"This system was installed by Monotronics which was bought by Brinks. This is the second time in six months that we have experienced false alarms, the first resulting in the Fire Department being sent to the house. We are somewhat disappointed that there is no local technisions available to assess the state of our equipment."
"The agent was quite present and responsive to me in a comfortable and personable way. This helped me to settle down in the midst of all the chirping. Once I was settled down and felt more balanced I realized that the problem of the continuing chirping was in the 4 smoke alarms (which were disconnected from the ceiling). All I needed to do was remove the batteries. I did and the chirping stopped. The Fire Department had already told me, based on the time spacing between the chirps and that the problem was in the devices and not the batteries. The Brinks agent told me that the security system does not chirp. And because he was supportive and considerate, that helped me to balance my internal state and then problem solve in an effective way, remove the batteries from the disconnected devices and terminate the chirping."
