"Do not ever use this online retailer. No actual stores with no opportunity to touch or feel items. Yet they still require a 15% restocking fee and self paid postage for any return, even those still in original packing. Total joke in today's online marketplace"
"I bought Dexter "The Nine" bowling shoes from Shoeline.com and these shoes are great, but the replacement soles are crazy high priced! When I need replacement soles, I ordered them from Bowling.com April 19, 2023 and when I got them they would not go onto my slide shoe! So I wrote a review about that and lo and behold, Rhonda at Bowling.com contacted me to see if they could help.
After sending photos of the problem and description what was wrong, Rhonda at Bowling.com went to the trouble of tracking down the problem. That was ME!
Although I thought I bought The Nine Dexter shoes, it turns out I bought the SST8 Pro. And so the replacement sole would not fit.
I will say this; even though it was my fault, Rhonda at Bowling.com worked through the problem with grace and kindness to me."
"Purchased shoes for my wife at $39.99. Being Canadian, after the conversion and shipping its close to $150. Shoes don't fit wife, i pay $35CA to return and exchange, they want to charge me another $62 to send a new pair. I would be well over $200 for a cheap pair of shoes
Absolute scam and i will make it my duty to inform the hundreds of my fellow bowlers to never purchase from this company."
"Purchased shoes for my daughter, women's size 11. Shoes 1/2 size to small, plus too wide. Purchased their add on "true fit" for returns/exchanges, $5. Women's sizes are 11 or 12, looked at Men's shoes. Found 11.5 women's and the men styles, that could work, all out of stock or insanely back ordered. Tried calling multiple times, to explain before returning. No one answered or replied. Returned and was only credited with $44 of the $70 spent on the shoes. WHAT a scam.
IF you know what you are ordering, as we have ordered a bag. That process went smooth. "
"Has VIP Rewards program that gives $5 for every $200 total purchases. You earn this reward 30 days after purchase.
I have been a loyal customer since 2015 and has never returned a single item. I called to inquire why I have not received my rewards since it is over a month since my last purchase. The answer I got is that during the holidays they extend the return period by another month and that they cannot help me. Really? I told them I was going to buy a ball spinner that costs $265 and was hoping some flexibility. Nope. I said fine, your company lost my business and will never buy ever again from them."
"This company does not know customer care. I purchased a size 9 1/2 bowling show even though I wear a size 9 because that’s what the reviews recommended. I did not pay the rip off five dollar Tru-Fit fee which is ridiculous to guarantee that I can return the shoes. Compared to all of my other shoes these are a good half inch shorter and did not fit. Even though I got a larger size. I paid $12 to return a $30 pair of shoes and then got charged a restocking fee of $4.25. This is insane. Shop elsewhere and save yourself the headaches when trying to buying bowling shoes! "
"I ordered a ball came damaged, they sent out another and received damaged as well, Wish they would credit me for a new ball free of charge after all these troubles "
"I ordered a $200 set of bowling equipment for me and my family. we were given free 90-day shipping and we got it for a family Christmas surprise!"
"I was overcharged for the return label by triple the weight of the contents. Then they had the audacity to charge an additional $5 for another label to send the exchange item. Terrible, dishonest company. Not recommended."
"The order was placed on 8/23/19 which makes it 15 days in total as the order was placed. The other shoes came within 3 days of ordering, but these shoes taken a long time to be delivered. So, I my self contact the UPS store at today where the package was delivered last on 8/31/19, and they told me that since there was no updates or movement on this package for more then 24 hours, from the date they received on 8/31/19 up to 9/6/19, the package is considered to be lost. But bowling.com rep told me that they spoke to someone at the UPS and that the package is on it's way. UPS also filed an investigation on the package. IT is very unfortunate that it happened, my son was waiting for his shoes a while now, and now I have to tell him the bad news. Hopefully, I will get my money back soon. Very unpleasant experience. Never happened to me before. Hopefully, never again."
"I purchased bowling shoes and paid $137.94 but returned due to size is too big however bowling.com refunded $113.86. Do not buy any product from this seller "
"I order a new ball, shipping was OK, but when i received it it had the wrong ball from what I ordered. I called to let them know and they offered to get me the correct one, but i already made an appointment to have the ball drilled for my next game. i asked for it to be next day and they would ship it overnight for a discounted price, but the mix up was on their end and unwilling to accommodate if i did not chipped in for the shipping ($10 off of $50). Their packing department couldn't even notice that the ball (Brunswick) was not what was ordered (Hammer) on the packing list...talk about no quality insurance and owning up to their mistake! bad customer relation model!
Once i receive the correct ball (guess we will see if their packing dept will double check the packing list) I WILL NOT purchase from them again."
"I ordered a ball in April. I was sent a heavy car part. (I did not know they manufactured car parts.) I advised the company and they did nothing to help me get the ball for my daughters party on May 21, 2018. They kept me in limbo saying the shipper had to resolve it wherein the shipper stated they had resolved it but the shipper had to contact them. A complete nightmare that was never resolved. The shipper then stated that I would have to set up a fed ex account in order to "process for a lost package in overgoods." No telling how long that would take. I would never order another product from this company. If you want to be driven crazy order from them."
"My girlfriend and I are in a Las Vegas Bowling League and she recently purchased a pair of bowling shoes from bowling.com as a birthday gift to me; she thought bowling.com was a reputable company, not knowing the many complaints bowling.com received. It turns out that the shoe manufacture makes their shoes just a little bigger than the size listed. I called bowling.com and they redirected me to their website and stated there isn't much that they could do but send me out an exchange once they've received my return. [Nowhere on bowling.com does it state shoes are slightly larger than listed]
I went onto bowling.com, created a RETURN which later found out I had to pay $17.50 for a UPS label to send them back to bowling.com so I can get an exchange, to add insult to injury bowling.com is charging me a 5% restocking fee.
UPS notifies us that my return was delivered to bowling.com; my concerns grew because days had passed and bowling.com hadn't notified us or began the exchange process. We called and to our surprise the customer service person we spoke to told us the they hadn't received them and will not process the exchange until the receive my return. We told the person, UPS delivered the shoes days ago and that they've been received by their company as it appears on UPS's website. Surprised to her, she responds with "well it take two weeks to process anyways". No thank you we said, let's just start the refund process and we'll take our business elsewhere.
Like the hundreds of people that have complained about bowling.com, the story sounds too familiar.
On resellerratings.com they are rated a 3.55 out of 10; had we seen and read the negative reviews from their customers, we would have never bought anything from this company.

"I bought a 16lb ball for $148 and shipped to Vpost US address. From there I paid another $60 to get it shipped to Singapore. Upon reaching Singapore, I realised I was given a 15lb ball. Now Bowling.com said they are paying me back $30 for their mistake and wishing that I will be able to sell off my 15 lb here in Singapore. Because of their mistake I have to pay for shipping charges again if I want to buy a 16lb ball and had to pay a full price ball again.
Now they said it is not their fault that the ball was shipped out of US! This is the extract from the customer service
“I am very sorry. As I said before, if this was in Oregon still we could replace this at no charge but the reason we cannot replace this is because it is now forwarded to Singapore. The ball was incorrect and we have admitted that is our fault, but the ball being out of the country now is not our fault and we should not have to pay extra shipping cost to ship this internationally because it went out of the country. I understand it is not fair for you to have to pay these fees but it is not something we can cover. ”
I am asking bowling.com, if i used the international shipping service that the website is offering and if when the ball reach singapore and it is wrong spec and wrong weight, is it the consumer have to bear bowling.com mistake. This is so unreasonable. If I cannot managed to sell away the 15 lb ball (which most likely will not be able to do it in Singapore alley, not a usual practice here), then i have to pay another $148 for another 16 lb ball ($118 minus off the $30 discount) and i have to fork out another 80 SGD for the courier fee. That is too ridiculous.
This is called a bully in my own term. No way this is near to acceptable. I will update the the forum here if there is any other new development in this case.
Final outcome Bowling.com felt that it was not their fault that I shipped the wrong Bowling ball to Singapore. Their miserable 30Usd remains. I will never buy anything from Bowling.com again.
One more lesson learned, use PayPal so that there is dispute arrangement. Commercial banks said since dealer did reply that is not a dispute. A***"
