"I was totally scammed. Thought I was getting a good deal on a camera for $660. Sold me a $160 battery. Lied about upgrade price to package deal. Charged my credit card $75 more than quoted price. Promised next day shipment but have not received in a week. Said package deal gave extra warranty and free camera case but did not. Do not order from these crooks. "
"WORST STORE ONLINE!
Three Months Later! No Product!
Don't waste your time. The only way they can offer you these great prices is by making you call them after you order and adding on an item you don't need. It's usually a "power supply" that they say is required for operation of the device. They will also try and sell you extended product warranties, and Speedy shipping (otherwise they say they'll ship in 6 to 8 weeks. It's been 3 months and I still don't have my order). They Want You To Cancel. If you don't buy the additional power supply, or warranty, or fast-shipping then they don't make any money cause their prices are so low. They will tell you that their computers are down, or the product is on backorder, or anything else to get you to cancel.
They are very pushy and unprofessional."
"I ordered a Canon camera (body only), a lens, and a flash for an online store I'm developing, which cost a lot and which I had to save up for. I researched a lot of stores and narrowed it down to this one because the price was the best even with their inflated shipping costs. I made the purchase at night. I got an email that said that to expedite order processing, please call our 1-800 number. So, the next morning, I called, and a fast-talking salesman with a NY accent said that the camera doesn't come with battery and asked if I wanted a 2-hour or 4-hour battery. I was pretty sure it came with a battery and was trying to look up what was included while he was talking. Then he mentioned that you have to buy the charger separately. Both of those are supplied in the box by Canon. Then he suggested buying filters, and I never buy anything until I research it, so I told him to email me all this information and not to complete the invoice. I didn't receive an email after a while, so I decided to research the merchant and came to this site. I noticed that people had the same problem I had about paying extra for things that come in the box. The price of the camera was low already, but I didn't want to have to choose what was in the box. I saw many people warn me to stay away from this store. So, I called up bestpricecameras.com and cancelled my order. I asked for a confirmation email and got a one-line email that said that the order was cancelled by the customer. I just bought the merchandise from another merchant, which costed more, but I have peace of mind that everything will arrive, will include everything in the boxes, and will contain warranties. Also, the shipping cost was not inflated with the merchant I switched to."
"I placed an order for a Panasonic PT-AE900 projector. I was assured it was in stock. After I ordered it, I was offered various extended warranty packages, which I refused until I was offered a 4 year parts & labor and free light bulb replacement. I bought that for an extra $250. I was then offered (for an addition $129.00) another year of warranty (5 years total) and I was told the projector light bulb would be installed in the projector. I turned down that offer. The next day, I called up to confirm the shipment, and was told the only Panasonic PT-AE900 projector in stock was a "retail package" which came with the 5 year warranty and the light bulb would be installed, for an additional $129. I've never heard of Panasonic shipping projectors without the light bulb installed. Sounds fishy to me. Needless to say, is a scam. I cancelled the order and placed it with another vendor. Who would guess that the new projector came with the bulb installed at no extra charge????? Bestpricecamera is a scammer, runs bait and switch, and lies about the products. I will NEVER try to buy from them again."
"This company is running a "bait and switch" scam for any buyers who are lured by their "incredible" low prices on camera and other electronic products and accessories. Here's how it works:
Your camera will not arrive in a timely manner so you will be forced to call the company. When you call to find out where your order is..........that is if you can get through to a real person, they will "sell" you accessories for extremely inflated prices and will triple your shipping. All this without your knowledge until your camera shows up with the outrageous charges applied to your credit card. In my case it was a battery that comes packaged with the camera body from the manufacturer for a whopping $499.00. They then proceeded to triple the shipping for an additional $69+. When you call to dispute the charges, you will spend hours trying to speak with someone and will get shuffled about, all meant to discourage you from spending your time pursuing your rightful claim.
Dennis at Best Buy Cameras openly admitted to me that their business practices are illegal but that they have no intention to change them. Most people are unwilling to pursue legal action because it is a major hassle and takes a lot of time. I am not one of those people. I believe in honest business practices and think those that conduct business in an illegal, unethical or less than honest manner, need to be held accountable. If everyone ignores this kind of illegal activity then nothing is ever done about it and more people become victims. Pass the word! You can read more about this and other fraudulent activity occurring on my website at http://www.gethagraphics.com/buyer_beware.htm Several companies in Brooklyn, New York are running similar scams so check your vendor carefully.

"I'd just like to add my experience to the flood of dissatisfied "customers" (but are you really a customer if you never end up getting what you ordered?) of Best Price Cameras. These guys are such jerks, liars, and all-around obnoxious a**holes that, after getting jacked around by them (for two months in my case) and then getting - again - one of their despicable "customer service" bums abusing you on the phone, you just want to fly to New York to bust some heads. Seriously, these guys are toxic. There should be some way that they could be forced off the Internet or, better yet, tossed in the slammer for fraud. I suppose there is, but who's going to bother? Encourage others to check sites like this first when shopping online. If I'd done that I never would have ordered from these guys."
"I also received the email to confirm my order. I am glad they did, because talking to the rep, I was told that this order would take 4-6 weeks. I was also told that there was no warranty, and I would need to purchase one. The "US Warranty" they advertise is a 7 day store warranty. The rep could not confirm that the product I was buying was not an import. He offered to cancel the order, and when I concurred that we cancel the order, I heard a click and that was it...
Gonna watch that credit card statement now...

"I didn't know about this website until after I was already in the traps of this company. I definately plan to check this site out before I ever buy anything on the web again.
I wanted the Canon Optura 60 MiniDV Camera. They had the price listed as $499. I had printed a $100 Mail In Rebate from the Canon website and thought I was really getting a deal.
The price that is listed on their site and on your order confirmation is the price after the rebate. That fact is buried in their policies page, but not found on the product's page. So, BEWARE OF THAT!
I cancelled my order on the phone this morning (because it says that you can't do it via email). I've asked for an emailing confirming the cancellation, but havne't received one. I'm scared that they are going to charge my card anyway. I've read these other reviews about a cancellation fee, but didn't see any mention of it in their policies. Don't think I won't be disputing any charges that show up on my card from this place!
Don't deal with them... and ALWAYS read the policies page before you order from any company online!!!"
"Read the comments below, since they are all true. These guys are con artists and they all have come from the same "school" of scam. After you realize what you got in your box, and having an "a ha" experience of being taken, contacting customer service it almost impossible. If you are persistent, then you are hung out to dry with machine-gun style delivered, hehearsed verbiage from guys with attitudes that tell you that you are too stupid to understand normal commerce. They are not "customer service," they are "customer browbeaters." Very rude, and fast talking con guys, all from Brooklyn. (Sorry Brooklyn!)
They are dishonest. All the things that you read below are what they did to me too. I wish I had come here first. I'm a pro and should have known better. I ordered a very expensive Nikon SRL body.
Items that should have come with the products were removed and charged as extras at 4 times the price. "Insurance" (even if you don't want it) is %10 percent of the sale price (no documentation), No itemized packing list (since they sold you stuff that was included anyway!).
JJUST STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS!"
"Worst seller on the internet. Horrible customer service. They sent me the wrong items and it takes over 30 minutes to get a service rep. on line. Don't order from them."
"Stay away from this company. Terrible customer service. Hidden costs. Don't waste your time."
"I found this rating site and I wish I had seen it before I ordered from these bait and switch artists. My wife ordered a digital SLR camera for our daughter for Christmas at $829. It never came. When she inquired a few days before Christmas they said they hadn't shipped yet because they thought she might want the battery and a charger. We thought we were getting a complete kit with all sorts of "extras". They then shipped, without our permission the camera and tried to charge us $1350. Unbelievable. We didn't accept the shipment and called our credit card company. Thank God the credit card companies are good guys when it comes to this and they agreed with us. Best Price Cameras should be remamed Worst Case Nightmares. Never, but Never buy from this place. They are bad news. Don't bother to call them after you order they have managed to creat the most user unfriendly customer service department in the world. You will never talk to anyone the least bit helpful, only jerks designed to wear the unwary and weak down, hoping you will just pay. Stay away."
"This is a dishonest store. I ordered a Minolta Maxxum 5D camera body for the advertised price of $399 and got an order confirmation number. When I called customer service about this order they told me that they will not ship this item unless I buy also a battery pack at an inflated price. I lodged a complaint with the New York BBB"
"What a horrible company to deal with. My wife wanted to suprise me for Christmas by purchasing me the Fuji S9000 that I had been looking at. Unfortunately, she got trapped by the Wolf in Sheeps clothing that is Bestpricecameras.com. If I would have known she had intended on getting me a camera, I would have helped do the research necessary to find a reputable organization to purchase from. She got the typical high pressure sales pitch like everyone else, etc etc....but the part that really chaps me is that 7 days after opening the box, the camera malfunctioned with a FOCUS ERROR message. We both spent hours (literally) trying to contact someone in the Cust svc dept, she was hung up on once and I was hung up on twice, witha comment made stating "it's not our F*****G problem, contact Fuji". I was promised a call back from a manager....yeah right. If the camera were even just a couple of months old, I wouldn't have as much of an issue, but 7 days cmon. ANY store I can think of would gladly exchange the product to provide Customer Service. Now I have to wait for Fuji 8-10 weeks barring any parts availability issues. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS OUTFIT, ESPECIALLY THEIR LINE OF BS."
"Great transaction. Fast email response & shipment !! Customer Service is responsive and professional.
Product (Panasonnic camcorder) received in double-box. Decent price & options. I would recommend & do business again with Profeel.com."
