"I placed an order at Buy.com for Windows 7 Professional full. This was a marketplace item actually shipped by SoftwareMedia. My understand is that Buy.com is acting as an agent of SoftwareMedia. I contacted Software media and they satisfied my concerns about a purchase made by me using Buy.com as how the warranty would be handled if I needed it. The software was shipped via UPS in a timely manner and arrived in perfect condition. I will be installing it next week after receiving a new hard drive for the new operating system. "I have been shopping at buy.com for about 5-6 years now. Have had a good experience and was using their buy.com-chase credit card. Good prices mostly. Of late I have noticed their catalouge has shrunk a little bit. But I still manage to find good deals on what they offer.
Pluses:1. Free shipping on many items when on sale.
2. Good prices.
Minus: I wish they had a amazon.com policy of free shipping on any order more than 25. It helps.
Also, I wish they had more info on the products like newegg organizes.

"This is the absolute worst company on the Internet. I ordered a motherboard on 11/7/10 and they claimed they shipped it on 11/10/10 to FedEx. It's been exactly a week since it's supposed to be shipped and FedEx still has not received the shipment - meaning buy.com hasn't even shipped my product!
I contacted customer service and they can't even figure out where the package is. At this point, I would accept nothing less than a full refund. No, I don't want any gift cards, just my full refund!
