"NOT RECOMMENDED! I ordered on a Friday. On Monday I got a shipping notice with a UPS tracking number. The following Friday (a full week after I placed the order) I got an order canceled notice. Their mistake cost me a lot of extra money, time, and hassle which they refuse to take any responsibility for. They don't have phone support and so I had to use their support chat system. I spent too much time explaining the problem and in the end I felt that I had wasted my time and energy; I ultimately felt even more dissatisfied."
"Indeed the item was delivered on Christmas Eve. However, the tracking number show the item still in Tennessee on Dec 24, and being delivered on Dec 27th. I could only assume you were not living up to your standards by getting the items to me as promised. I was shocked when they arrived at my door on Chrismtas Eve. "I have ordered from buy.com a lot in the past with no problem. However, this time I purchased something from one of their vendors through buy.com site. I was charged for the item and never received it. I contacted the vendor 5 times no response. I then contacted buy.com 6 different times via phone and chat. They said they could not assist in the matter until they spoke with their vendor and would get back to me the next day. I was told this 4 different times and didn't hear back from buy.com ever. They would not cancel my order or do anything useful besides say "rest assured we are trying our best....wait 24 hours!" Thus, I had to contact my credit card company to hopefully get my money refunded. This is the worst, most useless customer service I have ever received. If buy.com is going to process orders from a third party they should also be responsible for these vendors. WHAT AN AWFUL EXPERIENCE FROM WHAT I USED TO THINK WAS A GOOD COMPANY."

I have finally gotten a working tracking number. Buy.com has now "re-ordered" the TV again proving my guess that the previous shipment was fake. Looking at other complaints here it seems that this is a very common thing that buy.com does. When buy.com wants to cancel orders, they simply generate a fake tracking number and then claim that the item was lost in shipment and then issue a refund. In my case since I complained a lot, they finally sent something. Although I would not be surprised now if the TV is the same defective piece that I returned. I did note down the serial number of the TV which I returned so I will check it when it gets delivered. Such blatant liars are capable of anything really!

Still no sign of a valid tracking number or the TV. Tomorrow I will call my credit card company and dispute the charge. No wonder buy.com made it to the recent "naughty" list of online retailers. The customer service agents now dont even bother responding to my emails or these reviews.

Buy.com supposedly sent a replacement TV 2 days after they received my defective TV. That was less than 5-7 days they mention on their website. BUT the tracking information they sent is bogus and the tracking number shows nothing on fedex website. No response from customer service either. I think they generated the bogus number as a delaying tactic and they have no plans of actually shipping me the TV. Buyer Beware!

Bought TV. TV was defective so I returned for exchange. Return shipping was pre-paid by buy.com.
So far so good? After Buy.com received the defective TV, they will take 5-7 business days to process the exchange. Not acceptable. Way too long for something that was not my fault. Also, Buy.com censors reviews on its site. I tried to give the TV a bad review but it was never published.
