Turns out that Sandisk changed the write latency on their 128 MB SD cards making it hit and miss with the Zaurus. I went to the website, hit "return", I instantlly had a prepaid return shipping label and had a credit within 10 days of mailing the package.

"I ordered a LinkSys wireless Access Point Router with 4-Port Switch (BEFW11S4) from Buy.com on Sunday evening, Oct. 6. It had free shipping by UPS ground. It arrived on Tuesday, Oct. 8. It was packed well and the delivery time is outstanding. I checked the tracking information from an email buy,com sent me saying my order had shipped. It said it was delivered. Huh? I went to the front porch and there it was. I wasn't expecting it for a few more days.
I have ordered a few times from Buy.com and this latest experience has convinced me to try them first.
The prices, although not the lowest, have proved to be more than fair, especially considering the free shipping on a lot of items. No nasty rebate forms to fill out and the 6-10 week wait for a rebate either. (At least eith this item)

"I've known friends who have ordered through Buy.com before, and all of them were pleased with the entire experience. "I am a long time shopper at buy.com. They have great prices. I purchased a fuji 2900mx digital camera from their clearance section as their "price mistake of the day." It was $210+$15s/h.
First, it came sooo quickly (like the next day) even though I opted for ground shipping.
Second, I noticed that the next day, this product qualified for free shipping. I emailed customer serivice about this issue, and about a week later, they refunded the shipping charge!
As a long time customer, buy.com is definately a great place to shop. I highly recommend it to anyone, especially their clearence rack(but be warned about their return policy for clearence). "

"I was just checking through the recent ratings and was looking at some of BUY.COM's recent posts.
I have mixed feelings about them. They used to be my ONLY source (excluding monitors and whole PC's) for all of my IT purchases. They used to be much cheaper and quicker to ship than anyone else I had ever used. Then I found out about Pricewatch.com and resellerratings.com. That is when I discovered newegg.com. They have not become my exclusive e-tailer, but I end up using them 90% of the time (if they carry the item).
BUY.COM used to exclusively ship UPS and now they use both UPS and Fedex Ground. In my experience and in this location UPS ground is MUCH quicker and their tracking system is a lot better.
For those recent reviews where you were being charged $10 bucks for calling their 800 number I have a gem for you. I have kept this number from years ago and have backed it up to 3 locations so I do not lose it. Here is a customer service number:

"Great store, great experience. I have bought many items from this store for over 3 years. my first purchase was on 1/15/2001. I have purchased items from $3 to $1625. I once even ordered a cell phone and it was easier than dealing with the guys in the mall. In fact, I changed my mind about the phone and returned it and that was a pleasurable experience. I couldn't rate them high enough. They are always my first choice. Their prices are always in the top 5 and occasionally they are the cheapest on the net (which is the world). With great service and great prices, if they have it here, but it here. My only other top 5 reccomendation is newegg.com"
"I have placed three separate orders in the last month, all with free shipping. All the orders were received within one week (two orders were received in 3 & 4 days). For DVDs and Books they are usually the lowest on everything but advanced orders (CDNow is cheaper there). But, with free shipping and no tax, the are consistently the best bargain. I have always received my shippment promptly and in good condition."

"I bought a Microtek 4900 scanner from buy.com which cost me $133 plus shipping.
After 33 days of use, the scanner developed smears under the scanner glass which meant we got very poor quality scans. Microtek replaced the scanner with one which was also immediately faulty.
Buy.com refused to help with either the original fault (3 days after the end of their return period which - note - STARTS on their shipping date - not when you receive it) or after we got the second model from Microtek.
The refusal was not after they tried to lean on THEIR supplier or anything - it was a point blank 'after 30 days we don't care about you, Mr Customer ...... oh, and we hope to do business with you again in the future'.
Microtek (who of course have their own faults in this) said that if you buy from Staples, OfficeDepot or CDW, then they had heard that these companies are more helpful in being more flexible in their policies.
I, for one, will never be doing business with buy.com again and will be telling all the magazines that voted this site no.1 not to be so misleading to their readers."
