"Ordered bulb garden for elderly parent. No description with pot of dirt so parent called me questioning what it was. After a month passed with no sign of life in the bulb container, she dug up the bulbs and found they were shriveled and moldy. Company sent me a replacement certificate that apparently is a worthless piece of paper. It comes up as having been used on my order already. "
"I received a box with opened packages of bulbs loose in the box all items were wrong, all Allium's , I ordered all Lily's and Iris.
I called customer service spoke with Jellica, she had a difficult time understanding that I was shipped someone else's order.
I was told my order was shipped so I would need to keep it. I would not be credited for the mistake in the warehouse. I demanded a full credit on my credit card, again Jellica said I can only give you credit on your next order. As I will never order again from this Co. , that was not acceptable. I asked to speak to the supervisor and was told he is busy. I stated that I would wait as long as it took, but would talk to him. Jellica decided she could now process a credit to my card. If the credit is not received I will Call Brecks back. "

I ordered a tree to go to a friend in a nursing home on November 20th. It was clearly labeled that it was "In Stock."
December 9 I get an email saying my order is cancelled because it is "out of stock."
I am sure my order went to an "important business customer" because the guy who delivers the office supplies is more important than the person with nothing in the nursing home who could use some cheering up.
Shame on Breck's Gifts. I will never consider them again.
They offered a whole whopping $5 for my inconvenience. The next similar item available was $30 more than what I had ordered. Not doable on my budget.

"I ordered several items marked IN STOCK. they kept my money over a month and then informed me all items out of stock. The inventory system seems poor an by the time I found out I had no bulbs coming it was too late to order elsewhere.I was able to find Some of the bulbs at Eden Brothers and had my order in less than a week!"

"This has been a miserable experience with the absolutely worst customer service, and I still have no answers as to where my 11 gift orders are, if they have been shipped, where the tracking information is, etc. I have called several times, which is exceedingly difficult for me because I am basically deaf (have closed captions on the phone), yet the person has not been able to help me, and my repeated emails keep bouncing back as either 'temporary failure' or 'permanent error' messages -- can't believe I placed orders of almost $350, yet there is no one who can answer the most basic questions. Never again, and no one should do business with them -- horrible company and customer service that is non-existent."
"Horrible company to deal with. Order large order of sale items all were marked as in stock. Was supposed to arrive 8/13/19. Never arrived! I contacted company and was instructed to order again although almost everything was out of stock and at higher prices. Was essentially told tough crap."
"I placed an order a month ago and intentionally did not order anything noted as "on back order". After several weeks I called to ask where my order was and was told it was on back order but would ship a week ago. Still not here..... so I called again and was told it would ship today and would arrive in 7-10 days - too late to plant AND I explained I would be leaving town for an extended time before probable delivery and wanted to cancel the order and be refunded. Oh - no can do!! They will not cancel the order so I will return home to a driveway full of dead plants which they will issue a credit for - NOT A REFUND - like I'm interested in dealing with them EVER again!!"
"I bought over 200.00 worth of flowers online and paid with Paypal so I wouldn’t receive a bill. Brecks is so ignorant and uninformed they sent me a bill for 10.00. It seems they forgot the tax ! That’s on them they know they are supposed to charge tax ! After calling them on it they told me I wouldn’t have to pay it. After that another bill ! I obviously cancelled my order. I can’t believe they gave up a 200.00 order for a lousy 10.00 which was their fault ! And they are still sending me a bill. There is definitely something wrong with these people ! Never buy from them you will live to regret it ! "

I received some unsolicited mail from a very reputable charity. When I asked them where they received my name and home address from they said Breck's Bulbs sent them their customer list. I have indeed been a customer of Breck's in the past. I called Breck's to express my unhappiness with their apparent policy and to request my name and information be removed from their system. The person I spoke to, Dan from Ohio of no last name, said the charity, or I, must be lying since it's against company policy to do so. He dismissively said that he would look into it but refused to provide me with an agent number, contact info or a complaint number.
Without a complaint number I have no way of knowing if an official complaint has been filed (I doubt it) and I have no way of following up with the issue. Also, if the information had been stolen then why aren't they at all concerned about client credit card information also having been stolen?

"Had two orders totaling $96.29 and they charged my credit card $176.77 and even after 5 emails and one personal phone call that included my credit card company on the line, they refuse to credit me with the overcharge. Not sure who their customer service company is but it would be wise for them to get a domestic one and not a low cost overseas customer service. Not sure how they stay in business."
"I placed an order and 1 out of the 8 items i ordered arrived, the rest we items i didn't order. When I called they were going to "resend my order." Instead of getting the other 7 items I ordered, I received 3 items. I called again and they were going to resend me the 4 missing items, I received 3 and a merchandise credit for the 4th item since they were out of stock. The last 3 items they sent me, only 2 were correct. So i called again. I used the merchandise credit to order 3 other things from their website (paying more of course bc shipping was $9.95). I then received only two of these items with ANOTHER merchandise credit for $6.00. I have now called the company saying I don't want to purchase anything from them anymore and I wanted the $6.00 back. they told me "no." i will absolutely never order from them again. I placed my original order on 4/26/19. Today is 6/18/19 and it's still not corrected :( "
