"Placed an order for a pair of boots for my 9 year olds first National Horse Show. After almost a week not hearing anything confirming shipment I called to check on the order. I was told they were contacting the manufacturer and would get back to me. Waited another week not hearing anything and called again to check. Was told they would ship the next day and put on 2 day air to make sure I get it. Well, no go. Next day I get an email saying they were on backorder and I wouldn't get them for another 2-3 weeks!! UMMMMM... why didn't you say that when I first called?????? FYI- They are a sister company to SHEPPLERS that did the EXACT SAME THING! I thought I was smart and covering for if something didn't make it in time for the show. Nope! STAY AWAY FROM BOTH BOOTBARN & SHEPPLERS!!"
"Such poor customer service I took my daughter in to buy boots for her birthday on her birthday. I told the worker this so he knew it
First of all there were no boots in women's that for her so we looked in the men's section and found 1 pair that for her in a 8.5 w. But they were 250 so he suggested we do the text to discount to save 15 percent. So I did but he said I had to wait a week or so to get the discount. After he knew it was her birthday. So after I said can't you give the discount now he said no
So we left. I callled the corporate office and they said they would give us the price so I have them the exact boot and they said oh we can't sell that over the phone but I will see if upper management wants to call me to help resolve. See if they want to???
Then she said I promise someone will call you today. I laughed knowing I would t get a call and sure enough no call.
This place is a joke. They lost business not just one sale. But any future western wear my daughter decides to buy she will certainly not go to boot barn!!! "
"Absolutely horrible customer service. Ridiculous shipping times. Contradicting employees that have no clue what they're talking about. Incorrect order. Horrible horrible place to buy anything from! "
"Let me start off by saying this is the first review I have ever done in 46 years. Im not one to complain about anything but I feel so strongly about this that I felt the need to warn others. By the looks of the reviews Im not alone. I went into the Chattanooga Tn store looking for a pair of boots for my sons upcoming birthday . I was impressed by the store, selection, and sales lady. I found the boots I wanted but they didn't have the size I needed. I stated I would just order them online and the sales lady suggested she could look at their other stores. I wasn't sure if they got a commission or not and she had been so nice I said ok. She came back and said the Brentwood Tn store had them. This is a little over two hours away. I told her I wasn't sure as I needed them asap. She called the Brentwood store and they ensured her they would ship them out the next morning. Ive been in the retail and transportation business for over 20 years and I knew it would take one day transit if they shipped them on Wed morning as stated and I didn't need them until Saturday. I called on Thursday evening to check to see if they had come in. The person I spoke with didn't see them so they called the Brentwood store and was told that they hadn't shipped them yet. Now I was in a dilemma as my sons birthday was Saturday. I called the Chattanooga store back within a couple of minutes and spoke with the store manager. I explained I needed them Saturday and they need to overnight them to me as they were supposed to have been shipped on Wed morning. He called the Brentwood store back and spoke with the store manager who evidently refused to do this. The Chattanooga store manager called me back and explained that they had already been shipped and they couldn't change it which I felt was a lie as they hadn't been shipped 5 minutes before. I asked for the tracking number if they had already been shipped and he said they couldn't give it to me. I stated that I had already paid for the boots so therefore I need the tracking number. It became evident they boots more than likely hadn't been shipped yet they just didn't want to help me and correct their error so they stated they had been shipped already. Then the store manager said they don't deliver on the weekend anyway, lol. Everyone knows this isn't true so when I told him that he said, "well, we don't receive on the weekend". The boots could have simply been overnighted to my house and my son would have had his boots on his birthday like I had planned. The store chose to not eat the cost of overnight shipping over meeting their commitment. I pushed my sons birthday party out to Monday night at the last minute causing everyone to change their plans so that I could give him his boots. I waited until Monday and was called by the store telling me the boots were in. I was in a better mood and thought everything would be ok. I drove across town on my lunch break to pick them up so I would have them to give him a few hours later and lo and behold they set them on the counter with no box and right off the bat I was shocked. There were 6-7 scratches and gouges on the left boot and a couple on the right. I was dumbfounded. Im not talking about blemishes or streaks that could be rubbed out. Im talking about gouges that looked like they were intentional. I can only assume the store manager in Brentwood did it intentionally as I had emailed their home office voicing my displeasure. There is no way anyone in their right mind would have tried to sell these as new boots and there is no way anyone would think this was acceptable. I immediately asked for my money back. I didn't have time to go buy my son anything else as I had to go back to work. I emailed pictures to their district manager yesterday but have yet to hear back. I emailed again today asking for the regional managers contact info. We will see if they value their customers at all or will simply ignore me. I wish there was a way to post pictures on here , it was ridiculous and by far the worst experience Ive ever had in a retail transaction. Follow Up 8-17.. after emailing the district manager and sending pictures of the boots he replied, "I will help you return them". He evidently had forgotten the other conversations we had regarding these boots. I explained to him that I didn't need help returning them as I never left the store with the piece of junk boots they were trying to pass off as new. Not only did I waste my time reschedule my sons birthday but then I showed up to the rescheduled birthday dinner without a gift. I included his boss the regional manager on my email and neither have yet to respond. This is the worst shopping experience I have ever had in my entire life. If I treated my customers like this I would be fired. I will keep escalating my complaints up their corporate ladder. Update 8/31/17. After emailing the district manager and getting no help I then followed up with an email to the regional manager again with no help. This company is a complete joke and does not value their customers. "
"Ordered a barn coat in XL. When the coat arrived the inside tag said it was a XXL but paper tag on zipper said XL. Coat was way to big for me. Contacted customer service by email but they never got back with me. Phoned customer service and explained to them the problem and they took my order number and said they would investigate. Customer service got back with me a week later and said to send the coat back using the return label in the original package( there was no return label in original package). They sent me a return label and I shipped the coat back to them. Customer service said to wait until transaction put the money back on my card before purchasing again. Found out that Boot Barn charged me a $10 restocking fee for a product that was mismarked on their end. So I contacted customer service again 3 weeks ago and have never heard back from them. My family has bought quite a bit over the years from Boot Barn but I will now never buy anything from them in the future. The $10 restocking fee is not a lot of money, but it goes to show you that there is truly no Customer Service at the online store, and it's obvious that anyone that is in a management position to oversee customer service does not care about the true customers out there. Unfortunately I was forced to pick one star for the review, but if I had my choice I would not have even given them even one star."
" I ordered my boots on the 17th a Friday, shipped on the 22nd only three business days after. I got a e-mail receipt on the 17th and a tracking number ion the 22nd which I can see it is moving my way.
I got my boots on the 27th, right size, look great, everything went quickly given I live in NC and they were coming from CA. Great and easy buy online. "
"I bought a pair of Ariat Fatbaby boots about 8 months ago and they hurt my feet, so I went back to boot barn and bought a pair of Justin Gypsy (which I already owned and wore them out) and after wearing them for a couple of days I noticed the right boot has something hard coming down on the top of my foot and my foot hurts so bad that I can't wear my new boots to work. The left boot is perfectly fine. I checked into bringing them back, but without tags on the boots and the boots have to be scuff free. They have a 60 day return policy as well. They say to walk only on carpet until you make sure you like them. How can you tell how they are going to fit and feel comfortable until you actually wear them in a normal condition. And by the way, inside the store the customer service has horrible. I could not find any help and I had to walk the store in hopes of finding an employee. The employee I finally found had regular clothing on, no name tag to identify that he worked there and he was chewing on a straw or something. Very unprofessional and not at all friendly or helpful.
I will not ever shop there again because 2 sets of boots and money wasted. I would rather pay a hell of a lot more money elsewhere to get a better quality boot and service. One more thing, why don't boot barn sell you boots from the back that are boxed. Every boot Store that I go to always goes to the back and they bring you a brand new pair of boots that are boxed up and has never been worn by anyone else. Why does boot barn put all there boots loose on the shelf so customers can mix up the boots and the sizes because while I was in the store I seen a pair of boots reduced to 40 dollars and when I looked at then they were 2 different sizes and the tag read, "mix matched sizes". Come on, how are you going to wear a 7 1/2 on one foot and a 9 on the other? Go figure!!
"
"I bought a pair of double H boots from boot barn. They turned out to be squeaky so I returned them. Customer service was not at all helpful when trying to receive my refund for the boots, and sent the refund to an old credit card that. I longer exists. Long story short, I've spent hours on the phone with their customer service trying to get my money for the past month, and I have still not received the refund, or replacement boots. I shopped at boot barn a lot in the past, but plan on bringing my business elsewhere after this experience. "
"Horrible tried to place order 5 freaking times!!! Kept saying card info is incorrect but charged my card each time and I still didn't get the winona fringe uggs!!! NEVER EVER AGAIN SCAMMERS!"
"As much as I'm paying for some cowboy boots and expedited shipping, my **** will not be here until after Christmas and thats still a maybe, the customer service girl was nonchalant, she could care less about a customer only a paycheck, I could have gotten more information out of a two year old. I should have looked at the reviews before spending my money with this stupid **** company, I hope my refund process goes quick so I can be done and go with a company that gives a **** about its customer's"
"The only reason I gave this a 1 star is because I had to mark something. I went into the store and they didn't have the pair of boots in my size, but the salesperson said "I can order them for you". I called customer service and asked if my shipping address could be changed and they said no we can't do that - as was stated that my order would not ship for 5 weeks. I asked to have my order cancelled and she told me that she would send me a conformation email that it had been cancelled.......still waiting 3 days later. In the meantime I get an email that I have an order coming to me from UPS. I called this morning and spoke to another customer service representative and asked why I never gotten a notice that my order was cancelled and she couldn't really give me a good answer. I don't think these people know what their left hand is doing with the right hand. Some revamping in the customer service department and policies need to be changed. I will never order anything else from this company. I hope whom ever is running the company doesn't have to order something and needs to change something on their order.... heaven help....."
"Recently, I had made my FIRST online order through bootbarn which was a $140 dollar purchase to some that may not be a lot of money but to others like me, that is. With that being said, I had placed my order on 7/21 and received an email saying something along the lines ' thank your for your order, you'll be getting another email as soon as your item is shipped.' Which was typical and fair. Well, come the 3-5 business days that was stated at the bottom in terms of when the items estimated shipping date will be, it had been pasted beyond 5 business days & did not receive an email stating my item was shipped. So, I called FOUR different times. Received FOUR different responses about how they were unsure on why my order wasn't yet shipped. At that point , I reached out to a supervisor who was EXTREMELY rude spoke to me as if I was an idiot, so then I went further and asked to speak with a manager. That manager was then suppsed to call within 3o-40 minutes and 3 hours later I had to call for the 5th time because I didn't receive the phone call from the manager nor an answer on why my boots had not been shipped. Back to my 5th time calling, I was asked to be put on hold, got transfer to the rude supervisor I spoke with the first time, asked to be put on hold again, then was told I would get my phone call in 5 Minutes from that manager... that turned into a 30 min wait. So, once again, I called for the 6th time, and spoke to the manage, which she was very polite and apologetic. She had improved my standard shipping to expedited shipping, for the inconvenience. She had told me that where my boots were coming from, they were not responding to any of her emails, so she would keep contacting them and would give me a call no later than 5pm the following day, which would be 8/2. Today is now 8/3 12pm in the afternoon and i still did not receive the call. Therefore, i called for the 7th time, and its now going on the 9th business day. Unfortunately, the Manager who was supposed to contact me was in a meeting and could not speak to me at the time. So, once again I am still waiting for the answer on my my order has not been shipped. I am VERY disappointed in Bootbarns customer service and Bootbarn itself. Never will I ever order/buy anything from boot barn, again"
"Just got back from the Yuma Az store where the sales person was great, but when I got to the counter I saw that active military get a good discount! Only active military! What about the rest of us, the retired, the disabled and the people who did there service and got out. I guess we're just c--p in the eyes of boot barn management! I would urge all military and ex military to take there business elsewhere! This is a direct slap in the face to any military person. Maybe boot barn management should go the way of wounded warrior management! Out the door!
"
"This place rocks the best deals and and boots galore to choose from. In fact I loved my Ariat Fatbabys so much I found another pair worth more but on sale and discounts on top of that I went out with 10" Blue flame stitch on black leather Probabys for 65.99 two pair socks and a carhart cap for all that 69.33! I was more than pleased with them and their sales even if you went in for one thing and it doesn't work out you may luck out with a little searching. Thanks Boot Barn"
"I have been buying lots of boots and clothes in Bootbarn stores for several years, so I have this 'gold membership'. One day I tried to place an online order. Since I live in Europe and the shipping costs are extremely high at Bootbarn, I gave up another shipping address in the US, so they could forward it to me (as I often do). But Bootbarn cancelled my order, telling me there was 'fraud' with the card I was trying to pay with! So insulting and no further explanation! So I contacted customer service multiple times. That went extremely slowly on the chat, and nobody could give me an explanation how I could resolve the problem (whatever it was). So I just ended up ordering all the boots and jeans elswhere, wrote a complaint email about how they are treating loyal customers, and that I was forced to place my order elsewhere due to bad customer service. They just responded with exactly the same vague apology that there was fraud with my card (wich of course worked perfectly in all other stores) ugh, so still no explanation or solution and lots of wasted time. Thanks Bootbarn. I'll shop elsewhere in the future."
