"My memory arrived today and I was very pleased to see it. The thing that drew me to buy.com was, course, the price. It was in some cases less than half of what I saw other places for the same thing. The memory was for a Dell and Dells own memory was significantly more Thank you buy.com and I will definitley be back.

"Pre-ordered an item that was released Sunday. Order status had not chance since the date I initially placed my order. Finally canceled my order on Friday. I will avoid Buy.com in the future.
5 hours after I requested my order to be canceled, they shipped my order anyways. Unfortunately I placed an order for what I wanted with another online store, which will have it delivered Saturday. Now, I'll have to take a day off from work so I'll be home to refuse Buy.com's shipment. I was hoping to wipe my hands with the cancellation, but it seems it keeps getting worse.
UPDATE: Was issued an RMA. I won't take anything back I said. After saying that, Buy.com did make things right, and I will give them another shot."

"Had to submit billing information 4 times (the same information.) An item I purchased went out of stock some time after my order was placed, but the status of that item in my order (2 weeks later) still said processing in warehouse usually ships in 1 day (be nice to have accurate status.) Took 6 days to send me an email informing me of the backorder (way too long.) After waiting an additional week, hoping the item would be restocked in a timely manor, I contacted buy.com to try and get an ETA, and they had no clue. It's one thing to leave the order open if you are actually going to be able to fulfill the order, its another to leaver your customer hanging in the dark. I work at a retailer that does online sales, so I understand that inventory discrepancies happen, and that credit card authorizations can be picky. But we also have real time inventory tracking (it is 2010 after all,) and when there is a discrepancy, we inform the customer immediately, not a week later. If, for some reason we can't fulfill the order in a timely manor we let the customer know and just accept that we probably lost that sale to another site. We don't leave the order open with some vague notion that you might get your item if wait long enough. Overall newegg and amazon offer a much better online shopping experience
