order has still not shipped. i called last night and it the agent said it was scheduled to ship last night. i called again today and they lost my order. after waiting for about 3 hours to be called back (instead of the 10-15 minutes they told me), i got a message saying the found it but it had not shipped and for more money, they could ship it out today. i simply cancelled and chose another company. this company has a low rating for a reason. i hope you read these ratings before doing business (or not doing rather) with this company. AVOID BZBOYZ"
"My personal advice: stay away!
Something very sketchy happened to me when trying to order with this company. It's a long story, and I've tried to type it up with as much detail as possible. You can find it here:

"bought a power supply and hard drive from bzboyz, no troubles.
"
" Now I understand what all the bad comments are about. This company has a severe communication problem. Once you place your order they drop off the edge of the earth never to be heard from again. Now comes the detective work when you try to find out through your credit card company how bad you've been hurt. It never ceases to amaze me how people feel they have something to gain by treating there customers like dirt by ignoring their requests for information."
"This company claims that their merchandise is factory fresh. My mobo combo arrived with an obviously retaped and reused box, handwriting inside the manual and a socket fan mount broken off.
I also ordered a hard drive that was DOA. I spent a lot of time proving to myself the drive was bad before RMAing. I recieved an email saying "initial results show no problems" with options to continue testing (risking $35 testing fee+) or pay for extra for immediate replacement. I don't trust these guys to determine if hardware is bad, especially when every option results in more money in their pockets. This company is rotten to the core. Buyer beware!"
