" I purchased a memory module (RAM) that a local computer chain did not have.Buy.com had it at the lowest price.As this was the first purchase from this company I was somewhat apprehensive.After reading reviews I decided to make the purchase.
Recieved e-mails from Buy.com upon order confirmation , reciept of payment and when product shipped.I recieved my order the next morning and it was shipped the previous day.
Everything in transaction went flawless,I really like their website tracking of your order.
I'd order from them again.

I have had to return two orders in the past (a firewire card for not working, and a 802.11 card for not working with my OS), and the returns went very smoothly without any restocking fees. They also allowed my to print a pre-paid shipping label for the 1st return and mailed me my second one. Their prices are very comparable to everywhere else. Nice selection and some great deals if you catch them at the right time."

Everything i ordered from here in the past and now have been quality stuff. All brand new and always delivered super fast. I mean, i ordered somefin one day and came the next day.... wow ! I've purchased many items from buy.com and have never had a problem. I have never received damaged items from them nor have any of these items arrived in non-working condition. Therefore, I cannot address their customer service in those departments. Overall, I'd buy from them again."

"At 3:30 p.m. 12-5-02 I ordered two Surgemasters during their 4-hour sale with free regular shipping. I received the items less than 24 hours later. I did NOT order them overnight shipping. The items were as advertised. This is about my sixth purchase from Buy.com and have had the same excellent service each time.
I do need to say that I've never received a product in non-working order, nor have I ever received the wrong item and never had to send anything back. So I can't speak at all to their customer service. But all six times I've ordered from them, I've received exactly what I've ordered at the advertised price and received the items quickly. They also kept me apprised of when the order was accepted and when it was shipped.

"I ordered a nextel phone (i85s) with a phone plan, and everything seemed ok. I did not get information about the order (i waited a couple days) so I emailed them. They emailed me back saying I had to give Nextel some more information. Hmm maybe they should email me that instead of waiting for me to email them... oh well...
I contact Nextel and get everything squared away, and contact buy.com. They say it went through but they were having some issues with Nextel (with backordering.) I asked them if they was an estimated time, there reply was no. I check on the site and the phone and plan are still there, saying In Stock: Can ship ing 24 to 48 hours. I emailed them back about this and they just ignored me giving me some templatized response. Also when they say they will responed in 12 hours that does not always happen.
Its Dec 05 and I ordered on Nov 20, and I doubt I will get the phone anytime soon. I will probably cancel and go directly through Nextel, but this is one of the worst companies I have dealt with online. They have a Brazil (the movie) style customer support.

"I purchased a set of wireless headphones from buy.com which were priced at $209.00 along with the headphones came an instant rebate of $80.00. I made my purchase on a Saturday however, on Sunday I found a better price on a better set of headphones at another retailer.
I want back to buy.com to cancel my order on Sunday afternoon. I never did get a cancelation notice from buy.com however, on Monday I got an email stating that my order was shipped on Sunday.
I checked the UPS tracking number and found that the order actually shipped on Monday night at 6:49 pm.
I got the product quickly however, buy.com did cancel something, they cancelled the instant $80.00 rebate and charged me the full amount.
I called buy.com and guess what...they want yet another $9.95 to talk to a customer support rep.

"Well, lets see, I was a first time
customer:
1. $9.25 to talk to someone
about my order when calling
about a price change/match. Bad.
2. I submitted a price match
request instead of using a
$15 dollar off coupon. The
price match was against Wal-Mart (Amazon.com does too) who had the product for $25.00 dollars less than buy.com.
3. Less than 12 hours later,
the lower price was posted
on thier site that I submitted a price match for.
4. No email or indication of
price match on my online invoice.
5. I canceled the order above
because I wasn't going to pay $9.25 for a phone consultation to
try to get the order fixed.
6. I try to re-do order at
new price with $15 dollar off
coupon.
7. The checkout won't allow me
to check out with the coupon.
Overall, I was really annoyed because the checkout cart gave no reason as to why the coupon was blocking my order. The coupon was stated it was good for new customers for purchases of $175.00 or higher, and the item must be a 24-48 hour ship. I met all 3 qualifiers.
Now, we will see how customer service email
response is to this. And since I ordered on Saturday, Canceled on Sunday, and they say they only ship M-F, they better not have shipped to me.
Anyway, It looks like it is true what others say: if you just order, pay, you will recieve.
But, if there are any second thoughts/changes, they don't seem to handle that well.
If they actually resolve this to my satisfaction by 12/02/2002, then I will change from dissatified to happy.

Well, after 25 hours, I heard back from customer service. They claim the coupon was only for the Electronics Store. This is annoying because I look, and because digital cam's are double entered into Web Site, they can say anything they please as regards to the category of the camera. I also check compiters they use for price matching. Not one of them catagorizes a digi cam as a Computer product. It is either an Electronics Item or a Camera Item.

Tried again. They failed again. Claimed camera was out of stock despite the web site showing it was in stock. Ever notice how the always apologize in thier support emails? It is not only meaningless, it is very patronizing as it is the same as saying "Oh, we messed up, but so what?". Never again will I deal with this company. "
