"I purchased a Sony Cybershot DSC-H1 from this company after finding them on "froogle.com." The price was astoundingly low, which made me a little nervous about trusting this company to actually deliver the camera. So, I decided to call the company to put my fears to rest. After a 10-minute hold, someone came on the line, and looked up my order number. He said I needed to talk to Steve at Ext 232, because my order was "not verified or confirmed" (meaning "the salesman hasn't tried to sell you our overpriced accessories"). So he transfered me over, and Steve again verified my basic order info. Then, Steve proceeded to try to sell me some batteries, and I said "For what?" He said, "This camera is not solar powered!" After he tried to sell me a few more accessories, he finally said, "You order will ship in 48 hours, you will receive the order in 4 to 6 WEEKS!" This thing must be going to the manufacturing plant in China for a final inspection! Well, I wanted this camera before Christmas, so I decided to cancel the order. Unbelievably, he didn't give me any hassle about cancelling, he just said that it was "done." I later realized that the order was cancelled the minute I said that I didn't want any accessories. They are selling the actual camera at cost and making up the difference on the extras! I am SOOO glad I found resellerratings.com so I didn't have to waste my time waiting for a camera that was NEVER going to get to me in the first place! I continued to shop for this camera on froogle.com, and found out that BestPriceCameras.com is the same store as Infiniti Photo, which has horrible merchant ratings (bestpricecameras.com has NO ratings as of yet)."
"BestPriceCameras.com listed the Panisonic PV GS400 for $789.00 USA dollars & states the camera is "New from Factory". Then they asked me which "Battery+Charger" I wanted and I told them I didn't want their $400.00 Battery+Charger and I just wanted to order the camera......They said good bye and hung-up.
I don't think buying anything from this company would be wise and agree with most other reviews on this great site. I'm glade I found you."
"It's all true.
Some of the comments made by other posters seemed a little too over the top for me to believe, so I figured I'd give it a shot and see if the prices were too good to be true.
They were.
Found a great deal on a Konica Minolta Dimage Z6 for about $40 less than other competitors, placed my order and received the phone call to "confirm" my order about an hour later. They didn't seem too pushy on selling me extras, although they did try. And, I was put on hold twice during the 5 minute conversation. I was assured I would receive my camera within 7 days at the end of the phone call.
Received an E-mail the next day saying the camera is "Backordered" even though the website clearly indicates the item was in stock at the time.
My advice to you: "Don't waste your time with this merchant"."
"Horrible STORE. Ordered a Sony camcorder with this store. Next day, received a call that I need to purchase a battery and a charger. They did not give me a total and hung up. The cost of the camcorder I ordered was 419$. When I checked my card account later that evening, I was charged 600$. I called them the next day. I had to leave a message the first time on the answering machine. next time I called no answer. I called the customer service number instead. I started speaking and was cut off by the answer "CALL BACK AFTER 30 MINUTES" and the line went dead.
I called after an hour and finally got through that extension. I aws asked for my order number and was told " you have called 4 times already. I did not know you would be such a headache. I shouldn't have sold the product to you. You can return the product when it ships to you". Line went DEAD. I could not say ANYTHING at all.
I got a mail saying "product shipped and tracking number will be sent after 6:30pm ET that day. No tracking number, no mails so far.
It apprears like a HUGE SCAM. Looking at all the reviews, I feel I have been caught up in some scam.
Product was delivered after 20 days and I was charged 2 day shipping. The invoice quotes a different billing scheme all together. The product had an offer of a free tripod which never showed up. No reposnse to emails.
It is all a huge SCAM!!!!"
"Well, after reading all of the preceeding reviews, I feel as if I've dodged a bullet....or have I?
I responded to an online pricing site that showed a v-e-r-y low price for a Nikon D70s. I quickly found that they 'stripped' the OEM boxes and sell the items piece-meal, so the price did not include any lens, which IS included in the aforementioned KIT. They tried to overload me with accessories at outragious prices, but KNOWING THE VALUE of the individual items, we worked through it. I feel I got a reasonable price for what I agreed to buy, which included an extended warranty which, based on my calcs, I may have paid $30 bucks for.
As for delivery and communication, I didn't receive a tracking number e-mail until I called for it and the item wasn't shipped when promised, but did ship 2 days later. They blamed the delay in intervening holidays, which was a fact (a Jewish holiday bisected the transaction).... once shipped, I receieved the merchandise AS ORDERED, I'M A HAPPY CAMPER!"
"Absolutely the biggest bunch of crooks I have come accross in a long time! I placed an order (Samsung 67" DLP TV) on their website. Provided a credit card number.
The following day I was called (Vic x202) to tell me the price is $250.00 higher as they forgot to include insurance (the websites price clearly noted it included shipping, tax, insurance).
Furthermore the salesperson tells me that even if you do order this, at this price, it will never get shipped, as the company likes to hold this as long as possible, in order to try to get more money. The only way it would be shipped was to pay about $500.00 more! (I have this on tape!)
I called his supervisor (Scott 2005) who not only confirmed this practice (also on tape) but he also tells me that what is actually shipped has no warranty, is shipped in a non-factory box without any manuals or peripherals (also not what the website tells you!
This company should be put out of business. I can see from the ratings around here how much problems others have had. They even had the balls to charge my credit card! (I quickly had this reversed.
WARNING DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!"
"This is the worst online transaction I have ever been involved with. Period. Nothing comes close.
After my dealing, I did the research and found this. Everything everyone else said is true. I told them I wanted to cancel the order and they said they would charge me 10% to cancel, even before they had put in the order to the CC company, which is clearly illegal. It is unbelieveable that this company is allowed to do business.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH BESTPRICECAMERAS.COM. YOU WILL BE RIPPED OFF AND WISH YOU HAD NEVER CALLED THEM.
I wrote Cnet, Sony and a half dozen other companies and sites about this experience. Buy anywhere else."
"WARNING: DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS SCAM OPERATION!
Why can't the law enforcement shut this place down? They advertise on their website about low prices and call you the next day to make you buy a battery or whatever they feel like selling that day at insane prices.
They tell you you have to buy these accessories to buy the product you ordered. These accessories should have been included with the retail box! So in the end I bought a Panasonic GS-250 camcorder at over $250.00 more than the original price! They also tell you that they will upgrade your shipping, and get it late anyway. UNITE! AND HAVE THESE PEOPLE ARRESTED!"
"I got ripped off big-time by these guys. I thought I was paying $1400 for a Canon GL2 but when I found out I was charged $2490 and tried to cancel the order they refused. Fortunately they sent it to my old address and the new residents declined to sign for the package so it is on the way back to them. I called my credit card co. and they said I was actually charged twice in this ammount! So I'm getting a new card and protesting these charges. Even if they did cancel the order and I had to pay the "re-stocking fee" of 10% of the order price, I would still be making money back buying this same model from a legitimate retailer or on eBay.
Also, I discovered a website with a picture of their storefront and a list of aliases:

"I ordered a TV from this vendor and the Television was delayed in shipping, however I was never told. I called after the delay and was told there was another delay, but again I was never informed. No email, no telephone call. When I cancelled the order I was informed that they were loosing money on this, which as a customer I should never be told, it was a fight to get the order cancelled."
"Beware! The old Bait and switch. If it looks too good to be true.. it probably is. Ordered a new Sony HVR-A1U (High Definition camcorder) for the remarkable price of $1999. To their credit, that beats the price of most competitors by $300-$700. Unfortunately, it's bull. They call back the next day trying like heck to get me to buy a special package of overpriced peripherals for another $1200. When I refuse, they inform me that my camera does not include the LENS. I'm a professional, I look for these things. It was definitely not mentioned on their website. Their final offer was $2799 for the WHOLE camera. I declined and said I would rather wait. He politely said, "Go ahead and wait then," before hanging up. It'll be a COLD day before I buy from those jerks. "
"BAD.........Don't ever buy it from these guys. Hell would have better rating than they are. I order the camera, and is waiting for the thing to be ship out. For couple days I am waiting, no tracking email send to me. On friday, I call and ask, they tried to sell me extra memory card, I said I will think about it, but if I don't call back, ship the camera to me. The sales people put my order on HOLD!!! (Thank God he did that.)
The following Monday, I called and ask for the status, the CS-customer support (It seems like there are a few of them passing the phone around for fun and then hang up on you. I had to called back couple times) told me that my order was put on hold by the last sales, reason = waiting to order extra memory (to be another soccer). I told him, just ship it. The CS then told me that my camera will be ship from Japan, and will take 4-5 weeks to get to US, then they will email me the UPS tracking number when they are ready to ship it to me. I was shock by the news!!! I told the CS that I am thinking about canceling the order. Then, I paused no more than 5 seconds I promised. The CS keep pushing on the phone and keep repeat over and over again on the phone and said: “Order” or “Cancel”… Finally, I told him to cancel my order. Then, he said “Fine, it’s cancel.”, and hangs up on me.
I was not please, however I feel I am powerless about my situation until I found this site. After reading others experience with this vender, I guest I am still luckier than all of the people they really screw with. The price is nothing the first thing I am looking for anymore. I am willing to pay extra money for better service and attitude with other place from now.

"After waiting 8 days for a camera I purchased, I called, they hadnt shipped it, but said they had it in stock and would ship it in a few days. I didnt want to wait, canceled the order, then noticed they had dropped the price further. Called back to reorder, and they said they didnt have any in stock, and wouldnt for 4-6 weeks. When I asked why they dropped the price on something they cant even sell, they hung up on me."
"Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
I will never buy anything from this company again. I’m pretty sure my story tops all the others on this list because I actually went through with the purchase and received the Canon 20D digital camera that I ordered almost a month ago.
Yes, it is a scam – as all the others have reported. The price includes no accessories, which they charge you an arm and a leg for individually. My $995 camera quickly became $1590 once it was all said and done. They charged $200 for the charger. Another $275 for a battery. (The same exact battery is available for less than $50 from Amazon.) But, my favorite: $120 for SHIPPING!
They are rude. They insist they have the best prices, but far from. I argued with the guy (Chris) over the phone before the product even shipped that the accessory prices seemed out of line but he assured me they were the lowest I’d ever find. Having not researched this myself and being in a frantic to catch an airplane I made the mistake of saying “whatever” and going through with the order. I knew I wasn’t getting a deal but figured I’d at least break-even. I was wrong.
Had I ordered this camera from Amazon, same product with same accessories, I would have saved $290 (including the $100 manufacturer’s rebate that was offered with that offering) relative to this purchase. And, I would have had it likely within 10 days of ordering it and it would have been a much more pleasant experience.
To return this product, they say the shipping charges are non-refundable plus there is a 10% restocking fee. So, I can pay them $267 for nothing and defer using my camera for another three weeks (not to mention the headache involved). For a net gain of $23, I think I’ll pass. Nice work bestpricecameras, I’m sure most of your customers come to the same conclusion – you seem to have your bases covered. I wish my time was less valuable or I’d go on a mission from God to track you down.
Needless to say, avoid this reseller like the plague! Buyer beware…

"I just canceled my order with bestpricecameras.com via email and fax.
My web order for a Nikon D50 kit was placed on October 15th. When I received no confirmation after submitting my web order, I called and emailed their customer service department. I took the time to make 3 phone calls, write 3 emails and leave 2 voice messages. There was an issue with my ship to and billing address. (PO Box vs physical address). I took care of this issue in less than 10 min on the morning of Monday October 17th and sent email and left voice mail that I had done so. On Friday, October 21st I called asking if all was well with my order.
I kept all of my communications non demanding and very respectful. In my last conversation with their representative on October 21st, I was told my order would ship that day. The represenative offered to sell me additional items.
Imagine my surprise when I was later emailed the following. “Thank you for your order with www.bestpricecameras. Currently, the unit you order is on backorder. Next delivery date is within 6-8 weeks. We apologize for any inconvience. You were not billed for the order. Please advice. Thank you”
After I emailed and faxed my cancellation I placed an order for a Nikon D50 w/18-70mm & 12-24mm lenses with Eldar at http://www.ephotocraft.com/. What a relief and great experience to finally receive very professional service.
Kind Regards,
HiloJohn"
