"After going through 4 Kindles in less than a year, 3 of which were defective (I'm reserving my opinion about number 4), I decided to buy a Nook. There was a slight learning curve, but overall I am very pleased with the Nook. Even though I bought their cheapest model, it includes the ability to use my own pictures (eg, my grandson) for a custom screensaver; it accepts up to a 32 GB micro SD card for storing as many as 32,000 additional books, or music, pictures, etc.; and it DOESN'T have any of those annoying pictures of dead authors, pencils, abstract art, etc, Kindle is famous for. I also find it to be easier to navigate than my Kindles. My only complaint is, my sister has a Nook, and I always had a Kindle. We would argue over which was better. Now I'm going to have to concede that she was right!"
